If you sell at this high, you are just profit taking and many are even doing it right now. But please enough with those bubbles/bubbling. It has been said for hundred times since before and today even theres a big support from the community and big companies as well that makes the demand higher, still it is bubble?

Hey guys,

lets make it short:
1) yes bitcoin is the future and the price will increase on the long run, but:
2) we are currently obv. bubbling (what is not happening the first time).

So my question is - do you sell now in order to get a cheaper entry soon?

I think you guys agree that there has to be a price correction in the nearer future...

Thanks for your input!

I'm willing to dump a few coins as soon as it hits the 11k mark.
To later buy them again as the price decrease.

Volatility and unstable prices makes bitcoin a good choice to trade or to hold rather than any other stock market options. Even a single 5 percent gain from bitcoin investment can easily roll the capital in less than a months time higher than any interest rates any banks. Buy low sell high strategy do really apply on bitcoin market. Anytime, any day is the right time to buy and sell bitcoin as long as their is price movement.

Wow! I can't believe how fast crypto can rise and fall. It really is incredible. Last night I went to sleep it was under $10,000 and now it already went up $1,000 overnight, or 10%. Imagine if the actual stock market went up and down so much... it would be unbelievable. I don't even think most stocks go up and down even a  few percent in one day unless it is a rare occasion.

No matter the expected speculation is, if you think you are in need of to dump your coins then just do it disregarding the next thing that will happened. Long term traders tend to ignored those swings and slight crashes as obviously they want to hold for long.

In my case, at the current state of my progress and learned knowledge in bitcoin world, Im not getting most of my bitcoin thru investments so Im not waiting at cheaper entry levels in some of the cases. If ever I will try to entry, it's all about "instincts".

I'm the kind of long term investor so i would advise to keep the Bitcoins because, yes even if there will be a regulation of the market, a lot of wolfs are waiting to buy some cheap bitcoin and it will be hard to buy them back.

The price of Bitcoin is like dancing now. It was even over $11000, but it fell down to $9000, and now it is back at $10k. By saying this i think that it would make more sense to hold it.

Bitcoin can go very high in a short time and we have seen it again. It is so unstable, but yet profitable.

It is true that many have proposed to hold their bitcoins for as long as they deem necessary, but it is also important to remember that bitcoin is, in the end, an alternative for current money and for existing means of payment. Therefore, I have never stopped buying and selling bitcoins at all times, but taking into account that it still have the opportunity to grow, I try to save some small amount of bitcoins as a long-term investment.

Bitcoin is digital currency system and it Price was increased day by day and much pride was arround $10800 and in future it Cross high and tommorow itself it Cross the $11k at time we sell the bitcoin then only the investers get good profit then only you may sell bitcoin and you won't wait for anyone for long time and but have great future so this is time to buy won't sell then only you get more profits.

I am not against selling now, whenever one got hefty sum of profit is the right time to sell. Don't get caught up with your greed because if you hold for too long, then you would have to hold it for another long period of time. Do not hesitate to sell if there is a hefty sum of profit already. Just always remember to rebuy bitcoin whenever it corrects or dumps. If you have not profit big yet, then better hold that until the goal profit is reached.

That's correct and if you are making good profits then you should sell your bitcoins without waiting too long as we may see price drop in next couple of days or weeks and if you don't sell now then you will regret when you see downfall in the price as you always have an opportunity to buy at low price when price will fall in future so if you have bought bitcoins at low price in the past then this is the right time to sell bitcoins.

I think it would continuously rise in value like most of the replies suggest; however, in the aspect of selling, I think it would depend on how much profit you want to get or, in your own appraisal, what return is enough, but an important consideration is how much you bought or got the coins. If you got it for a low price then it is a good time to sell.

According to me if you are saying bitcoin is the future that means this is time to buy not to sell. In 2017 it increased a lot and even this is the starting no one knows where it will stop.

The current price is actually not bad if you want to sell right now, I'd definitely recommend. You can sell later also, the amount will be more or less by a few dollars given you don't sell in lots and a comparatively small amount in terms of bitcoin. The price will likely dip in January, the current charts point out that corrections are most likely to happen in the beginning of 2018. So stay frosty ,buy and sell bitcoin, be careful ,don't get scammed, a lot of bastards are out there just for scamming.

After that we should start to see less pump and dumps.

I think that this won't stop the pumps and dumps just like that.
Yes, I believe (or just hope?) that Bitcoin market will become someday more stable, but this will not happen overnight.
I believe that for start Bitcoin may be even more volatile than the usual.

There's a lot of fluctuation at the moment, but that is likely to change as the BTC futures desks go online later in December. After that we should start to see less pump and dumps, so play your timing carefully. https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/cboe-receives-cftc-approval-list-bitcoin-futures/

I also know that Bitcoin will continue to increase in value over time and it is for a very long run. I am not a trader so I do not sell at peak and buy at dips. I simply hold my Bitcoins and sells them when I need cash. Holding, in any circumstances, is preferred for non-traders since trading is risky.

Trading or holding, either part wins. Winning is my only concerns Cheesy

Even tho i'm not holding lots of coins , actually not even one coin , i won't be interested in selling my funds since i'm more of a holder and i don't really need this money since it's not going to change a lot in my life . At best this can get me a hotel room for a week and nothing more .
So i'm going to keep my funds until i gather a lot more and wait for it to eventually rise more in value .

I think the answer to this question also depends on where you have bought in...
If you have bought in at $100, of course then you should sell some to realise your profit.
If you have bought in at $9K... well I think you should probably hold a little bit and set your stop loss at $9K.

The bubble call outs can keep coming but HODLers will continue to HODL. These are the people who are poised to wait for a very long period of time for a massive rate of interest on their investment, so I don't see why they would lose their patience at any given point in time as bubble accusations continue surfacing. $11k is just another foothold and 2018 promises to be a highly progressive year for Bitcoin with speculations that it might reach upto $40k.

I like it how people say to hold no matter the price at all.

current price X > hold until the price Y > When the price is Y > hold until the price is Z > etc...

Can you profit from selling? if so then you can you sell, just be careful not to sell lower than the current price is.

I think I’m strong believer of the bitcoin and I will wait for some more days or even months to see whether the bitcoin is standing in regards with its market capitalism and the price. Im sure hat it will go upwards only and that is what I love about it. You just speculate something about it in positive way for few months form now and bitcoin will catch the prices for sure. I seen many threads mid month this year and all were saying that bitcoin will pump to above 5K prices and it followed the wish of millions and see where it is now.

I don’t think there is any kind of bubble here. It is straightforward market here. Those who love it and trust it are making the investment and those who doesn’t like it are hating it. That is all is happening here and we can’t do anything about it.

So there is still huge time to sell the coins.
