It is very strange to me that people actually want to defend these rules.  It is like they close off all their reasoning and want to follow them just because they want to.

And they think they have any moral ground to stand on, unbelievable!!!

External (to your body) entities (data processing algorithms) will provide answers to all questions humans might have.

In the future (and to some extend now) you rely on these invisible (yet very real) helpers to help you with your day to day activities.
Long time ago, you had to pray to God to have rain, or to find a suitable mate.

Algorithms today (and they will become more sophisticated as more data is collected and processed) will be able to predict rain or find you a suitable wife or husband, predict what is the best course of action regarding any human activities.  When to wage wars, when to have peace.  When to start presidential campaign, when to end it.  You can still refuse to follow these (essentially committing a sin and failing in your task), but over time people will trust more and more these technologies and follow what these external entities tell them to do.  What to eat, what to wear, who to associate with, who to trust, who you should avoid etc. Essentially, a set of rules that will help you with your life.  To keep you safe, out of danger, out of trouble.  You'll not question them because they will be more reliable than your own reason or intuition so overtime you'll accept them as something you better not go against.

We don't know exactly where AI and genetic enhancement technologies will lead us, but it certainly will not be a bronze age myth that we'll be following.  I envision multiple human species through genetic altercations and AI and nano-tech integration.  I know is sounds far fetched, but look at neurosciences, AI and nano research people are doing now.  It is beyond what we could have ever dreamed of 50 years ago.

 

Hmm... Is there any correlation to be expected between the number of fags killed and the amount of the reward?

A man can be altered (look all the unnormal people). A human who has ancestors that never suffered any disease and who live a decent life, won't spread errors.

I've read the Bible, so lemme break it down for you...

God commands you to kill all the witches, Muslims, and fags

If you are a good little Christian, and kill enough fags, God will reward you in heaven

God does not elaborate on these rewards however, he wants it to be a surprise (unlike the Muslims who know they will get 72 virgins because God said so)

Does that sum up Christianity?

It's the old "carrot and stick" trick... except the carrot is old, rotten and inedible... oops

God could be a game-show host...

So when you get to Heaven you get to roll some dice and what is, is? Seems like a "gamble"

Not God.  God is not real.

Like I said before, I think a new religion of "data processing" will be named sometime in not so distant future.

People already follow this religion but it has not been formally defined yet.

The bronze age religions will be studied by historians, psychologists, neuroscientists  but regular people will stop following these irrational myths.  For the same reason they abandoned other religions of the past.

All of this is part of evolution.

BTW, I think there are many other "religions": capitalism, money, socialism, liberalism, humanism all have similar function as theistic religions.

So you don't trust evolution theory. Because evolution theory explains that God didn't create directly humans but that humans comes from evolution of other species.

Religion provided rules for organizing large group of people.

We started to have a soul at the instant where God's created the human.

I don't tell people what to do.  I just point out that the bronze age religion has no place in today's world.
Its moral code is repugnant.  It provided no explanations on how the world actually works.  Actually, it is dangerous for people to think the world is structured as described in the Bible, the way societies should function as described in the Bible is a disaster waiting to happen with the military technology we have today.  We could easily wipe the whole human race (and most of the animal kingdom) if people with access to nuclear codes would follow the Bible.



The verses were the law of the land during bronze age up to until very recently.  I disagree with the moral code preached in the Bible.  I do not believe this book was inspired by God because I don't believe in non-physical, out of this world realities.

The book provides a bronze age view of the world.  There is nothing in that book that is worth a spit.
The whole idea of non physical God is an insult on our senses.

If you are searching for answers on how to live your life the "religion" of socialism, capitalism, liberalism or humanism are probably the most progressive out there.  But even these will, in not so distant future, be replaced by other "religions".  The pace of change will pick up, so expect these new religions to be discussed in some future crypto currency forums in our lifetimes.

Progress would have never been made if people clung to the bronze age myths.

So the God must be an Atheist.
