Well, that didn't age well. Not that I blame though, 10 years ago who would've thought Bitcoin would be where it is right now no? Even if there were people who believed, I don't think they set the level this high even way back then. Still if they actually just forgot about it and still have it now, then well that's a life-changer right there. Highly unlikely though, I mean, who would keep their keys of a wallet they don't really care that much well taken care of no? At that point it's just up to luck on whether the person themselves did something to their house in years.

Hopefully, in 10 years, people who have Bitcoin right now could have the same experience as people from 10 years ago if they were to get their Bitcoin from back then today.

You are thinking that someone by chance didn’t sell their bitcoin and become a millionaire while I'm thinking how would anyone from the loser feel if they have either didn’t claim the prize or they claimed but lost access somehow   Cheesy Very much possible sir.

Saw this a while ago but as an isolated statement, I sure as hell agree with it. Bitcoin has made so many people financially secure who possibly wouldn't have been without bitcoin. I include myself in that, without bitcoin I wouldn’t have the life & opportunities that I’m lucky enough to have now. I think I speak on behalf of many of us when I say, thank you, bitcoin.

I don't know if something similar has already been posted on the forum, but still. I love these artifacts. This is the story of bitcoin, the story of how people felt about it at the time, 10 years ago.

snip

The case when the losers became winners. Yes, I understand that there is an extremely small chance that these people were able to make the correct profit from this consolation prize, and most likely they got rid of these coins almost immediately. Although, everything can be, and one of these guys still became a millionaire .... who once lost.

This picture shows well the era when bitcoin was not taken seriously. Few understood the potential of this asset at all. As a result, at current prices, the winner received 2 000 times less than the loser. Cheesy

Bitcoin is a digital property that is constantly growing in value. Take care of it, because in 10 years those few million satoshi that you once received somewhere, even on this forum, can turn into a very impressive amount.

That's a clever title for this post. Bitcoin indeed makes the loser a winner if we look at it from that perspective.
I have seen this picture earlier may be on this forum or some other and it had also mentioned that the person who received the bitcoins sold it to buy something for himself.
But I hope not everyone of them sold all of it and some would have saved at least some of it.
I can't imagine how many more scenarios similar to this would be posted on this forum 10 years from now. There might be hundreds of stories.

Maybe, there is a point, if you look at the last 10 years, I think out of 100 people who get satoshi/Bitcoin, at that time 1 or 2 people still kept their keys and passwords under the mattress, the rest could only contemplate not being able to do much.

Let's say I, being in those 10 years, maybe I should break into my house looking at the keys and passwords I have stored, given the current price of Bitcoin, One house I dismantled, two I could make again with the current Bitcoin price, but I really couldn't find the key, starting all over again, maybe I'll remember the worst thing I've ever done.

The bottom line: never think that something we do is worthless in the future, save it well, so as not to regret it.

I wish I could travel to the past so I could change my life forever.  Smiley

We never know what would happen to the future of bitcoin, but as a bitcoin enthusiast, I always believe that someday it will benefit us as long as we invested it now. You are right, the bitcoin that we make in the forum like signature campaign earnings could be a huge value in the future, so it's always good to consider saving some of our earnings.

I think I've seen this somewhere but not in the forum. It's true that someone who's not aware of the potential of bitcoin will just sell it eventually without doing any effort.
But these days, for sure that if there will be tournaments again that will be having a prize of bitcoin, there will be participants that will flock that tournament and that's for sure. Yet this time, it's no longer a digit or two for the prize but decimals.

Yeah, it was insane, I think I have posted some old twitter posts as well wherein those early bagholders selling their bitcoin at a cheap price.

So it's the same here, well you can't blame them though as they didn't know the value of bitcoin will grow and mature over the next 10 years. So the lesson here is to accumulate and save as much bitcoin as we can and just hold.

Lol. This is yet another example. We have seen it many times in the forum, when time has passed and we see the extraordinary revaluation of Bitcoin, we see these things and we laugh, but at the beginning when Bitcoin was worth pennies, and nobody knew about it, and if you heard anything it was related to fraud, or drugs or terrorists, well it was difficult to see how it was going to revalue.

In any case it is good to remember these things at this time because there are a lot of people pessimistic about the price.
