If I were in that position at that time, I would probably also expect the same, being in the first place. It means high enough at that time.
But, if I am a lover of innovation, I would always honor and thank Bitcoin although only in that 8th place. No one in those positions may know the future, the future of the dollars, the future of Bitcoin. If anybody knows exactly the future, they will probably prefer to be in the 5-8 positions. But, it is such a normal thing that what is worthy right now doesn't mean worthy at the past time. What is worthy at the past time doesn't mean as worthy as now.

Yeah, your point is definitely right. Some years ago, we didn't think that Bitcoin would be such valuable. Price of Bitcoin is a big amount but what if we think about future? May be some years later it can be gain 10x from current value.

Indeed, who would've thought that those 25 BTC as a consolation prize will turn into an almost $1 Million today. Hopefully, atleast one of those participants had successfully hold the said bitcoins for atleast 10 years and that their life was changed because of it.
I'm also guilty about this because bitcoin was introduced to me way back 2015 when bitcoins was valued $10k+, if I'm not mistaken. But sadly, it didn't got my attention because I just saw it as another form of scam and I was so busy on other things to like getting real money at that time. To make the story short, I began using bitcoin and this forum early 2018 and the rest was history, bitcoin also changed my life.

it may feel like a joke come true bro, bitcoin's past is like someone had a candy bar they gave to everyone for small pleasures no thoughts of regretting later. the diagram above is impressive when the buying price is from each year up sweet story of bitcoin. those who succeeded there were also those who were stupid / accidentally saved this btc. I don't regret I just found out about bitcoin at this time and know that it's touching the price of bitcoin this second whatever the reason we will end up in trading. Cheesy

No one really knows on what would be the future looks like and this is why we do really commit out mistakes that we couldnt really turn it back and everything would really be just part of your memory and experience that you have accumulated some coins in the past.

Yes, it is really giving out some stress and regret feeling but whats done is done and theres no turning back but its really good to see that we do have that kind of history
and if we do believe on that then we might able to be that millionaire as of this year on current value.

Bitcoin is the first crypto so if you have a better understanding with it, you will know that your holding very valuable piece and you wont just sold it immediately but selling it on the 2017 peak is also not bad judging how long they hold their btc and the starting price the btc have.

The story is nice and it makes me motivated right now to hold the prize that I won in a contest, I got the same vibes with the story because the prize also consist of consist of tokens and cash where I only got tokens because I am on the lowest level but I will surely hold the tokens because the project seems nice and the token has a utility.

But the fact is that when bitcoin went down this made some people panic, it was a natural thing because here what was at stake was money. But don't panic too much, because it won't do anything.
