The pool appears to be down for me on two machines since this morning (possibly earlier). Any word on this? cgminer kicked me to a backup pool in the meantime.

my single vidcard, via guiminer, is connected. but BFG miner (USB asics) is reporting the pool is down.

When u was trying earlier today, only the Australian server was working. Both the EU server and the USA server seemed to be down. I believe the url to the working one was au.ozco.in but check the worker page to be sure.

^^^ thanks. But it wasn't necessary in the end - I opened up my wallet this morning and they were all confirmed and all there. Strange. Oh well, if someone fixed it, then thanks!

Can anyone tell me why only 2 of the payouts from Ozcoin are 'verified' and the BTC are actually in my wallet, yet 6 of the transactions (one up to a month old) are unconfirmed, and as such I don't have access to them?

Just looked at those transactions to your address on blockchain.info
https://blockchain.info/address/181MstHu1kBECe1yRUsM4Xp6qU12xiw2yT

They all have many confirmations. I would suspect that your wallet is not connecting or downloading the blockchain properly. You might also try running it with the rescan command to see if it finds them.

It is definitely something on your end with your wallet though.

Unconfirmed Credit has been stacking up for a day or two now.
The confirmations don't seem to updating on the ozcoin site.

Is there an explanation or is something amiss?

Many thanks.

Looks about right to me.  Block from over 24 hours ago has 100 confirmations.  It takes 120 blocks to confirm the previous block to be sure it is safe to release the funds.

You can always become a VIP member and not have to wait for those confirmations.
Sam

The website is not updating the blocks correctly, you can see the discrepancy if you click the link to the block itself on blockchain.info. It appears that the corresponding payouts are being delayed as well.

Update: Got my payout

Roger that. Much obliged. I guess I got used to the more frequent payout with Pay On Target.

Me? A VIP? I don't know if I have the right wardrobe for that kind of status, but I will consider it.

Thanks again. I am digging this mining pool. (nyuck nyuck nyuck).

Power to the people!
PPS should not be used by any pool.
A person with 100GH/s can mine on the pool and withhold the blocks but still get paid almost all their expected earnings.
Currently (diff = 11,187,257.46136079) 100GH/s has an expected average of ~5.5days per block.
So they would lose only one share every ~5.5 days but the pool would lose 25BTC due to that - or ~4.5BTC a day - or currently > $450 a day.
i.e. anyone who dislikes the pool can mine PPS on it and help it to lose money by withholding blocks.
The bigger the miner's hash rate, the worse the affect on the pool and the less the affect on the miner.
I am mining PPS on 50BTC.com and eclipsemc.com they don't seem to have any problems with offering PPS if you want it. I would prefer to mine on ozcoin but I am small hash, so I want lower payout threshold and PPS as ozcoin often take a long time to find a block.

*YET* even btcguild is going to remove pps at some stage few months probly and rasied the fees on pps switched all getwork users to ppln.

Hi,
For those interested I've created a simple pool monitoring Android app to keep tabs on mining activities using the pool API. It's a free ad-supported app.  It supports adding multiple (supported) sites. It is currently limited to most of the cryptocoins sites with the generic simple API like the BigVern pools, including: LiteBonk.com, Mincoinpool.com, CHNPool.com, FCPool.com, WeMineLTC.com and I have recently added support for the Ozcoin API.

Download Coin Pool Monitor from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomfusion.coinpoolmonitor

Cheers

So over the weekend, I got a lot of worker idle notifications and based on what the others said, they had the issue as well.

So I had an idea for a useful feature which is to notify when work resumes for a miner. That way if I am out of the house, I know if it was just a connection problem that resolved itself, or if my miner is actually shut off.  Obviously, this should be a configurable option.

Thanks

Watch out for the "Neg-Rep-Dogie-Police".....
[ .. ] yes power is VERY expensive here in Aus, and as we as a household use so much power all of my hashing power is essentially at top tier = 38c per kw/h. Looks like GPU mining is over.

OTOH if you buy an ASIC, it'll pay your electricity bills - for a while at least.

If you don't mind waiting up to a year for it....... Cheesy Cheesy

Never said it would pay for itself, just the power bills Grin

Indeed. Mind you, the way energy prices are increasing they might not even do that in a years time...... Wink
