Quick question, I'm building a 1080 TI rig that I want to use my old motherboard and processor to start. It is the ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX and I'm using AMD Phenom II X6 1100T. Will this be fine as far as the setup. It looks to me to have enough Pci-e lanes for the 5 1080 ti's but I didn't know if motherboard matters as far the setup. Thanks.

As of last night my two 1080 Ti's were earning $9 per day (combined) and my 1070 was on about $2.50. Using multipool miners. I think I'm fine
How do you do that? I can't get more than $2 per GTX 1080 Ti lately.

Take a look at the fans right after it boots. I had a card that was not acting the same as the others in one of my rigs. After a lot of reboots and moving risers around i noticed a fan on one of the cards was acting differently than the others. Immediately after it powers up all of the fans are to spin at a fast rate and then stop. After another reboot i noticed one of them kept spinning for a longer period than the others. Eventually when it did stop it would still try to spin a little bit here and there. I replaced the USB cable and it has been running solid ever since.

I would'nt count on it. Miners are also traders, when they loose interest in a coin it drops.
That's my thought. Once you can no longer mine it I think interest will fade.

I am mining nist5 at hashrefinery with 2x gtx 1080ti, hashrate=185MH/s and getting 0.0024 BTC/Day. Is this good enough? or there is something better.
It seems about right. $4-6 per card. I mine skein 0.0041 btc/day with 3 cards.
Seems pretty good.
I'll give it a try.
