The coins remind me the Mexican cartels and the influencers remind me the police who get cash flow.
They don't care about the people they care about their money and they will supress the law for it.
Everyone is shill everyone promotes other coin for money even the people who seem legit and naive are shills. nobody is trusty.
I lost my money because their advices.
You should post these channels so you can warn others, they are being paid to shill coins and they don't really do diligent research to find out the reputation of the coin, there are so many of them, we even have a bounty here for YouTubers, so next time don't just believe on them d your own research, it's your money you should be responsible for it.

I do not watch Crypto Youtubers anyway, I think it would be a waste of time listening to them with their excited gestures, their high pitched voice, their almost boy next door - "I am a successful Bitcoiner" look. But of course, I would depend more on people in this forum, but don't get me wrong, I don't randomly listen to some bloke on this forum but rather I listen to the old timers here and see who they listen to and what resources they use. You learn from the resources and eventually you practice what you have learned, make mistakes along the way and learn more.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
If ever you think that way, then just simply ignore and never watch YT. It makes no sense for you to follow them as it only gives frustration.
But honestly, you can't just put blame on them, their job is to attract and encourage people to invest in altcoins but not knowing that they never know what they say and possibly that they are not investing in real life. Think that these person has been paid for the promotion and it's you as an investor, it is also important to make your own search, not just easily following what they say.

Taking extra time before dealing with your prospect, investing needs to undergo with depper

research and analylis, never to blindly follow other peoples opinions, there's no one to blame

when you lose your money aside from you. Those influencers are only caring about their  money,

just like what OP just said. if you don't want to lose your money it's a must to work with your own

research and invest when you already done with it.

I just hope that you learned from this mistake that you did.

I don't want to say all but most of these youtube channels and influencers are being paid by these companies just to advertise their project and those channels can just say that "Ohh we are still in a bull run, we are just seeing a short correction" blah blah blah and most of their supports will follow him like bullsh*t.

Information regarding crypto can be found in Google. It takes only a few minutes to research about the coin yet there are people who are still getting scammed because of this shilled projects. Well, learning here in crypto is very expensive though Cheesy. You need to get scammed or getting baited thru these youtube channels before you will learn Cheesy. Can't blame you especially if you are a newbie but hope you learned from this.

This is true for all of influencers and media. The whole of social media is trying to brainwash to something that they believe. Even the traditional media are filled with lies and propoganda. And they do change their rhetoric without shame when they want to. It's always better to think of yourself and doubt everything you hear and see from others. 10 times more when it involves your hard earned money.

Never seen a youtube channel, whos aim was not to earn. There are only few enthusiasts, that shoot videos just for society. These kind of youtube channels are often hard to find and they have only several thousand subscribers (lucky if they have at least a thousand). All others care only about money. They either make a video to insert a product promotion in it. Or will try to clickbait with video name and earn on number of views. They are all corrupt and will do everything for the money or fame.

There are bad police in any part of the World. If you expose other places that seem to have good cops to thesme condition that contributed to the kind of corruption , they could easily get corrupted especially if most are tired or afraid of reporting the corruption because entities at the top often ignore or call the reporters things like conspiracy theorist even without throroughly investigating the case.

YouTube should encourage people to report things like that and make sure every reported case is taken seriously. I believe that will greatly encourage people to report scams and itll became difficult for scammers to thrive there

I think that first users must start to have a more critical approach towards what they see and not go blindly on the next project that the influencers on duty promote for a fee.

I understand what you are trying to convey here. At the end of the day, it depends on the user himself if he will believe what is being promoted or do his own due diligence. However, there are so many gullible users over the net and a lot of them are after for the possible get-rich-scheme. This is the reason why some of them are being tempted to join what is being promoted. But as an ordinary user, if you believe that the video is promoting a ponzi scam, we can always hit the report button of the video. And maybe, YT will investigate on its content.

it’s time that you start to wise up. You have to know by now that YouTubers created their channels mostly to make earnings from it. So they are not going to say No to all these companies that approaches them with a deal. But some of them are good enough to even give you warnings to remind you to do your own research before investing in anything.

So, you shouldn’t just buy whatever you’re being told on their channels. You also have to do your own research and also ask questions and know what other people thinks about the project you’re planning to buy. That’s very important.
They could still make a good profit from their channel if they are honest, it would be very tough and it would not be profitable right away and it would require copious amount of work but you could still do it. How?

Well, just find the real gems that you believe that has a chance, make videos of it with tedious work, show the pros and cons and why you should buy it or should stay away from it, and hell even make videos about bad tokens as well, and try to market your youtube channel everywhere, twitter to instagram to reddit to here everyone should see it, and whenever the token from your video is talked somewhere share your video which will require you to scrawl the whole web constantly. So at the end of the day it is possible, it is very hard but it is possible. However people prefer the easy way out and just take money and promote useless and worthless stuff.

KOLs and influence people or influencers create their YouTube channels to get money. A very few of them do this for fun but most of them do this because of money.

Hence they will accept good offers to advertise projects. Good people will only accept offers from legit companies. Bad people will accept all offers include from scam companies.

At the ends, audience of those guys need to be responsible for their decisions. They are responsible for what they choose to watch, and decisions to invest or not.

Is it the defi trade that you're referring to? Of course, everyone will do anything for a buck. He's an influencer, and it's up to you to decide whether or not you'll be influenced by him. It's clear that they're doing it to get money, as evidenced by their video evaluation. How can you trust a new currency without doing any research? Don't rely on content because those influencers aren't actually caring for you.

There are also influencers that scam devs so don't really trust them easily if they're just spitting words without even explaining the whole roadmap of a project or coin.

They can be quite useful in boosting the number of holders and buyers of a new coin as part of a marketing strategy, but always remember to DYOR, since it can go down at any time. Because of an influencer, I earned x5 easily because of that marketing strat.

Yah, I remember you very clearly, first I was hesitant but your UID sounds familiar and I did a little search and saw your old post about losing money. I read some of your older posts as well and saw almost all are about your bad experiences with crypto. How much did you exactly lost in your previous trades? Thousands of dollars worth of coins? You still have those coins, right? If you do then wait for the next all time high. All of us are doing it, maybe you can too. Here is your old post that I remembered from.

I had 3k on pancakeswap and did almost 4x now is return to break even.
I had Ethereum 4.7 now its 2k
I had ada $2 now is 1.5
Also I lost in ogn

I lost a lot of money on crypto more than 8000$

Is it recoverble this year?

That is their job as an influencer. If you are already in that kind of field of course you will use it as a tool to earn or shill coins for your own benefit. As a viewer you should not blame this influencers if you haven't done your own research before investing on the coin they are promoting.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been a victim of these youtube scammers.

Yes, there are a lot of this people in Youtube, that's why it is not advisable to listen to them. For one, they really don't know what they are talking about, second, if they told you to buy a certain coin, it's because they are a bag holder of it and can dump it anytime soon.

So I guess this is a big and expensive lessons to learn, still the best weapons for us - DYOR.

Sorry for your loss. It's not all YouTuber's fault, I feel it's your fault too. You should have done some research before investing, If you did this then today you would not have to face the loss. Anyway, it's a lesson for you, of course, a bit expensive but in the future, you will not blindly invest in any project.

Advice
  • Whenever you hear about a project, do your research thoroughly before jumping into it.

it is too risky to invest without researching it first. even big investors will research a coin before they buy it because what they want is profit. it's not entirely the influencers' fault because they only work according to what is asked and our job is to process and choose the right coins to invest. especially if we are going to invest with a big amounts. it can be a lesson in the future before investing we must research it well so that the coins we have can be profitable

How can you put your hardearned money into someone's wallet just by hearing or listening a video?
Its a fact that youtubers take money for promoting any project and most of them dont even do
a research about it. Thats how they make money for their livelyhood. Their aim is to promote the project or to help projects reach masses. Its your duty to check or research about the project before investing into it.

It is sad to hear that you lost money but you should never take advices from random social media personalities as you cannot trust their advises and most of the time they will promote if they are paid to do so and we have seen many influencers promoting scam projects in the past and it will continue like that in the future, so always be cautious while taking advices from any influencer .

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
I'm sorry to hear that you lost money because of them. However, I don't recommend investing based on other people's opinions. Especially some guy/girl on youtube. Yeah, you can consider their opinion on certain cryptocurrencies, but you should always dyor and come with your own thought processes. This is how you get smarter and your bank account will probably also be grateful. Smiley

I know a couple of pretty insightful youtubers that actually provide value instead of looking for fast affiliate marketing gains. They are not promoting shitcoins though AFAIK, but providing trading knowledge.
