It might be a dumb question but has anyone in Pakistan mined Memorycoin before? It's a SHA-512 coin and resistant to GPUs and ASICs. I would like to get some feedback about it.
It wouldn't be profitable at current price levels of MMC but notice that there are few coins (around 1.2 million) left to be mined. Maybe you can benefit from it if the electricity cost in Pakistan is low.
Nawazish is too much busy due to his transfer he is only miner here from Pakistan on this forum but hope he will give you some update about this in near future

Hello Everyone.

I would really like to find out how many Active Bitcoin Miners, Traders, Service Providers, Etc are operating from within Pakistan.

Right Now  i do not have a clue where our thread stands but i see a couple of Nodes coming out of our region.

Also i proposed a Bitcoin Meetup and understand that it might not be possible but if everyone agrees and is interested we can do an virtual one where we all connected to a meeting room and get to know each other and discuss bitcoin.

please let me know your opinion about this.

Regards

Duke

I think someone has opened this thread so that Pakistanis will not be offended :-)

Good point.

Dont worry this thread will be booming soon. Just been very busy with some other projects and trying to wrap those up before we get started to real business.

Regards

Duke
Good luck for your all projects I am also very keen about activity here but all are very busy and I am victim of worst load shedding but still have some hope about good news from here

GENESIS-MINING is a new and very promising Scrypt cloud mining provider. They claim to be the largest Scrypt cloud mining provider.

I had recently purchased some hash power from them and did receive payouts from day one. Their prices start as low as $0.094 per kH/s which I think is very reasonable. They seems to be reliable and have a face which is very important. They have a great customer care support who answered all my queries and cleared all my apprehensions. You can read about them in this forum https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/genesis-miningcom-worlds-leading-hashpower-provider-602022, http://www.coindesk.com/mining-roundup-walmart-bfgminer-altcoins-cloud/ and google for more details. See www.genesis-mining.com and more here https://cloudmining.guru/wp/genesis-mining-com/ .

Again not to forget, this goes without saying, please invest only that amount of money which you can afford to loose.

When ordering hash rate at Genesis-Mining, there’s a field for promo code. Select the amount of hashrate you want to purchase (minimum currently is 1Mhs if you choose Custom!) and use the following promo code for a 3% discount: UMANO_17.Their referral system is beneficial to both referrer as referred person. The referred person gets a discount when buying hash rate, and the referrer gets bonus hash rate based on how much the referred person has bought. This promo code has been given to a limited amount of people. The more people use a certain code, the bigger the discount they may get.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.
Very concise and well written topic.
I was wondering if you are interested in setting up a Bitcoin Related Business in Pakistan.
I am looking for an investor, shareholder to help with the setup.
Maybe we can meetup for a chat as i am heading towards Pakistan for a few days to incorporate business.

please let me know if you are available for Skype chat.

@nawazish and @abdul samad

Bitcoin mining is no longer profitable unless you are willing to invest at least a million rupees. Mining is now done with specialist devices called ASICs. They are not available in Pakistan and you have to import them yourself. You can see the prices for various ASICs here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=137.0

Bitcoin uses SHA-256 so that's the type of ASIC you need.

People who do do mining in Pakistan mine alt-coins. Most alt-coins use the scrypt algorithm and now there are ASICs for that as well so GPUs are not competitive. For alt-coins that use other algorithms GPUs are competitive. But you have to invest a lot of time to a) find the specific alt coins that are profitable at this moment in time b) know when to dump them for bitcoins because they are highly speculative.

Disclaimer: I've never mined any sort of crypto currency. This is just what I've gathered from reading this forum. Please don't ask any follow up questions. Instead start reading on the mining sub-forum here.
