in the software version you can right click any player and mute them. you can also go to options > settings > chat settings and mute all player chat. i'm not sure what options are available in the browser version.

lol actually I was able to get 3 points without playing a single hand earlier this tourney so maybe you can do that 
goal should be to get ITM more than getting the points , I mean if I get eliminated early with a really good hand I won't be pissed because of the points

the tournies prizes are so important , last series I ended up in profit regardless of the finale results due to the tourney rewards
winning the finale is of course much bigger , but still you can end up in profit even without qualifying to the final game ( like winning a game and ending ITM in another game )

I funded for 2 games so I guess I will likely still play the 2nd one.

Hehe, yes, I always thought it's a bit weird, but it's the same everywhere and I will just take the official result that SwC provides. I can put you at 19th place, if that helps

Let's say a bad read, and a willingness to gamble helped.
My thought process was that you might have played AJ+ with a 3-bet here. I know your stack wasn't large so after the fact I understood the flat. IIRC you took the lead on the flop for 1000 and with top pair shit kicker I wasn't folding out. The jam had me wondering, if you had it or figured I'd fold out something weaker. I know you play tight and have a good understanding of my gameplay. So I was torn. Then when I considered my SPR and for less than 1/4 of my stack I could win 3/4, the decision was made. That's the gamble on my weak top pair.

I legit felt like shit after that hand, it was gross and we've all been there.

Yeah I was happier than a pig in shit there. It did help improve the gross feeling I still had.
figment nailed it when you put that bet out there I figured you were calling off anything so there was no need to slowplay it. Nothing wrong with leading out but go with a smaller sizing, in the future and keep the pot smaller so you can try and walk away later on, if you don't have the top kicker. (look at me talking about kickers)

It would be a shame to see you go. I think dealing with a "mouth" is part of the game. You either engage with them or not. You chose to be the mouth and engage with others and it can go to far. I am personally not a fan of trash talk as i think the majority of people aren't built to dish it out, or handle it. Often it just progresses to far... like it did today. It doesn't help when it's a day you just keep running into the nuts... well 2 of 3 times.  I legit do hope you come back as I've enjoyed playing against you, even when I'm losing and pissy about it. I do think you both got out of hand at the table for the part I was around which was about midpoint.

Curious does SWC not have a chat block?? I rarely watch the chat on my other site but am not sure if you can just mute certain players on SWC.

I don't think what I saw was in the spirit of competition. Might just be the way I've always competed, but apart from lighthearted joking I like to keep my head in the game. I prefer a play style where I'd be able to without a doubt have a beer with anyone I sit down with.
The parting shot was pretty bad imo, it really makes your gg and everything after insincere.

I've had this discussion with many people since textin became the main communication for most. You can't convey emotion or intent across words. Jokes get lost and so can a well meaning message after the fact.

Thanks I got real lucky in a few spots and had more than my fair share of good cards. Tomorrow might be out the window for me, we'll have to see. Someone sent a message that I might have training tomorrow so who knows, might actually have to do my job at work. Woe is me.

That it was it is the best hand of poker I will ever play. I took what he said in chat about needing to go soon as my chance on the flop to jam. Probably didn't hurt he had flopped a flush, while mine was a royal flush... daaaaamn

Yeah I get you, each playstyle has a hole that would change the course once thing change including switching table or even changing seat due to more people joining into the game
 

Im just saying though even if there are extra player or not, it wont really change anything at all. You could be getting bad cards even if there are no late reg or table changed or position changed (?)

I think you weren't the most friendly player during this 1.5+ series and found some not-so-nice words about players, when things didn't go your way. That being said, we have a lot of different characters at the tables and also different skill sets. We have beginners, tight players, lag players, average players and quite a lot of very good players - and you are certainly one of them. And we have more introverted players, guys that never make a peep basically, pretty talkative ones and the extroverted (read: drunk) lads. And it's a good mix and everyone is part of this little event, no matter his temper.

Now you bumped into someone, who gave you some contra and you exchanged some arguments. No biggie imo, dish out and take on the chin. I mean, come on, you basically argued about a poker hand and who is the donk Happens all the time at poker tables. No need to leave the series for that

Maybe sit out tomorrows tournament and come back next weekend with a fresh mind. Poker is poker, life is short and there is no need to be upset about a little in-competition argument, where you tend to say some bad things in the heat of the moment. The world will look different tomorrow already

sad to see this happening , honestly in other games I don't even chat just in case I give some tells or so but this one is supposed to be friendly
we all made jokes in the last two months and things never progressed like this , just forget about it and continue cause it will be really bad to lose you after all things you did for the series

Like I said. The spirit of competition. I get that people can’t handle the heat sometimes. But I’m gracious in victory and defeat. There were still 5 other runners after me and they saw my message and I said gg.

Of course this was after I added insult to injury. But the moment was heated. But ... it’s a moment.

It is not imagination, it is a hole in my game, I am aware of it but can't really fix it when playing for these stakes. Cards don't matter so much, my playing style gets way too risky when I am not enjoying myself completely. I start rushing my decisions and calling way too much hands in those situations.
 
Actually there was 8 of on that first table and then few more players registered and we needed 3rd table and there was maybe 6 of us on that new table where the game moved me so that is not a problem.

Sorry if you felt like I called out or something in case that you were one of the late regs. That was not my intention. I just don't like the feeling when game throws me on another table. On the other hand I don't mind at all if a player or few get on my table

Sorry to hear that man, I hope you will change your mind, you will be missed if this really was your last participation. I will not comment the situation since I wasn't on the table when it happened but I sort of understand your position. There is no point in playing if you are not enjoining yourself for any reason.

I think it’s cute actually posted about how mad you were. Maybe I’ll enlighten a few people on what happened. Essentially we got it in on a two suited board with gapper straights and he had JJ vs. my AA. Then yahoo was salty about it and stated it was an action hand.basixally accusing the RnG of creating situations where chips can get it in. Then yahoo made a statement about how he would get it in with me because I am a donk.

And that’s how the entire “dispute” started. I use that term loosely because I don’t take things too seriously. I love competition. My last message was we would be glad to have him back. And I do like a little trash talk but again I don’t provoke matters. If you come at me come at me with the chips.

Now sorry I cost us a player. Collectively this has been a good series and it’s hard enough to get runners. I hope yahoo comes back, because I am a good sport.

Happened to me alot of time as well when a specific player won against me few times . Emotion indeed play big part in poker (?) or probably only online poker. Never had any real poker game against real dudes in my life up until now (Mostly play for fun without any money involves)


He is now top 3 together with 1r0n1c and Betwrong. 1r0n1c play and get all those top spot everytime he play . I wont really be surprised if he actually win the grand final game as well

3 times today I got JJ. All 3 times I lost with that hand. ran into AA, AA, and 46 LMAO.

I will no longer participate in this event. JTisCuban really aggravated the fuck outta me today and ran that mouth just a bit too much. I'd rather play casually, then have to deal with his donk mouth. Yes I said that correctly, DONK. Dude gets AA and turns into a pro. I'm ok with a little trash talk, but this guy takes it to the extreme.

Yes, I was aggressive in some hands lately and I can assure everyone that none of them were bluff. I really do not bluff however I feel that I need to learn this skill and need to perfect it. I have posted some hands earlier and you will see I folded batter hands than this but in this one I was feeling a go so I did. Unfortunately he had better kicker. Good game SteamTyme.

I will need to improve a lot in my games, I can feel it.

I think he stole more than 5 hands from me and I was having this feeling that he was bluffing in some of them if not all 🤪

i was at your table. tbh you seemed quite aggressive on your final few hands. tilted?

limp-calling preflop from the SB w/ KJo is fair enough, but i didn't love the OOP pot-sized bet on the flop. after betting so big you probably felt committed when he shoved in your face.

i rarely make pot-sized bets. it creates situations where you risk too much and give yourself pot odds to call in marginal spots where folding is actually optimal. this is especially true when out of position (first to act).


i could feel that frustration. @steamtyme sure capitalized on it.
