So, old passwords are not active anymore?

They are. It's just that all regular players will get all passwords, no matter if they sent the 200 chips already or not. If they then decide to join a tournament, they would have to send 200 chips. It's easier to handle for efialtis and I think we can trust the regular players to not take advantage.

Seeing the reports fun has returned to the tournaments, I might be tempted also to return. I just find it really hard to let go of my bitcoins.   Cheesy

wise words, and also a great movie if you haven't seen it.

get in the game. Wink
Yeah Rounders is all around one of the best poker movies ever made, there are some others who are not really bad, but to me the best ever is definitely rounders. Matt Damon there plays a perfect regular person that people seem to keep forgetting, dude is a law student pose to be a lawyer, he also has some relationship or not and so forth like real life, and basically he is a regular person that just happens to gamble big time on poker.

Everyone thinks that gamblers are degenerates, or gambling is something you do to have fun once in a while and so forth, in reality you could have a regular life AND a gambling life and as long as you keep the checks separated there is really no reason to stop neither of them and you can continue both of them. Anyone here who haven't seen it, go see it right now, it is awesome.

Hey here is the video from Sunday. I posted it in my discussion thread, below some hand review/discussion https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54458113

Now I feel like an idiot but hours after I busted out forgetting I was recording I read a post on my phone about a few other tournaments on SWC, so I foolishly logged in to check them out. This logged me out of my PC and the recording. The worst part is it happened pretty much right after it went into heads up mode. So apologies Hhampuz I did not catch your moment of victory. I'll try and catch the next one.

Side note, I might be playing next week now lol. Plant is in shutdown for my entire set back, and we should be done all major work by Friday. Guess I'll just have to find a way to entertain myself... for about 40 minutes on average  Tongue

TyKiwanuka thanks for stats! Smiley It's interesting to watch tournaments trough this. Yahoo, Morvillz,  Betwrong, Ccwatcher, HHampuz, Trofo, BitcoinGirl and me are in from the beginning! Nice company I can say! Smiley I bet we will stay loyal till the end!

I am in the first 8 on all lists, it's nice! For sure this week will be another opportunity for all of us to improve our stats.

What else to say, see you at the tables these days for practicing! Smiley

Congratulations @Hhampuz  Smiley  I hope I'll win sometime a game like you.  Smiley

Added the first series and some stats to the spreadsheet, if anyone is interested Smiley Looks like around 20 players per tournament is the standard now, which is fine imo regarding duration, as long as we have two tournaments per weekend. If we switch to one tournament per weekend in the future, we could use some more players.
...
Interesting statistics. Thank you for that. I've also posted the statistics in the local board. Looks like I'm going to have to play better in the next games.  Smiley Cheesy

...
Late reg won't be changed, correct?
Correct, for that we start now with 5k chips.  Smiley

Thank you for taking the time to put these extra stats together. I'm surprised to see my name in the top money finishes. hah

Pretty rough last three games for me though, couldn't get any points, had some extremely bad reads which for some reason i just couldn't avoid. I hope to turn things around in the second half of the series, but it's not going to be easy, can tell you this much! I also need to make some adjustments to my overall strategy otherwise, i don't stand a chance.

How can you finish 7th in a tournament with 4 paid places and be happy about the result nevertheless?

That's what happened to me yesterday when I realized that I was going to be in the top row of that list with my 22 points. I mean, I'd be honoured to be in the top 5, but the 1st place ... it's too much to bear, in the opposite sense of the phrase. Well,  you see, I have no right words to express how happy I am.

Ofc it was luck, luck and luck again. Just one example: I went to the kitchen for a beer and when I returned I saw that I was a second late for calling all-in with my pocket Jacks. And you know what? It turned out I would have lost!

Good game, everyone! Congrats @Hhampuz on the win!

See you in the upcoming games, guys!

Sincerely wish you all more luck in the future! (after all, it can't stay with me all the time, right? Smiley )

Hey guys,

I hope you had a great poker time yesterday - I couldn't make it and when I saw all the "last minute" messages in my e-mail inbox, I asked tyKiwanuka to notify you - from what I see, he even took care of everything so once again - big thanks for that mate!!!

Looking at the spreadsheet and checking the chips, everything should be correct - if it's not, please let me know!

Have a nice week!

Congratulations @Hhampuz, well done.

I probably used all my luck for a loooong time after rivering two flushs and a straight in crucial situations Roll Eyes

The overall standings midway through:

@Betwrong is the only player to play all four tournaments and finishing in the points every time, chapeau.
@figmentofmyass and @CCwatcher420 are very constant and apart from Betwrong the only players to finish in the points at least three times.
@1r0n1c is probably the most efficient one, placing first and second in his only two participations.
@jayce got his first point(s) today after three unsuccessful tries.
@Hhampuz either places very bad or very good, there seems to be no middle for him - go big or go home.

I am too a noob and it's not even three complete months I learned poker 🤪

Even though I am out by now but this is first time I am feeling great because of the way I handled my hands even after all these big losing hands.

Man you're so confident and doing great all the time on the table. Must be great if you had beaten Hhampuz with that AA. Look what you have done, he won 1st now lol.

And congrats Hhampuz, you deserve it! And 1r0n1c is a beast!

i'm out in 6th. Undecided

Still a pretty decent position , you were one of the lowest stack of chips but you managed to turn things around

at least i snagged a few points towards the championship.

Points matter

Btw This game went over 3 hours and 50 minutes , with only 19 players. I guess there are some variance comparing to last night's game

I just settled in for the last 30 mins with2 players but it was brutal. About 5 seconds.  Smiley

ggs

Yes indeed, it was brutal from Hhampuz and Ir0n1c

Congratulation Hhampuz, you were great tonight also to the runner up Ir0n1c  Smiley . Damn Ir0n1c actually managed to get 19 points with only playing for 2 times

Also no sign for sygambler again today  Sad. Guess he got something to do tonight

Imagine how hard is this too handle?
I have AA and HHampuz with KK. He I called 500 chips and he gone ALL IN in the pre-flop. But see what happened!

Weird how often I was on SwC and people all had high pairs in their pockets

Like 2 or 3 players out of 5

the table was still very tight at the time. it folded around to me with T9s on the BTN w/ 9bbs left and the other 2 short stacks on the blinds. i did not want a call, but i figured i had very strong fold equity vs them considering how strong my preflop shoves had been and how tight the table was acting + strong (likely) live cards. 1r0n1c snap called with A6o though:

it seemed like a really light call to me for his whole stack. oh well, it's tough to win if you can't take down a couple of these crucial 50-50 flips. no dice this time. at least i snagged a few points towards the championship.

pretty disappointing weekend overall. no action on monsters, not winning enough flips. i'm gonna play in "the little BTC" and event #166 later, let's see if i can turn it around......
