UPDATE:
There is apparently a limited 0.01BTC coin.
You need to be registered on their exchange to be entered in the contest.
Please check OP as well!!! Cheesy

I've been in contact with someone from Raimu Inc. They have made the Satori coins but they also make coins for other companies. Zaif is an exchange that asked them to make promotional coins for them. The Zaif coins are only available in Japan (they aren't for sale Sad). The Satori coins will cost around $5 each in Japan but they haven't decided the price outside Japan (it shouldn't differ a lot).

This gives me hope there will be other coins in the future.  I think its a fairly good assumption to make as well, bitcoins price will forever be changing and if it continues upward even .001BTC might become worth too much to carry around in a satori coin.  Hoping to see more coins of this style from them in the future.

So I've just received my Satori coins.
These coins are absolutely beautiful and everything I was expecting.
Though made of simple materials, the artwork is intricate and very detailed. Considering the manual assembly, the price is very fair.
These are absolutely perfect for spreading Bitcoin and I'll definitely be buying a lot more for myself and to give away!

What are the costs per coin? They are definitely great for spreading Bitcoin!

I want to play poker with these chips.  In fact I'd love a chip set completely made out of coins like this.   Very excited to get one and I hope they continue to produce them in larger denominations.  Unlikely though, It seems they are interested in mass producing low cost coins with small denominations.

I think he means Material and not Metal. I know that Poloherb isn't a native English or Dutch, but he tries. Grin

Both of you are right it is a bug, one on the website, and one in video. One is removed and new film to youtube i upload later.
Thanks for the comment.

Is it a plastic coating over metal?  I see that you have it described in the video as "Metal: Plastic" which is why I ask.

Well done 360 degree coin video I'd say.   Wink

As I have stated before, I have been in touch with the company Raimu, Inc. Design and the producer of Satori Coins. This week I received a package with a promo set from the team off satoricoin.jp. At first glance they look like wonderful casino chips, shining beautifully orange with intersecting white stripes. The coin is very light and the size is between a standard and high value casino chip.

"Go ahead and play around. Satori lowers the initial hurdle in obtaining Bitcoin, almost to rock bottom. Enlightenment should be attainable for everyone." -- Raimu, Inc.

With their great design and low price these coins are available to everyone. They are well suited for showing off to friends and family and make a perfect gift.

The first delivery outside of Japan will happen in June. If you have a store or other public place to install the vending machine, you can contact now via the website. The price of the coin will be 500 Yen in Japan, which is currently little more than 4 euros. Outside of Japan you will have to keep shipping and possible taxes in mind.

There is some sad news for people in the US as loaded Satori coins cannot be sold within the US because of regulations. Officially they will not be sent by the company and it's distributors. In the near future it will be possible to order the coins from me or someone else on forum.
