Yes, I know, but I swear I never saw such a long streak of 1/1 and 2/1 shares displayed in cgminer as I did during the 15 minutes I let it run under POT...  Smiley

It's interesting, but seems to make my hardware immediately start generating almost nothing but Diff-1 shares, until I switch back to DGM (then the 14.5K shares start hitting again)...   Cry
Haha it can seem like that, but it really is completely random.

Could someone tell me what the POT payout method is that's mentioned on the site?

Pay On Target

It pays on the difficulty target you your share.  The higher the difficulty of that particularly share the higher amount you get paid.

And some details: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pay-on-target-new-high-variance-payout-system-offered-by-ozcoin-131376

I'm seeing much poorer performance using eustratum than I should be. I'm in Europe, and my ping to eustratum is 20ms compared to my ping to 'normal' stratum which is over 100ms. However, mining on eustratum I'm seeing more than 10% rejects, whereas on stratum I'm seeing way below 0.5%. I can't understand why. Is there something up with eustratum?
Nothing I'm aware of, I bounced stratum on eustratum - see if that helps Smiley

Agreed.  Miners disagree ... we want that 5%.
It's about 2.6% at the moment using BTC-E's rate. 3.2% if you include the other tradeable merge mineable coins.
That's a big drop, in a not very large amount of time ...

Yeah, that will explain everything. This pool could be 10x times bigger. But, NMC, why bother... no?

Good luck guys.

NMC is a waste of time and effort.

It's an abandoned project that has failed and was never meant to be a currency.

It caused problems for EVERY pool that has ever implemented Merged Mining.

And it is worthless.

But hey, besides that it's just great.

Sam

BTC Guild (the largest and most advanced pool in the world) added merged mining for NMC just a couple of weeks ago.  There was much rejoicing.  So much for "abandoned."

The DotBit project has resumed development?

NMC has the third highest cryptocoin market cap behind LTC, a position it has held for many months.  So much for "worthless" and "failed."

The last time I looked it was over 250 NMC to get one BTC.  So if NMC is the 3rd most valuable alt coin then the others must be really worthless and a waste of time.

But keep repeating your baseless, demonstrably false assertions ad nauseum.  You might get lucky someday and find them to be true!   Wink

Until then, we'll be amused by your embarrassing confusion between actual reality and wishful thinking.    Smiley

My "baseless, demonstrably false assertions" are mostly opinions I hold and may not be completely accurate in their entirety, as I am not proponent of ANY alt coin.  But you have failed to demonstrably prove that the DotBit distributed DNS system is still being developed.  And nobody has made an argument that Merged Mining was good for the DotBit project, I think Merged Mining destroyed what may have been a worthwhile project, but again that is opinion on my part.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.

@os2sam

NMC is a waste of time and effort = ~5% extra is a waste of time and effort

Huh

I'm not referring to your time and effort.

If it's really 5% how long will that last now that close to 40Ths has been thrown at it recently?

When merged mining was first started that spelled doom for the project, which may have been a worthwhile project in it's own right.

Enjoy the spoils while it lasts,
Sam
