Many new investors ask this question and the most appropriate answer might be to do a little research into how to put together a balanced portfolio where you'd likely put at least half of it in Bitcoin and some of it in Ethereum and optionally add some other manageable yet slightly riskier options

If I have that much money, then I will invest for Altcoin Ethereum and BCH. I think it's potential to fore much less with long-term for 2-3 years.

Hello,

if i had 10.000 Euro, in which 2 altcoins would you invest longterm (for the next 2-3 years)?

I thought about investing 5.000 Euro in Ethereum and 5.000 Euro in Iota, or do you find two other coins more reasonable?

Bitcoin would have been the best choice but since you said altcoin in your post then its better to buy coins like TRON, HOT, PUNDIX, ETH, or just focus on top 10 altcoins in the market right now

One Altcoin to consider is definitely Amoveo. Their tech stack is scalable PoW, which is as secure as other PoW, but also as fast as other PoS. And for utility side, their solution allows setting up own decentralized markets which handle voting and bets

Probably ETH but that's only if you're already a holder of BTC. If you don't own any BTC don't look into altcoins. Make sure you have your holdings proportional to the chances of a coin succeeding. BTC has at least 80% to succeed. Coins like XRP maybe 40%. Shitcoins like Bitcoin SV 1%.

Also make sure you do the math before you put any money into the space.

You are investing a decent amount of money, I suggest you diversified it more, 2 altcoins only for me is too aggressive for long term investment although I am not against with your selection, maybe just add more, try to evaluate your selection consider finding also some cheaper coins which could give you a great profit once the market recovers.

Actually 2-3 is a good long term hold, make sure you have your target already as things that happened in the past can happen now, if it pump in one year, try to sell it again as after that, a correction might take place, maybe its a long correction again that we don't like to see.

10000 Euro is a large amount of money, you can buy more than 2 altcoins for long-term investment. Now the price of the market is very good, this is a good opportunity for you to buy. I recommend investing 5000Euro in Ethereum, $ 5000 and Litecoin. I think these are the two most powerful altcoins in the market, they are likely to increase in the future.

It depends on your crypto investment experience, if you have good faith the project will not die in a year then there is nothing wrong to add the coin of the project to your altcoin portfolio. Otherwise, stay away from the suggestions of other project investors and mind your own business. The diversified altcoin portfolio will be a smart choice because of the gold rules by the experienced investors: Never hold the all eggs in a single pocket.

This question you asked is one of the toughest question to answer in this space because one can hardly give a tangible answer to it as a result of the nature of the market. However, if am to suggest, holding Bitcoin is worth it more than any other coin, but if you have a nack for altcoins then ETH is worth it. Therefore I can say, 80% goes to Bitcoin while 20% goes to ETH.

$10,000 investment if done wrong could turn to $20, so for me it seems very stupid to be asking for investment advice here unless it is just un theory, because most people are would be shilling their own bag to you, having said all these to me BTC is still the best invest in the space coupled with the coming halving in 6 months time

If I have already invested 10k on BTC (should always be a priority), I would diversify the other 10k between ETH and others. Like BTC, ETH is a altcoin that should be included in every portfolio. I would diversify the rest between top altcoins (this includes LTC, ATOM, IOTA, ADA, XLM, XMR and etc.). The more coins the investment is divided into, this means the less risk and better quality portfolio for me.

to invest the choice remains in yourself, members here only provide input for your reference, if you decide to invest all your funds in crypto then you must be really careful before you start. maybe this is a little reference from me that is on btc, eth, bnb and also iota

My choice is bitcoin and ethereum as it has good market demand, and there are many developments today that are sure to have a positive impact on future prices.

It is also a good opportunity to buy Ethereum (Eth) because of its inexpensive price which will indeed give us a great profit on hold. Like with Bitcoin many investor expects its increase price in the coming years, especially with the anticipated Bitcoin Halving that will happened in 2020.

I would still invest at least 50 percent in Bitcoin, because the majority of altcoins has shown nothing during the last two years. But if I would be forced to chose altcoin, I would definitely invest in Ethereum and EOS.

Well, you are gonna get a lot of biased opinions here so here's mine.

Get yourself some BAT tokens! Imo, it's just one of the handful of cryptos with an actual product backing it, brave browser, which get's more popular by the day. Recently, brave surpassed 8 million installation and I think owing a coupling thousand tokens is a must! It's also around 30# in coinmarketcap so there's plenty of growth to come, if it keeps attracting more users Cheesy

Why does it have to be altcoins? What perks of investing in altcoins that you don't see in other investment instruments?

If I were you I'd spend all those 10K EUR for Bitcoin. Then I either store it in a cold/hardware wallet or invest those BTC somewhere else (casino bankroll, maybe).

But if you insist on altcoins, look for major altcoins that have been existing for a long time. My picks are Ethereum and Binance Coin. Why does it have to be two though? For altcoin investing I guess it's better to spread your risk over a numerous amount of alts.

IOTA and Ethereum are good choice.
You have chosen two diffrent altcoins with two diffrent use case, so I do not have roblem with it. But 10 000 Euro is enough money and these 2 altcoins are more risky than Bitcoin. So consider Bitcoin also.

if the amount of funds owned is that you should make a portfolio first, the goal is that the investment runs in an organized manner. and do not forget to invest in real life, because such a large amount of funds must be utilized to the maximum and divided into several sections with different goals

If I were you, I wouldn't invest in only 2 coins. I would rather diversify my investment into more coins and I would not miss bitcoin. Let me tell you my preferred allocation,

1. 40% in bitcoin
2. 30% in ETH
3. 10% in IOTA
4. 10% in Binance Coin
5. 5% in Houbi token
6. 5% in EOS

I kept Binance coin and Houbi token in my portfolio because these tokens are backed by serious businesses! Might give me capital protection support during bad times!

Update: I removed XRP from the list after it released 1 billion coins from their escrow account. IOTA takes over!

Diversifying the altcoin portfolio after buying the promising project's coin and investing the rest of the amount in the Ethereum is my preference. Never make a mistake to put all the money in the single coin, the single fall will break all eggs in the basket. At least choose 10 coins and watch the growth of the portfolio.
