I just want some consistency. If you're going to say alcohol is OK, despite it causing many deaths while driving, by overdosing, or long-term damage to the liver and a person's intelligence, or to a woman's baby while in the womb, then you can't turn around and say drugs like marijuana and LSD are worthy of banishment, especially when their effects aren't as severe.

Marijuana is illegal in our country, maybe because some users are abuse to use it, im hoping that one day it will be legal because it has the potential to cure the sick.
I don't believe in the "medicinal" properties of marijuana. But at the same time, it has the potential to act as a cheap and affordable painkiller, especially for people suffering from diseases such as cancer. That is why the pharma cartels remain opposed to the legalization of weed.
Same a with other prohibited drugs the usage of it will just begin with trying until such time that youre gonna like it...
And time will come that its still gonna fall to drug addiction.

Legalization and "illegalization" has to do with taking away freedom from people. The freedom issue is way more important than the drug issue.

On the first place, drugs like methamphetamine are created without beneficial effect along with drugs like ecstasy. So if they are not bad, what are they considering they are produced with the wrong intention of gaining money rather than being beneficial. They are used by people because they exist. If there would be no greedy people wanted to earn money then there would be no drug addict. It is a business.
What I meant by "There's nothing really bad about it in itself" is that people are free to ruin and do what they want in their life. They have that freedom to make their own decisions whether good or bad. I did not mean that there's nothing wrong with drugs. There is, it can cause a lot of damage.

Many first try drugs out of curiosity, to have a good time, because friends are doing it, in an effort to improve athletic performance or ease another problem, such as stress, anxiety, or depression. I don't care why one can take drugs but the choice of taking drugs is harming their families and friends.
90% of the time, it results from compulsion from the friends. And this happens especially when the youngsters stay away from their parents, in places such as college hostels and dormitories.

So far I've noticed that guys that do drugs like mdma, ecstasy, cocaine, weed(if you consider it a drug, I don't tho) are lowlifes that are in the setting of "Let's get wasted, party and then do some more drugs" and nothing else but they always look at themselves as something higher than the others.

When it comes to recreational use in which I dont have any issues with but the concern is, how will government will be able to regulate that? Because even as at now where I stay and its illegal, there are several people using it especially youths who are fond of Marijuana and quite a number of them have been wasted due to what it caused to their body. I wonder what the country will turn to the moment its now being legalized in the barest minimum, I see large percentage of the youth being wasted away by this social menace.
