I wanted to measure the new blocktimes of NXT, and wrote a script, which I have now run on HZ:

HZ Genesis was 741.9 days ago.

~360M are on exchanges, 40M in the foundation, makes 600M which could vote.
This is the first time we use this method, and as it's about 10% of the foundations' funds
we didn't want to set the number too low. If it fails, and we didn't hear voices against the integration,
we can try again with a lower value. But it's looking good so far, 94M approved already.
You can check the status by logging in with the HZFoundation alias
(at the login screen, remove the NHZ-**** preset with backspace and type it there).

It has been around for a few years I think; and you can buy equity or shares of the exchange on the horizon blockchain under asset id #: 17828408937649813496


anyhow thought i would give you guys a heads up:

About:

HZxCHANGE is a distributed cryptocurrency exchange on the Horizon Platform.

Unlike traditional exchanges, where trading takes place on servers connected to the wallets used for storage, HZxCHANGE uses the Horizon blockchain instead. As well as being much more secure, it's also totally transparent and trades can be verified by anybody.

All transactions are signed in your browser, the passphrase is never sent to a remote server. Your funds are stored on a multisig address, making it impossible for a single admin to run away with a wallet. The signatures are held by well-known and trusted members of the HZ (or the coin's) community. There's no public facing server a hacker could target, and even if he finds one that's not enough to get access to any coin. The asset balances are snapshotted regularly, so if someone breaches the issuers account we'll just switch to another asset.

HZxchange still is a proof of concept. A lot of manual work is needed to add and maintain coins. There are plans to automate all those processes and end up with a real decentralized exchange, but it will take a lot of effort to reach that. New Service for HZ !

A while ago, testdruif asked for opinions on a new service he was building.

As it was exactly what I had been missing in HZ, I assisted him;
to develop it further, contributed ideas, and helped debugging it.

And - yiehah - I could convince him - to port it from Txt to HZ.
(For polling, he is using HZ-nodes from my peercrawler study)


Try the new: Email notification service

Easy to use: You input your NHZ-... address, and your email address,
and you choose which type of transactions you want to get notified about.

Here is an example, for my giveback address:



--> Notice PMs before they are already pruned again.
--> Immediately know when your account got hacked  Wink
--> Add your ideas. Many good purposes for this.
--> Anyways ... isn't it great? Happy. Best new service in a while.

And then I tried everything ... but I could not lure him over here :-) but
if you want to interact with testdruif, you can do so in his forum thread

Your hope is not in vain Emerger - I have carefully considered the phasing and have added my voice to this important matter and I can tell you that this (voting/approving) is exactly (to a certain degree) what is necessary for the success of the HZ exchange so it was a tremendous privilege for me to be part of the truly pioneering phasing tx. Now I too hope with you it comes to fruition.
