How does your asset work? As for the silver concept, the description seems to be somewhat vague, are we talking about game credits or something?
As for the HZ price, well. Look at those hefty volumes in Poloniex. I think being listed there is na advantage for this coin, as a lot of money has been flowing through that exchange for some time now (it has experienced a massive surge, i must say).
Also HZ is being contantly updated, which is an up for me. I haven't logged in for months and now i see i have to download another wallet which is kept pair to pair with the latest NXT developments.

I meant to keep the description vague in hope that i'd be able to attract more people to the HZ slack channel Cheesy . There's just too few of us there unfortunately Sad

So here goes the description:

There is a history and a concept behind SILVER that i think will attract some of you.

Formerly known as MAFIA, SILVER is the newer version of my old asset. I emigrated from NXT because I don't really see eye to eye with what is about to happen with the new update, as well as losing faith in the community because of all the scam assets that roam it.  (sorry NXTers who are reading this...it's just how i feel)

SILVER is a bond-type asset that pays out a daily dividend, of a guaranteed minimum 0.0001 HZ per share. Keep in mind that a share's price is 0.1 HZ, so that's 0.1% per day guaranteed return. Some days it can bring more, but it will never be less. I told myself that the day we pay out less, will be the last day of SILVER and it's time to liquidate the fund. I hope never to get there Cheesy
We just recently re-branded, but if you would like to see our past performance from our old asset, look into acc NHZ-NP96-X2RG-SSR4-G633U , the former MAFIA issuer account, and you can check out the dividends history. Keep in mind MAFIA was paying out on an irregular basis, but the monthly average was 3 - 3,5% . With SILVER we decided to go daily instead.

Our earnings come from options trading on the FOREX markets, and for the ones with experience to such things, we trade 1 and 5 minute candles. I don't use increments for recovery such as Martingale and other casino-type betting systems. I don't bet. I trade, and never risk more than 0.1% of the account value on a single trade.
The asset capital is already well over 25 million HZ and growing each day.

If you want to keep up with the payouts, you can check the following link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hiNWmUE7oOcymSfnaSvInyU_09ebmzbXaQt-fifunkk/edit?usp=sharing
In case you have any other questions regarding the asset, feel free to ask, or PM me.

And now for the twist in my asset. It can also be earned by playing a game. The game is NXTMAFIA.COM . It's an old school text based mafia game, and i'm sure most of you have played one of these games at one point in your lives.
What happens in nxtmafia is, you play, you earn cash, and you get to exchange that cash with one of our admins for SILVER shares. So what i'm trying to say is, that we managed to integrate a new style of real cash economy gaming into the world, one where you don't get paid in a specific coin, but rather an asset. It's an attempt to teach people about basic investing and compounding principles, as well as familiarize non-crypto users with Horizon and other coins.

We have a few basic tutorials on the website/game called ''crypto for dummies'' , and so far we managed to bring in a handful of people into the HZ ecosystem. We hope that in time, as the game develops, and more players will come to the game, more will learn about HZ and its asset exchange.

My goal is that at one point, SILVER will become a gaming asset that will be used by players of other games as well (not only nxtmafia), and that it becomes a gaming token that pays a dividend for the holder. Of course, for those that have no interest in gaming, it stays a simple bond-type asset that brings in decent earnings on a daily basis. Either way you chose to go, or if you want to combine the two, SILVER is a pure money earner and we hope a unique concept.

So there you have it. This is my baby, and i'm watching it grow each day, and I'd like all of you to be a part of that.

About security:

Personally, I simply keep my accounts separate.
Inspired by that sad tragedy last year, by the way, I stick to my multi-tier architecture.
Because I want to be able to trust, so I need to be able to trust my own precautions.

Low amounts / would not matter much:
Using any wallet, incl. webwallet (site could have been hacked).

Mid-amounts, and need to access often:
I am using my own local HZ wallet, on my browsing machine (could have a trojan).
Uptodate firewall, antivirus, Java, kept as clean as possible - but there will never be 100% security.

Larger amounts, access seldom:
Booting Linux from a current LiveCD (read-only = no easy way to get hacked);
Blockchain & HZ & Java unzipped from a USB-stick, incl. checking sha256sums.
Usable within a few minutes, once I got that shellscript ready.

If I will ever own really large amounts, I would definitely learn to sign transactions
on an offline machine
(cold storage), so that the privatekeys / passphrases never
enter a computer which is / has ever been / will ever be ... connected to the internet.

Be you own bank = Be your own security department.

That's exactly what i'm doing now Cheesy , plus linux as a platform, firewalls on both PC and router (just for the sake of paranoia) and a bunch of other stuff.

SILVER's back-up account is actually a network of accounts for extra security and protection. Those accounts i only access once when i create them, and will access once more in case liquidation of the asset is needed.

Oh, and for extra extra security i clear my browser cache every day... just to be sure

Aaand i take snapshots of the SILVER holder accounts every day before i pay the dividends, in case the account is hacked, so i know for sure who owns legit shares and i can buy them back from those holders.

I'd like to think i learned a lot from my past misfortunes.

how secure is the web wallet? - http://nexthorizon.github.io/hz-source/

i think its the most secure as you can get with webwallets because the source is loaded from github

You think github can't be hacked?

Of course github can be hacked. F**in icloud, pentagon and NASA got hacked...

Do you think your bank account is safer? Or your personal data stored by various SSL websites?

That's why we have these long passphrases in HZ, to provide extra security, but the final vulnerability is our own personal computer. That's how i lost everything i ever owned last year. A bored hacker and a vulnerable PC. I've learned from that lesson, upped my security and moved on.

We can't live in constant fear of being hacked. We can take measures to prevent it, but that's about it. If we let ourselves and our decisions be driven by that fear, we might as well give up and be shepherds on top of a mountain.

And @freigeist , this is not me taking a shot at what you say, it's me pointing out that no matter what we do, we can't fully hide. But unless we're billionaires targeted by hackers, or really unlucky like i was, we should be good in the long run Smiley . I trust the web wallet more than my bank having my information. But that's just me...

Hello everyone,

I've been reluctant to make this post, but in the end i said screw it, might as well. I'd like to take the chance and market an asset i created.

I own an asset called SILVER, and it acts like a bond-type trading asset with a minimum guaranteed daily payout. SILVER has been functional for nearly 2 months now, and all payouts are well documented. Unfortunately because my account is new, i can't post a link, but if any of my investors are watching, can you please do it for me?

I'm announcing it because SILVER is ready to transition into phase 2 of its concept and have the POF (proof of funds) wallet. This will be a separate HZ wallet where every now and then i throw in any excess of funds i have left from trading, as well as AdSactly shares that i will buy. This account will consist for now just from these 2 forms of back up. AdSactly shares will be part of it because he has a diversified portfolio of coins and provides great stability. The POF wallet will be used to provide backup in case/when the fund will be liquidated, as well as protection from any form of financial destabilization of the fund.

In case anyone is interested, look up asset ID :  18188286224329834617 on the asset exchange.

Also, remember to join us on slack. There's a lot going on there that never makes it to btctalk and a lot of people are missing out on valuable information.

And feel free to PM me here or on slack (nameless) if you have any other questions regarding SILVER.

This is the SILVER asset

 hello

did they stop the 10 % interest for holdings ?
I have not received no interest payout in 3 days . or do I  need goto a  Forging Pool now

what is a good Forging Pool w/ low payout ?

   just asking

Hi

no more 10% but forge pools help secure network. Choose . I've leased to NHZnode and it works quite well.

Lol I've learned my lesson not to encourage anyone to a specific forge pool cause NHZnode pool ended up with way over half forging power which is not so good. The situation has stabilized now   Smiley

looks like some investors want to join HZ, it is great for all HZ holders.  I think HZ team need more new talents.

well, we will probably never know. Is everybody sure that it can only be a good thing or is there the possibility that some people try to trick users and influence the price to finally take their profit like vampires and leave the HZ users sucked empty and finally destroyed? Sorry, but obviously I don't have much trust in the cryptocoin-world. Probably I feel the same towards cryptocoins as many cryptocoin users feel towards "normal" money and banks... Is this "FUD"? Yes, I learned FUD from cryptocoins, I call it realism...
you are right. maybe need a vote to know the truth.

We're hoping for fresh talents in slack since years, if you know someone send them to https://slack.horizonplatform.io/  Wink

There's not many rights that could be transferred. Of course there wouldn't be a cost for it, as long as we can be convinced that it won't be shut down anytime soon after.
Website, explorer, web wallet can easily be moved if someone would want to take over responsibility for it. The main repository will still be managed by our lead dev mawo, but any contribution is welcome. We even have some code for smart contracts that could be implemented right away.
The foundation funds are not to be given away, but used according to what has been promised - reoccuring cost (hosting, domains...) is covered by default, everything else requires community approval.
must make some clearance.

i had a contract with NFD about implement AT before NFD merged with HZ ,and have finished AT implement to NFD a years ago. https://bitbucket.org/btc2nxt/nfd-at

i didn't got any HZ coin from HZ foundation, and never got any request about helping implement AT to Hz.

looks like some investors want to join HZ, it is great for all HZ holders.  I think HZ team need more new talents.

why the news on Twitter is not?  Huh

Right, I've offered assistance but no reply at all from whoever manages the account. Perhaps it needs a new account then? That would not be the best because all Horizoners are already following the old.
