what is the optimal GPU settings for nexus?
depends on manufacturer/cooling system/VRAM timings/etc. It is not a hard work I think  Smiley

What are you mining to get that?
But, seriously, $15 a day per card? For a few days with a real exchange?
with 2 real exchanges
SPR and NXS I guess. I got more than 18$/day per 1080Ti
Im mining to my cryptopia wallet. I just started now. When can I see the first payout ?

Are these any good now?

68 coins on 6x1080Ti rig per two days. It is approx 17$/day per each single card. It is awesome.

And we can't rewrite BIOS at the Nvidia cards like AMD...

You can flash bios on nvidia cards! I did it myself about week ago.

actually it is very hard to check all the coins around, there are a dozens old coins with decent profit and everyday coming out new coins as well
yes, most of them are clones, but some of them are showing good profits..

Was a good run for a few days mining bulwark shit coin (this must be the worst name ever) but I stopped mining it since profitablity has gone down. There are other coins with almost the same profit but with a much brighter future.

Bulwark will probably worth less then $1 in a couple of days.

If you're using an algo switching miner, do you overclock both the core and the memory or do you load an O/C profile depending on the miner it's using?

Setup this discussion so we know the best way to max out the potential for this expensive GPU.

We know from time to time the profitability shift, so hope here can get advise and suggestion for near optimum profit.

Best Algo/hashrate:
Which pool:
which mining software:
current expected daily profit before electricity:
Any OC (core/memory):

Or any tips on extra mod:

23/Dec posted:
Maybe as we get this discussion further, I will group the list of Algo and coin that is most used by the 1080ti. To do this, might need some help from all of you as I might missed to capture what you have posted.

Could be like:

Current reported profitable coin:
- Date / Coin / Algo / maybe link to the coin or the miner?
- to ensure the list not too long, we will keep it within the top 20 reported by date. Any older date will be moved out (or I might put this to a google spreadsheet link)

As for the setting of the OC, I think just have to do own test as the variance just too large and every card is not the same

What other key info you believe should be in the 1st page?

I know many dont like to share the profitable coin as when it got listed here, likely is taking away the profit from them. but just post only if you are willing to help.

1080 card is so expensive so i suggest u to use 1070 or multiple 1060 cards. if you have enough space you can use 1060 it is better in parallel mode or you can creat mining room for this class of graphic cards.

Is there a way we can reduce the memory voltage?
Nvidia inspector and Afterburner can't do it. And we can't rewrite BIOS at the Nvidia cards like AMD... So, we can only hope that new 20xx Turing series special for mining/neuro will be allowed do it...
why can`t rewrite BIOS? we can, but profit is around nothing. main problem with new cards will be miner. we need alexis )

Hi guys,

i won 15x 1080Ti's and i'm about to sell one or two because profit is too low today and card is easy to sell... at high price (higher than the price i bought it).

I'm searching for the MSI Afterburner configuration for my rigs... what do you guys recommend for settings ?

i put 80% on Power max
+10Hz clock
-10 Memory

You have 15 cards but you're underclocking the memory?! Shocked
I belive 1080ti Works the same as any other from the 10 series, so I'd say play between 65%-80% power and depending on the algo try different overclocking until your system is stable and doesn't crash.
In most of the cases though, the core clock wouldn't make any difference (in Neoscrypt I set it to +50 on my 1070ti though, it gives a little boost at no extra power draw). The memory speed is the most important but you need to see what manufacturer you have. Samsung would be the best, it can be overclocked more than others. Oh and because of that reason, you'd better overclock every GPU independently. Some GPUs might be able to handle +700 on memory, others might crash after +600 (those are not 1080 specific numbers).

I use the 1080Ti to mine ZEC. I found there memory frequency does not make difference. So I reduce it by 300MHz.

Same thing on Nist5, it does not use memory (only GPU clock is important), you can lower it down (waste of power, heating and fans).

Is there a way we can reduce the memory voltage?
This was not about the voltage, but about the frequency of memory
