Just stick to the top altcoins and never invest any ICO if you don't know if they were legitimate or not. Mostly ICO these days are just good from the start but after the token sale is done. They will surprisingly gone after the post-sale would come to an end. I don't know why a trusted developer teams are sometimes tend to run the investors and money. They were all like the quick-rich scheme which is mostly become a trendy topic on this forum.

There are many better ICO, specially those project that are in betting, wallet and exchange. These are more reliable today.

That's a lot of money to invest and if I were you, I would invest it in a well-known coin so that I wouldn't regret anything about it. Bitcoin I think is best for a long term hold and I would always put my trust in it since I've had good enough profit through it.
Well, you've put together a rather dangerous portfolio. That's my personal opinion. Projects with a dubious reputation and if not for their partnership, they would not be worth so much.
In principle, 2000$ it's not such huge money for crypto currency. Buy safely and do not be afraid

I think you should invest both strategies with the Altcoins ICOS you should invest about $ 1,000 the rest you should buy stellar i have felt will be very good. Because Bitcoin will go up again and ICOS investment is still profitable besides concentrating an Altcoin la stellar will be more rampant phenomenon.

it really depends on your risk acceptance but for me i would go with high R/R investment and put $500 in 4 different small cap projects that are fundamentally strong and forget about them until bull market comes back in full swing and you will be buying them pretty cheap bottom price most of them are below ico price, though bitcoin ether and XRP are safer good options too, good luck anyway
at the moment I would be very careful about ICO. Besides BTC, ETH I would like to focus on new ones. Hydrogen (HYDRO) They have a fascinating and hardworking team. Finished product. Very many partnerships. You need to study. I wish a happy hand when choosing 
I would definitely put some on Bitcoin (300usd), Ethereum (300usd), XRP (200usd), NEO (200usd) and hold the remaining 1000 usd so I can buy again and do dollar cost averaging everytime there is a big drop on the prices of the coins that I have mention.
