i believe you need more time, 10k as a stable value will be true by the end of the 2020-2030 decade

if he talk as an unstable value then it may be, but i would predict that the price will then be dumped easily at the previous range

I think this is an important distinction to make.

$10,000 per BTC in the next couple years is possible, just like $1000 in 2013 was possible. It will probably be a huge spike followed by a massive correction. $10,000 as a stable level will take considerably longer, but I think it was Tuur Demester who said, "Bitcoin is looking to disrupt a $34 Trillion industry".

Do you guys understand just how tiny a fraction of that market BTC needs to absorb to be sitting at $10,000 per coin? If this continues to play out and we get past this block size debate and people regain confidence, then the sky is the limit in my opinion.

Its not possible in my eyes, I even find it unrealistic if I'm honest about it, its just too much for the bitcoin itself.
Maybe its possible but I think the chance is close to zero if you ask me, the fact is that the bitcoin first have to prove itself when the halving has been done.

The most of us do not think this will happen, and neither do I because I think its just too much for the bitcoin.
The fact that the bitcoin never even hit the 2000 makes it already impossible and the future is good but not so good, its unrealistic.

i agree with you about the 10,000 dollars being impossible but the $2000 is both possible and easy to reach.

bitcoin is not even at half of its potential. there is a lot of room to grow and conquer the world. all those money that is going to invest in bitcoin will push it to 2000 in a couple of years easily

Indeed this will never gonna happen the future is even unsure of the bitcoin so that is already saying enough in my eyes.
The bitcoin can go to a max of 4k in my opinion not more than that will be ever possible.

Yes as said to the maximum the price might reach $4000 to $5000. If the price grows higher as $10000, we can predict as something going wrong in the technology.

That will only happen maybe in the future. But not around this time. That is impossible to happen. Because it is too high.
It is a perfect price to sell it ofcourse. But we need to be realistic and that is not realistic. So maybe it is possible about 50 years or something.

It seems a very, very faraway dream, especially when there are so much debates about the future of bitcoin and in the meantime we are seeing other interesting cryptocurrencies emerging out there. Competition is always useful, and I hope bitcoin can overcome it with enough strength to reach such level of price.

I agree that certain crypto currencies do have some nice features, but they are not something that can/may compete with Bitcoin at any time. Beside that, most of the altcoins end up losing 90-95% of their value after a few years.

One example is the Ethereum. You can build smart contract on that platform. But bitcoin can also do that with some support.

bitcoin can do that and everything any alt can do simply by using something like sidechain, which can emulate perfectly any coin out there

so because of this there is really no comparison, altcoin are only good for testing

Most of them don't even last a few years, they can lose all their value over the course of a year or even less.

Back during the giant alt bubble back in 2013/2014, most weren't retaining any value and most of them ended up becoming unused pieces of junk after a short period of time. Most altcoins that maintain a decent amount of their value after 3 years will likely be established cryptocurrencies, and won't lose their value anytime soon.

At the times I was into altcoins I was dealing with XPM, NMC, PPC, NVC, TRC, LTC, FTC. Others were pure trash. XPM, TRC, FTC are out of the picture now. The others kept somewhat of a value. Litecoin is the only coin of these that maintained a good value and is widely tradable on various exchanges. Some times dead coins are slowly being bought up and suddenly they come to life again. It has already happened very recently. Easy way to make a lot money.

That is very impossible mate. You havent the warranty that it will only rise in the future. It can also be fall down and that wont be good.
I hope later of course that the value will rise, but you never know what can happen later in the future.

Its not impossible but it will never happen in the future the bitcoin has right now, it can possible on a long term.
In about 5 years is possible but than its the question if it will happen because the bitcoin is not to predict of course.

Its possible for sure, but we will see what happens of course, the bitcoin is very unpredictable everything can happen these days with the bitcoin.
This year its not reachable but if a big company steps in like google, it would be possible because people are want to invest in it because of that and more people would believe in it.

Impossible yes, but for the coming decade.
Eventually there are no more bitcoins mined which means the price can increase.

The price will be $10,000 in about 10 years. It is too high for the next two to three years. There are not many uses now.

It all depends on how Bitcoin develops itself in the future. If there is a real demand for Bitcoin in todays world, then the price will rise accordingly. If the future proofs that the need for Bitcoin is very low, then we will never see a price near $3000, let alone $10,000.
