You'll get too many different answers on this. It depends on your goal. Are you planning to hold for long term or looking to trade? If first then just do some research and find one that you like. If you're looking to trade then try small exchange with your $100 and see if you can make some profit. I mean with $100 it's probably a good idea if you just buy and hold. stress free.
100$ is a really small money, buy some btc and forget about it on 10 years. 
Pick one project and all in. Your capital is way too low to diversify, in my opinion you may diversify later when succeeded on your one pick. On the other hand, when I was starting out I didn't bother asking people where should I put my money in, I did my best to research as I know.that non of these people can help.
I have been doing some research for the last year. From my research it seems like ripple is a good choice. But I want to know if I am missing something else.Well, that's on you. As long as you're aware of the technical merits that you like. You do know that ripple is centralized and majority of the coin is owned by the company right? and although that they have some running partnerships with banks, these banks are not required to use xrp. just saying.
OAX is good option for investment below 100$. They have good team member, price is low, worth to invest here.

and even the good ones can often be bought cheaper after the ICO on etherdelta.
Do a research about good ICOs during this period of time and you can use your 100$ there. But be careful because not all ICOs are good.

Not the amount is irrelevent. You should go through these coins now. Research it. Dont put 100 usd to one coin. You have to divide at least 3 coins.then risk can be mitigate.

It's a small amount. If I were you, I wouldn't go under this stressfull job, trading. It's better to stay and follow the market as a hobby!
If you really want to make an investment, you can pick some coins such as ETC, Ripple and waves. Then you expect them to go up in a short time.
i think you can invest in good ICO or you should invest in coins with marketcap <1m as they only will make you some profit.
I'd recommend investing 40 in ETH and 40 LTC (and when Bitcoin goes down further the rest in that but it's currently declining so keep an eye out!). These three are featured on Coinbase which is the most user friendly for new investors. It's good to have a diverse portfolio and ETH and LTC are strong coins with still relatively low prices.

To be honest $100 is not an big capital to invest but you can invest in altcoins that have low price but has potential to grow in future and I would suggest you to invest in Digibyte and Waves as its price is very low now and both of them can rise much higher in future so if you invest in it now and hold it for next couple of months then you will be definitely making good profits out of it.
It may not be a big capital but for someone that just wants to get some taste of cryptocurrency investment and still in the learning process. This amount isn't bad at all, my suggestion is just buy bitcoin while it is on the dip and wait for few days as it will pump again.

My suggestion is find 10 cheapest ICO and buy them, maybe you will get lucky with one of them.
You can invest to any altcoin with lower price at this times! Or buy big coin when price go up and sell it when price x2, xx4 or down
