I don't see this happening at all, short term of even long term.

In three years, it might be. World is not very stable now, and it can certainly happen, although it is not the most likely think. Big raises in price tend to not hold for lots of time, although the trend is to go up slowly.
I think it will happen, afterall I am betting hundreds of hours of my life on it.

I wouldn't be surprised it went from $400 to $10,000 in a matter of a few days just like the $1,200 pump happened, and the 3 other similar pumps before that that have been of the same trend.

As suggested everything would take place but not according to a scheduled plan. It keeps on growing, can meet steep falls...etc. This is the effects occuring over the technology as well as growth, So it takes its own time to reach the range $10000 per bitcoin.
Perhaps the price will go somewhere above $1500 within the next 3 years, but the thinking that it will reach a whopping $10,000 USD is quite unsound. There's very little reason to believe so, unless somehow a global event showcased the usage of Bitcoin and what it has to offer.

Its not a good thing to expect too much and be disappointing when the price doesn't hit 10,000 in a few years.$2000 might be a more realistic goal.

I find it very hard to believe that we will reach such a high price within a few years. To come even close to $5000 there must be hundreds of millions of fresh money to flow into Bitcoin. And to touch $10,000 a few billion fresh money might be needed.

I don't see why bitcoin cannot penetrate the price of $10,000 in the near future. It might be possible after 5 years or somewhere around that.We must touch (again)$1000 first. And it will be probably within' 2 years. $2500 is the next big target for few years ahead. $10,000 seems impossible in next 5-6 years. But who now...

I would love if this could be verified but according to me seems an unreachable price. Make such kind of jump for only three years having in mind all the its problems (which unfortunately exist) mentioned by Mike Hearn and the disagreements between the core developers seems not possible for me. Having then again in mind even that it will be for sure more spread and more use of it and seeing that already the blockchain suffer time after time (what mean that need interventions to make it more strong, reliable and faster on its "duties") this price seemed a mission impossible that only Tom Cruise can resolve. But it will he be able to realize this mission?

This is a certitude that Bitcoin will reach 10 000$ soon or later. However, I really doubt that it will be reached within 3 years.
high profile bitcoiners always tend to have ultra high predictions. i just laugh at these predictions and also the $100,000 predictions from other wealthy bitcoiners. winklevoss bro's for example, i am interested in finding out how many of their 100k bitcoins they still have. i am quite sure they secured some of their profits.
I think that everyone hopes that the price reaches that. I definitely hope that it does. I would be rich.
It would take atleast 7-10years as per the recent growth rate. Bitcoin could reach the expected 10000$ at the same time the economy of the world also seems to be high causing a huge profit to the users. So start collecting as much for better part in future
