My silver bitcoins have arrived.  They're as advertized, and quite gorgeous.  I'll look forward to stuffing some stockings with them this Christmas. Wink

Im still working through minting costs , it's likely I'll be partnering with a distributor in the US to be able to get these closer to spot than I'm able to due to the 20% vat , which I'm sure most people would rather not pay outside the uk . Plans are underway as we speak. Hopefully if everything goes according to plan these will be available , the premiums will be more than that of an eagle , maple etc etc. In all likelihood .

this space intentionally left blank
I would totally hit 1oz bitcoins if they were no more than, say 3€ over spot.

You can see below how your $11 silver has performed in the past. I would suggest that anyone interested in investing in silver beyond having a couple of 1 gram silver bitcoins , should research the fundamentals , many believe there's still time to get your seat reserved on the silver express before it takes off . Silvers a finite resource huge quantities are ending up in land fill , investor and industrial demand is rising , silver is in everything from cell phones to bandages to solar panels.a good starting point maybe this video

I've replaced the image at the top of the thread which shows the scale of these 1 grams , I hadnt realised I had removed it when i posted the type 2 pics .

I'm not totally sure of the size of a quarter , about $11 if it were .999 silver ?
yeah that would too expensive for my taste for one coin, none the less I'm satisfied with these!

Could anyone especially in the US post how long the type 1 rounds took to arrive from when they ordered them , they were all posted the day after the were ordered , I would be interested to know ,also it would be useful for those waiting for the type two's  Grin cheers

Mine were shipped on Wednesday July 27th, 2011 to the U.S. (West Coast) via Royal Mail.
Arrived on Wednesday August 3rd, 2011 -- So 5 business days.  Royal Mail claims 5-7 business days 'on average' to the U.S. so I was a bit on the 'earlier' side.

I think I was 'lucky' though...

Cheers,
Kermee
