no no, i mean i only want to mine name coin with bit minter and not a merge mine with bit coin

We are mining namecoins with bitcoin hashes. We could mine them with namecoin hashes, but then we would be unable to use the same hashes to create bitcoins. It would be a massive loss on your mining income, generating the same amount of namecoins as before, but zero bitcoins. Bitminter does not offer that because it makes no sense.

Hodl!
If you mean, is it only namecoins that are possible to merge mine with bitcoin, then no there are a handful of other coins. Not sure if they're really "worth it" but would be nice to have a couple of others, then at least the small miners get a few "whole" coins of some type to play on the exchanges with and make them feel like they're earning something when the bitcoins are coming in at 0.01 a day or less.

Is there a way to get my Blue Fury USB to work with BitMinter, or do I have to use bfgminer? I've tried the beta downloaded from the website but that doesn't pick it up. Can I then get bfgminer to use the BitMinter server, so I can see everything in one place?

I use my block erupters with bitminter client.  I then use my red fury with bfgminer.  If I go to bit minter.com to look the worker adds the two together.

were you able to load the driver for the blue fury.  I use windows 7.

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/3.5.1/

I loaded  the bfgminer from here. I used the bfgminer-3.5.1-win64zip  .

I am only running red fury with the 3.5.1 client

the be's run on doc's client.  same worker same pc.

Double your Personal Bitcoin Funds.
This is already available. Look at "duration" for the BTC and NMC round data shown at https://bitminter.com/livestats/big

BUT: it doesn't matter when you turn off your equipment. There is no good or bad time to stop mining.
I see it now under BTC round section. That's exactly what I was looking for.

I know it doesn't matter when miners are turned off, I'm just trying to get familiarized to how things are presented on the site.

I've noticed the Livestats\big page is now showing only BTC blocks under the 'Lastest Blocks' section; up until a few days ago it used to show NMC as well. Was this change intentional?
Yes. For a long time people were complaining it is disappointing to hear the new block sound and then realize it was only an NMC block. NMC value also dropped a lot lately and is a less significant part of the income now.

So I made the latest blocks on the livestats only show BTC. And the transaction history and workers page only show BTC data by default, and there's a filter you can change to see the NMC data.
Quite reasonable; thanks for the explanation.

Thanks for clarification. I'm understanding the dashboard and immense information given slowly one thing at a time. Earlier I made some suggestions and now I see why those suggestions were not implemented since those are no needed that much.

Good suggestions go on my TODO list. But it may take a while before I get to them - it's a long list.

What I'd like to see is a timer showing "time since last block found" as it would help in deciding when to turn off my miners for the night and other times of the day.

It used to be that for many pools there was a good time to stop mining at the pool, to maximize income. This was called pool hopping. Only a few pools are still vulnerable to it. More info here: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5072/what-is-pool-hopping

I don't think you have a full understanding of the situation yet.

There is no benefit (or drawback) in turning off your miners at a specific time. It doesn't matter if the last block was found 10 seconds ago or 10 hours ago. Whatever happened in the past has no effect on what will happen in the future. All that matters for your payout is your average hashrate in the last 10 shifts when a block is found. Trying to "time" when it is best to turn off your miners makes no sense at this pool; there is no "best" time.

Nothing bad happens with the work you already did in a shift if you disconnect and stop working.

If you have noisy miners and need to sleep, or you have expensive electricity part of the day, then you don't have to mine 24/7.

But the more work you do the more you get paid. That goes for any pool and any reward model.
