I noticed that the donation page ignores the hundredths when you're putting in a percentage. I was trying to put in 0.25% to activate the API perk, but it keeps rounding down to 0.2%. Ended up having to put in 0.3% to activate the perk. Tongue

Manateeeeeeees
For those who want a fun interface to bitminter's API, I've created this:

https://jointsecurityarea.org/bitminter/

Mario jumps and the coin sound plays every time we get a block (often before MintBot in the bitminter IRC channel reports it.  You can view the pool-wide information by default, or put in your API key from your account to get personalized information.  The API keys have read-only access.  Your hashrate will be displayed and updated every minute, along with everything else.  It also tries to estimate what you'll make on an average day in BTC based on your hashrate.

Try it out!

3 days later you're up another 10%, to 220 TH/s. Smiley

3 long days to grow a measly 10% ? We're not growing fast enough. Cheesy It's time for another mint race promotion.

Seems like pool time for me:

The timestamps on the live stats page are for when each statistic was last fetched from the server. Normally that would be the same as UTC, which is what the website uses. But if there was a problem fetching stats it could have fallen behind a bit.

So do we get paid for a 0 minute 0 work block?

Yes, the income from the block is of course paid out.

And yeah, blocks created from zero work is due to pure awesomeness.

That you are Doc !

Today this pool created a block with a reported work of 0. How is it even possible? Does it mean that it found two blocks with two consecutive shares?
or maybe just because bitminter is so awesome

Or its just me being awesome!

It probably only polls the stats once every x seconds?  Maybe 30 seconds?  Block was found 20 seconds after the other one?

or maybe just because bitminter is so awesome

Hello I have a question ,

I have broken my hard drive when I dropped it !!

I had a payout of about .1 ish bitcoins from my mining efforts .

Are them coins recoverable ? Are they lost forever ?

If you have backup of your wallet.dat file it's OK. If not ... try HDD data recovery company and pray.

While a HDD recovery company may be able to recover the wallet.dat file for you chances are that if there is physical damage to the disk it will cost a lot more than the  BTC .1 you've lost. If there are other important or non-replacable files on the drive it might be worth it but recovery services for physical damage run between several hundred dollars up to thousands depending on the type of drive and the amount of damage.

Thank you , If I understand correctly ,Basically if the physical hard drive /memory stick is broken all the coins are gone never to be seen ?

There is no way to recover them from the transaction history ?
Correct.
The wallet.dat file contains your private keys for your addresses. Without these you are unable to "reclaim" your coins.
