I agree. I bet starting at 12 AM CST that the next day will be much better Grin
Already received as of 9:15 AM CST today pretty much all of what was received yesterday. Looks to be a good day Cheesy Gotta love variance in any pool. Keep up the good work Bitminter and DrHaribo!

When you find time, it would be nice for the stats lover, to add 2 little columns to the stats page, representing the block distribution by percentile.
You could also add green or red color to the numbers depending if it's above or under the normal 10% distribution it should tend to.
Or maybe you could plot directly into into the graph the average of the last 10/50/100/whatever values in different color. Would make it easier to see how luck is going. People loooove statistics and fancy graphs!  Cheesy

And for the record: Great work! Highly appreciated! Smiley

My hashrate seems to jump up and down on the stats page. I am basing at a constant 29.5 right now but it swings between 22 and 32 on the stats page.  Is there any way to soften the average

Live stats (full size) -> Latest Shifts (bottom right) - then take the last ten shifts and average them - that gives you a good estimate of your average hash rate over the last ten hours.

I think he meant 7 TH (our current hash rate) not 7th place.

It's been a rough few days... True.   Oddly even my LTC miner pools are seeing rough luck.  2 separate LTC pools are doing very poorly and now Bitminter....

As BTC difficulty continues to increase, the smaller pools are going to start to drop by the wayside because variance gets to be too much.  Let's hope people come to Bitminter because 7TH really isn't that much.

Guys a silly question. If the bitminter site is down does the pool server still work? Will my mining in the site downtime will be calculated? Thanks

Yes, the mining server will cease to work if it is not able to record your work. That's done on purpose as a failsafe mechanism. If mining is working, then it is safe to keep mining.

The website is more stable, but there is still a third party bug affecting it now and then. I will see what I can do about it.

So if my Bitminter client is finishing work units everything is ok? Just what i wanted to hear. Thanks!

Hey DrHaribo,

Take a look at the image below.

Edit: Whe i see the transaction history i understand why my earnings is so slow, but i dont understand why.

When your proofs of work are accepted by the server they are registered in the current (not yet finished) shift. Each time a block is found the last 10 completed shifts are paid.

After the shift is completed the work is now eligible for pay from any blocks we find. From then on, every time we find a block those proofs of work are paid from the income in that block, until 10 more shifts are completed. This causes a delay from the moment you do the work until it is fully paid and stops receiving payments.

Currently shifts take almost 1 hour. So it takes anything from a split second to 1 hour from the time you do some work until its shift is finished. And then it takes 10 shifts (10 hours) until it is fully paid. So the delay from you did some work until it is fully paid is 10 to 11 hours with the current pool hashrate and Bitcoin difficulty.

In addition, if you don't have the prepay perk activated then the payments are only set up when a block is found but not executed until the block is confirmed. This causes an additional delay of about 20 hours from the block is found until the coins hit your BitMinter account.

That's a total payment delay from 10 up to 31 hours.

And then there is luck... daily earnings fluctuate as we play the Bitcoin lottery called mining.
