if I have 10k euros, I will choose to hold 50% to ethereum, and 50% to BNB. it might be better. seeing the progress of the BNB so well until now, I think in the future BNB will make a big improvement. in fact, a few moments ago, many compared BNB with ETH. so, if I was told to choose 2 coins, then I would choose ETH and BNB.

I find it funny how people recommend others to buy DOGE. I have nothing against that coin, and to some degree I even like it and the community behind it, but from an investment point of view, it's a horrible coin to invest in.

Look at the all time chart provided by Bittrex. All DOGE has ever done is jump up and down within the same satoshi range, and that since the very beginning. It's impossible to consider DOGE a coin worthy of investing in. It makes zero sense.
Believe it or not most people do not really take the time to do such a simple exercise, dogecoin could be a good coin to trade if you have the right skills but it is definitely not a coin to hold as an investment because as you say it has been moving within a range for a very long time and since the OP is looking for recommendations about in which coins to invest then dogecoin is definitely not a good choice, but if I were him and I had that amount of money then I will probably choose ethereum as the best and safest investment in the altcoin market.

if i had 10.000 Euro, in which 2 altcoins would you invest longterm (for the next 2-3 years)?
I thought about investing 5.000 Euro in Ethereum and 5.000 Euro in Iota, or do you find two other coins more reasonable?
As everyone mentioned, i will not suggest investing in any of these alt coins as i do not trust their development nor can there be a guarantee that we will see an huge rally in either of these coins but you can trust bitcoin if you were able to invest at the right time when the market are low and with the halving coming up you can earn your profits if you sell when the market rallies but you cannot say those when it comes to alt coin. So be a wise investor and not get stuck with your coins investing in alts.

Its better to conduct your own research on what is the best coins for long term, because we have different reasons on why we are investing in a particular coin so dont rely in our suggestions.

If I were to invest such amount in 2 altcoins then I will choose eth and ltc, these coins are well-established and good for long term holding.

However I wont forget to invest a big portion to bitcoin, its wise to have btc in your portfolio especially if you're planning to hold your coins for few years.

I would all in for ethereum if i had those money and planning to invest for more than 2 years. Their plan for future cryptocurrency is really nice and the coin is growing every year, although the price is not so good right now but the product is developing, even they will have a revolution 2.0 next year. So i think it's really recommended to buy for a long run

You should create some plans before investing such a large amount of money. Don't worry too much about being late to invest in any cryptocurrency. You will not be late if you carefully prepare everything instead of becoming a loser. Besides, I see you are looking for a long-term investment, so you must have more knowledge about what you want to buy for your investment.

A few hasty people can achieve success, but most hurried people fail. Let's thoughtful preparation and have a clear plan. It will never waste your time!

I will also choose bitcoin because with his history is the coin which always give profit and recovered even if price was down, well anyway it might take maybe more than 3 years to reach 100,000$ but even so will get a lot of profit at that time.

Hey. I would invest only in BTC. I no longer trust a single altcoin. All altcoins that I sold in minus. But the good news is that there was no sale at the very bottom.
You don't have to put your money in a single investment, you have to minimize your risk of losing your investment. That's why it's better to invest in more altcoins rather than invest in a single coin which is bitcoin. I didn't say bitcoin is a bad idea to put your money. Instead invest it with bitcoin and more altcoins that has the potential to grow.

Altcoins also have the potential to tank to being worth absolutely nothing. Unless you stick to something in the top 10 on coinmarketcap, this is a risky way of doing things. You're better off just sticking with Bitcoin if you're gambling on some unknown coin to be worth a ton in the future. Most of the time it won't be worth anything and you would have been better off just holding Bitcoin.
That's why it is important to do your research before investing into something which you are not familiar with. Although top 10 coins will be considered as safe but no matter how good the coins that you had invested if you don't understand it—it's still useless because you don't know how to make a profit from it.

ETH is considerable but i do somewhat oppose with IOTA but rather go with LTC instead.Future is not certain though but we can have some perception or views
that these coins would really have that factor that can go on in the future. 2-3 years time isnt really that far ahead and that 10k euro of yours will have that high
chance on earning some profits into that time but dont expect too much yet we wont be sure if they would either rose up its price or still on sideways.
Always expect the unexpected i shall say.

why it should in altcoin? if there is a trusted coin so far which is Bitcoin?
In my opinion, you should give more percentage in Bitcoin to your portofolio. Bitcoin is the best one here

I dont expect that altcoin can do better because of this bearish market, unless you do it for short term is okay

my advice is better bitcoin and ethereum. Enough with these two coins, you can get profit. forget to look for other coins that are more profitable, because coins like that never existed. this year is the year for bitcoin and ethereum, so believe what I say because you won't regret it later

ETH and DOGE Smiley seriously.. the other one is pretty flat with price for the past weeks, it created such a huge support on these levels that it will be almost impossible to lose much. It has meme value, a lot of fomo mooning potential and decent volume/cap.
I find it funny how people recommend others to buy DOGE. I have nothing against that coin, and to some degree I even like it and the community behind it, but from an investment point of view, it's a horrible coin to invest in.

I know, right? I mean, the amount of money OP's willing to invest is a lot. And suggesting others to invest their money on DOGE is not a really good advice, to be honest.
Doge is one of the cheapest coin out there, if the price fall down even just a satoshi or more, you could lose more than what you've imagined.

If we're talking for weekly trading, doge could be quite a bit of a good choice, but you have to be very patient as to wait the increase and you need quite the capital so you could see the profit and there are far better choices than doge out there. But whichever it is, it's still your call, your individual choice. You have to choose what's the best for you, and not because someone told you so.

And we're talking for hodling about 2-3 years. No one knows for sure the future of any altcoins. I personally don't dare to recommend which specific alts to invest.
So, maybe stablecoins or major altcoins might be a better choice. Still, it's all yours to make.

There is no portfolio in cryptocurrency that has no bitcoin. I assume its 10k Euros not Ten Euros (as OP wrote 10.000). If you have 10k euros you must understand which coins are best for investment rather then coming here and asking people to suggest you. Are you sure they will share your loss?

In the state of the market, it is really hard to make a rational decision. Most people will tell you Bitcoin because they think is the only one that will succeed in the long run.

I believe eventually the market will regulate himself and many coins will be independent of the dominance of BTC. The new trends of stablecoins and DeFi will make this space interesting in 2020.

You are not telling us what are your goals, which is really important in order to try to tell which coin could be better for you, for example since the capital that you have is already high enough then I do not see the point of taking huge risks with it, so if I were you I will probably invest everything in ethereum and the binance coin, but if what you're looking for is to obtain huge profits during that time then it becomes harder to give you a suggestion because most new altcoins will probably disappear at that point.

If I have 10k euros to invest in the top 10 coin marketcap, then I will choose to invest in Ethereum and BNB Coin. Both of these coins have great liquidity and in my opinion BNB Coin has great potential in the future. With the support of the biggest exchangers at the moment, I think BNB Coin will be able to penetrate the top 5 coinmarketcap

Centralized coins are always a bad idea. BNB depends on a number of things instead of the global crypto markets. It depends on CZ and if he gets arrested or made to flee from a country (like China) expect the price of BNB to tank regardless of what real world use it might have. It also depends on Binance and its growth. If Binance gets banned so will the BNB.

Invest only in independent decentralized projects.
