Yep, but the odd of a broken software/connection/something else are much higher.
I think you get my point...
If your point is that you (and I) have no idea of what the odds are of 'a broken software/connection/something else', then, yes, I get your point.  Wink

Graet's pool continues to be one of the, if not the, most robust, stable, and reliable bitcoin mining pools in operation. If there ever was/is an issue, it has always been acknowledged and dealt with quickly and efficiently by the Ozcoin team. If I had reason to believe otherwise, I wouldn't be here.

Crazy!
The same odds as both happening on the current block, of course. Or the next. Or the ... I think you get my point. There is nothing mysterious about this. It is a rare coincidence, but it happens. And it can be expected to happen again. Have you seen the recent transit of Venus?

I know, what's odd is that the round duration was 11 millions share + the block gets ophaned.
What were the odds for both happening on the same block?...

Don't you think something went wrong with the pooling software?
Maybe a bug or disconnection or something?
um no, orphaned blocks are a fact of life Bitcoin mining and while 11million share rounds are painful they are not unusual across the network Smiley

I didn't see anyone asking if things were broken when we had some extreme good luck recently, well all that good luck just got evened out a bit Smiley

https://ozcoin.net/content/ozcoin-widget

I spoke with gotmilk earlier, he developed the widget for us Smiley
Due to time constraints he is finding it hard to devote the time he would like to the widget.

He has offered a possible solution and would be able to help the new person get up to speed Smiley
To find a realbasic developer from within our community to take over development and keep widget Ozcoin specific
anyone up for it?

check out

yer its going a bit long Wink

8M is right up there for blocks on DGM, we did have a 13M block on prop back in the day (I know diff at the time etc Smiley )

This round (0d 10h 58m) we have 8722245 shares (73048 stales; 0.837%), avg 1025.79 GH/s | 548.20% of diff | 219 users

I do hope it ends soon though Cheesy

Is there a list somewhere of the largest bitcoin blocks (most shares) recorded? I know there have been at least a few over 10,000,000...

just thought i'd ask since we just broke 8 million...
Comparing the number of shares has little meaning since if you say 10Mil now and 9Mil with difficulty 1.4M, in that case the 9Mil represents worse "luck".

What you need to compare is shares/difficulty.

The highest I've seen was on deepbit a while back of 8.25 (825%)
Right now 825% is 13Mil shares ...
