Everything is possible but I think it's highly unlikely. The Wall Street gurus proclaimed Bitcoin would be $5000 per coin till Christmas last year but it has been stagnation all year long.
I agree, it certainly would be in the realm of possibility but it's extremely unlikely.  And the reason I say this is because I own some bitcoin and every single one of my investments is jinxed.  So if I still have bitcoin in my wallet in 3 years, the most likely scenario will be that I'll have just sold my precious metals and gold/silver is poised to skyrocket, and something will have replaced bitcoin (which I don't own), thus making all of my btc worthless.  If I was all of you, I'd be begging me to sell right now.   Grin

Price ain't related to block size alone and covers many other factors such as user base, adoption, volume, news, etc...
You cannot decide the price of a coin based on mining factor alone...
By saying "cheaply", do you mean you want fee lesser than 0.0002 BTC per transaction???

How can increase the adoption if blocks are full and TXfee keeps increasing? As long as there are some non-full blocks, TXs will cost 0.0002, but when there will be a constant queue in the mempool, the TX costs will raise very quickly to a level that will make bitcoin interesting only for settlements. It's not just a mining factor.

He said this ~3 years ago ut we are not even in 4 digits right now. I think it's impossible to happen next 3 years. There's no show of big support of Bitcoin. Price stays here some more time.

it will not happen in the near time in my opinion, it will surely take at least a few decades for such thing to happen

I don't think we will see a price this high ever.
10k Is like the marketing cap going x30. That's not likely to happen.

I also think it will not happen, but anything is possible with Bitcoin. Who knows what will happen after 10 years with Bitcoin. The price will either be very high or nearly worthless.

It will keep going down until blocks are 1 MB and users can't transact freely and cheaply.

LN and SC are just vaporware.

Users can still transact freely even without increasing the block size limit. Its just a matter of speed.

Satoshi dreams to have Bitcoins way above what we are talking for, here...
So, basically, speculations are meant to turn out reality sooner or later, and so, there is a possibility we will see BTC at $10k, not necessarily in the next 3 years, but for sure some day...

I strongly believe after this upcoming halving we can predict more accurately when will bitcoin could reach $10,000 price levels. I do not think it would need another 3 years. I have seen many times the speculations here becoming true and surprising me.

It's true that few speculations have become true and you might expect to see more spikes than dooms these days as halving is gonna take place, but always remember that the one who buys at the peak will always regret... So, let's hope that if it ever reaches $10k per coin, that should not be the peak as it was when it reached $1k... You just see the values, but think about the %s, it will get lower and lower as the price moves higher and higher...

Its like dream comes true situation when bitcoin will reach to $10000. Its actually possible but takes some duration and this duration is totally depends on block size and rewards. As its only 21 billion bitcoins will be generated so after  end of BITCOIN HALVING COUNTDOWN. Price of bitcoin will boom. And till that volume and usability will be increased. More transparency and more security.

Moderators can apply censorship as long as they want, but people are not stupid and the market shows it. Times are mature for a full grow of bitcoin adoption, and the price keeps plummeting for the bitcoin block size debate. Just read http://reddit.com/r/btc to see how things really are. Price will keep going down until a few people will control bitcoin (core).

In three years I expect it to be around 1000$ perhaps, but 10000$ seems too much.

This style of thinking makes more sense to me.  I won't bother making unqualified guesses at the actual number, but I do agree that we may see a peak at some level that isn't yet sustainable, where in later years it becomes a base to work from for an idea of what it is doing.

We can see markets in many sectors right now that are peaking unreasonably high then coming down 40%, 50% and more.  Oil right now for example has lost very roughly 80% of its peak value, though I'm sure when the stars align it'll be back up there.

3 years for $10k? *ROFLMAO*

Perhaps in 10, if adoption continues to spread and a cure is fairly soon implimented for the number of transactions limit caused by the "small" block size.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a new all-time high in the next 3 years, but I would bet AGAINST it topping $2k that soon.

wait, one must separate the peak from the stable value, 10 years for a stable 10k value, is a realistic prediction

but this does not mean that we can not expect a 10k value in 2-3 year, as a peak or unstable value like it was for the 1200...
