Some amazing results tonight with Xiangfu's Icarus mining farm running on a single cgminer instance.

It's 1 cgminer with 91 Icarus hashing away at ~33.75GH/s BUT still only using 3% of the CPU in a 32 bit ubuntu linux!

Here's the main API output reformatted to fit here:
Code:
Date: 07:11:39 29-Apr-2012 UTC-07:00
Computer: cgminer 2.3.6
Elapsed  MHS av    Found Blocks  Getworks  Accepted  Rejected  Hardware Errors       Utility

Discarded  Stale   Get Failures  Local Work  Remote Failures  Network Blocks  Total MH
  2740       0       1             18262       0                3               38665911.5942

Date: 07:11:39 29-Apr-2012 UTC-07:00

very impressed with this, and proud to say it was achieved on Ozcoin with cgminer Cheesy
good work Cheesy

yeah, had a very sucky run of luck - hoping it picks up Smiley

AU ppl The Project (ch10 news show) had a SR article today, I'm asking AU ppl to tweet theprojecttv and tell them to do a proper BTC story - BTC is way bigger than SR Wink

Think for yourself
Luck has actually been fine...just this latest 6million+ round that sucks.

Check that url.  The red line is mostly above the difficulty, which, I think, is bad.
Sam

Variance can be a bitch, right. But overall the pool performs better than average:

ø Shares/Difficulty Ratio:   93.52% (since block 1 found)

Enough said!

Overall that is good.  But today still sucks Smiley.

Huh then what gives? why am i getting half of what i should get?

Uh, because luck sucks at the moment?  Not much one can do with 6+ million rounds, but grin and bear it.

If you don't care for NMC yourself, you could always set your NMC donation at 100% for the pool. I'm sure Graet would appreciate it.

I don't see anyway to independently set BTC NMC donation levels.

But that would be a great/graet feature suggestion.
Sam
You are right ... and I agree it would be a great/graet feature!  Wink
It has been suggested before, and will be implemented Smiley

I'm going to be getting some BFL (FPGA) miners soon and am worried about the frequency of LONGPOLL on merged mining. If I mine on the bitcoin only address (http://us.ozco.in:8331 Bitcoin Only) will I get a reduced number of LONGPOLLS? Once every 10 minutes on average?
Yes, and you can also do merged mining with just the bitcoin longpolls as well on a per-worker basis at ozcoin.
If you use cgminer you can use the --submit-stales switch on the merged mining ports as well. You still get more longpolls due to the faster NMC block find rate, but since you are submitting your 'stales' (which are not really stale, and will be accepted by the pool), it should not affect your net hashrate significantly.

If you don't care for NMC yourself, you could always set your NMC donation at 100% for the pool. I'm sure Graet would appreciate it.

hi,

just reporting my exp with ozcoin and Icarus on win7:

default miner.py = no work
icarus+cgminer = BSOD(bad pool header)

not sure
I know we have one guy with ~15ghash of icarus mining fine, tho he runs linux
I'll see if any of the cgminer guys have ideas

I switched to mpbm miner and it's fine now!

Good news Cheesy

Some members have reported that their valid namecoin addresses are being reported as invalid.
This is a result of the namecoin wallet being empty.
My bad, forgotten to top it up since Friday, I have topped it up now and all nmc payments should resume as normal.
Appologies

Sorry guys, had some server issues yesterday (my time)
I also had surgery in the morn (so wasn't on top form) - it's always a timing thing Sad

Overnight we got everything back to normal.
Over the next days we are setting up 2 new servers as "failover" if case any of these stupid issues crop up again we will be able to switch miners seamlessly and automatically to our backup server in cases of main server failure. 1 in US and 1 in EU. Tis will also give us an option to load balance in times of high demand.
Still on the lookout for an affordable AU server solution for a mining node, considering an asia node as well Smiley

Thankfully https://www.ozcoin.net/content/luck-bitcoin is looking healthier too Cheesy
best
Graeme

Thanks for the fix !
