Doesn't need long complicated answers - just a simple question:

Do you invest
1. mainly on price/the market trends
2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
3. pretty even split of the two.

In my case, my way of investing is to split them into those two categories you've mentioned. Actually they're connected that is why I use them both as a basis if it is good or bad to invest to a particular coin/token. As of now, I also had chosen to invest on those NFT projects, especially those NFT games that are currently booming like Axie Infinity and Plants vs Undead.

Currently looking for more potential NFT games, you might want to mention some guys, thanks Wink

In the purchasing processes, I first look at the project team and its details. Apart from that, if the grown-ups are selling what they have by chance, I try to collect them after they fall. That's the Golden Rule for me. I never invest in other people's opinions. Because they are always wrong.

1. mainly on price/the market trends
Of course. Everyone is tempted to see the crypto trend. Especially by looking at the condition of Bitcoin which has increased from $5k to $50k. Many of the crypto players have long since quit and returned to open their wallets.

2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
No. Most people don't understand the use of NFT, even I have a hard time thinking about it. Maybe we often understand NFT because of the information from this forum, but most other crypto traders are not active in the forum.

Doesn't need long complicated answers - just a simple question:
3. pretty even split of the two.
What is there to split in this case?

I am currently investing in an old altcoin that I trust, which the coin is already based on my research. Because based on experience I will choose a coin that is strong and held by a bearish market and quickly recovers. For NFT is currently trending, if you have more funds, it can be adjusted to your current capital, and of course the risk is borne by each.

If you do not want a long and complex answer then most likely you do not want to hear the real answer at all, the markets are not simple, if they were then anyone would earn money and since that is not the case then the answer by definition must be a complex one.

Traders and investors spend hundreds if not thousands of hours refining their techniques and trying to find any edge they can find, the first two options that you give are nothing more but the general views that traders and investors have respectively about the markets, and that is not enough tot become profitable on them.

Of course I invest based on price, market trends and based on the amount of capital I use. If my capital is a lot I will buy ethereum or BNB for the long term and BNB for the medium term. And coins whose prices are still not high but potentially good in the future. As for the short term I only buy a few altcoins which I then sell at a certain price and I buy them back.
Definitely number two. Don't get me wrong I do not have much NFT, but if I am going to invest into any NFT ever, then it must be useful for one way or another. Look at Axie for example, it has a huge use and you could make a lot of money with it, that's still considered NFT as well but gaming, it is not a picture, it is not a jpeg that was put into NFT, it is not some tweet, it is not a painting put into NFT format, it is literally just a game and you can make so much money from it.

I wouldn't own Picasso's paintings as NFT but I would spend more on some silly Axie just because I can make an income with one while the other is useless until I make some profit from it by selling, and after I sell it then there is no way to make an income from it neither. For something to be worthy of my investment, I need to make sure that I could make an income with it.

Lol, when is the price is too high? You could sell right now and the price could go up to 100,000 $. In stock market the saying goes: timing in the market beats market timing. In crypto this is not always the case due to the very high volatility. Maybe this principle is valid with some of the top coins: BTC, ETH, LTC,...

Take advantage of the Market Downturn to Increase Investment/Buy Shares.

Think and act positively in negative conditions, We can benefit from this. Instead of releasing the shares you own, you can actually get lucky by buying a number of new shares when the stock declines. We can use the low price to buy more units and make it an investment that will generate more profits in the future.

sometimes I follow the trend of the rising market in the hope of making a profit as quickly as possible even though it is very risky.
but of all the things I do in terms of investment strategy I choose long-term investments and choose coins with high volume because I think these coins have the potential to be profitable in the future.

I invest based on market prices and trends, my strategy implementation is not all coins are treated the same. Coin price variations determine long-term or short-term trades. for example, in Eth I chose to invest in the long term, of course, apart from a fairly large price, it is also a potential Altcoin that many investors are interested in.
I also follow the strategy of the price action and the trend .Its actually mostly help to the long term holder you can get easily profit there if you become patient .However the following trend of the crypto concern helps you to earn for shortly but it is so risky if the project become scam. Its a crypto world you can earn surely if you work here on cool head you can easily find a strategy to get profit .

That’s a good strategy. But yes guess what? Everyone has their own techniques and methods.
For me i choose the coins that are trending in the twitter and buy them when necessary.
Also while choosing the coins i go for tokens promoted by big companies and people.
I know this strategy is followed by many and yes this only works everytime.
Hope this helps you OP.

yes invest mainly in price/MARKET TRENDS and i mostly like to invest in famous coins. I put every good opportunity I always put there with variations in coin prices determining long-term or short-term trades, in choosing a good token it is very necessary to have the right analysis for the safety of our future investment

Do we know the price is now cheaper and when is the right time to buy? if we buy in the market, of course it's too late because the price of good altcoins is certainly expensive, there is the best way to get a cheap price, namely by buying during the ICO, choose an ICO that has a good reputation then when the market is available, it is easy to get profit up to 10x.

In my portfolio, 40% are top coins: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polkadot, Ethereum Classic. 10% are investments with varying degrees of risk, 1-3% of them are very high-risk investments.
50% are stablecoins.
You can make high-risk investments when you have capital. If there is a loss of 1-2 thousand dollars, then this is not a problem. But you don't need to do this with your last money, in the hope of becoming rich.
I always follow news-based tared when I see a token or coin has good news coming within a short time then I try to make buy this token or coin and when market dump then I try to buy and when market pump then I sell it this is my strategy for trade.

Between the three, I often invest base on the second one.

I think the usefulness of the token is really the reason why I invest and why people are investing. For sure, nobody wants to invest into something that has no use case or no uses at all. Now with regards to the NFT part, I'm investing also base on the use case of the NFT token inside the game (since I'm only investing on NFT related games).

Number 2 is my number one criteria number one is a pump and dump and when you engage in pump and dump and you miss the chance or late to dump your shares you will end selling whatever price to cut your loss, it's been proven that coins/token that will stay on top of the market are those with proven usage and supported by the community.
it is very risky to follow the trend that is built in the market. like buying in assets that are being pumped or dumped. especially in a pump situation, because if we are late in selling our assets at the right moment then we will only get losses or have to hold on for the long term.
a little better at investing when it's a dump. select market potential assets and acquire them for the long term. it will definitely be profitable. the most important thing is the selected asset.

I make investments based on market trends and prices, but not all coins I treat the same, there are several aspects that determine whether it will be a long-term or short-term investment, such as ETH and BNB which I currently make long-term investments because these two coins are mutually exclusive. I have potential and have many fans.

Isn't it a high risk to invest in a new project? especially when buying private coins or seeds? what if it fails? Are you ready to take risks that you never imagined?..

Risks when investing are present everywhere, and cryptocurrency is no exception. And despite this, I successfully invest in such projects at an early stage, although there are negative results. Suffice it to say that one successful project covers the loss of 10 unsuccessful ones, although in practice such unsuccessful projects do not exceed 30%.

Most successful investment strategy is buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying which can be long term or short term but definitely it is the most successful one.
Honestly, I say this is a good theory, but its implementation is very difficult, need accurate data when deciding to buy a coin that many have already sold or vice versa, if you just choose the coin that is being dumped then we are very likely to be stuck being a long holder , unless we do it on well know coins like BTC, ETH, BNB or coins that are in list 1-100 in CMC.

snip

I'm more to number one, currently have not tried to invest in NFT, considering it but still looking for projects that I think are good
