price rise up to 600$, but not to 1000$ like everyone likes to say, halving should increase price by 100$ or maybe even 200$

I hope the we can leave those bad weeks now behind and focus on bitcoin and it's marketing.
Without marketing we won't get anywhere.

So let the community vote what to do and then go further.

I see more like high $500ish close to 6 if anything.

I dont know about $700, unless something insightful arrises that makes it spike. But I see more of a solid mid $550 range within this year holding like how we did with last year price hovering $300ish then a solid climb.

Yes i agree with you. I think if the price goes lower so that it goes back up again, so people with bitcoin must have patience. And it is becoming increasingly popular.

it always bout patient if we can be patient that will be good but more are eager to get fast income but that is not know thing work patience is the key for income not fast track

You always have to wait, if you got some money on a bank with interest.
It will take a long time to double your money.
At bitcoin is already twice as fast as a bank.

Yup if we compare with last year's price range there is not big dump also. due to halving  this little zig zag also going.  After July price will be high so people can purchase bitcoin.

Here are my Bitcoin price predictions:
1. BTC stable at around $400-$500 for the next few months.
2. 40-50% spike for block halving hype.
3. Retracement back down to $400-$500 level.
4. Slow rise to $700 per BTC once weak hands are out.
The price of Bitcoin is stuck at around $400 now. I think that it will rise to $700 after halving.

Yes halving is going to be a major event in 2016 with respect to bitcoin price levels. I believe bitcoins prices may test $2000 also just due to the supply decreasing factors.
Generally no one can exactly predict how this halving going to impact on bitcoin prices.

It will fluctuate.

Do I win a prize for having the most accurate answer?  Because that's the only possible one that I could give and still be honest.  And my guess is that if we look back on this thread on 12/31/16 I'll be the only one who was right.

my predictions for this year, the price of bitcoin be $ 700, there will be a new wallet, and more and more known in the community, I hope this year to bitcoin existing ATM in every country  Grin
Wallets comes and goes but we should stay at the one which is the core, i hope that this year the price will reach $700, at Q2-Q3 2016

I think with a new wallet he means that a fork might pop up this year. I think this too and when the block size is updated to 2 MB it will give the price a significant boost. I am happy if we touch the $600 level and stay above it. Higher is always better but we must stay realistic.

Accordingly it would go with realistic effect compared to fictive predictions like 1000$ and so on. It will most probably reach 600$ range as suggested with fluctuations in the value for long term.

Updating my prediction to $900 after block halving. Reason: Market buy support is stronger than I originally anticipated.

Well I hope you are right. Seeing the sell pressure for a week now, I am not sure the whales have enough money to keep this going on.
Since most of the whales are either mining companies or backed by them, they sure get a lot less income since the difficulty went so high.

With the month almost gone i see not of the expectations have been met.
To me that is very sad, since i really hoped for a 500 price to be achieved.
Well let's hope February will bring us good news.

no worries, the good months will come this year. this month has been good for people who were waiting to buy at sub $400 prices. we just need to wait till the chinese pumpers will start doing their work. that's when things start to get really interesting. have some patience.

Very good and even reasonable predictions. Can be liked by everyone who don't like and make castle in the air. My problem is only one: Where are based? From what analyse were jumped out? What kind of data are used to give such amounts? If given only because like to the OP (and even me too) have any kind of importance to be considering as reachable. I can do hundred of those and create hundred threads - and for sure one of those may be very near the true if it would be so many - but this yet doesn't mean that me, who have gave these data which were verified as true, am a good predictor. I wonder when it would be possible to have the possibility to have some data which can help to make based predictions about the bitcoin price...  Huh  I'm afraid never.

There has been no website as well that is based on facts but they just predict that the price of bitcoins may rise or decrease taking into account the china market or any news related to bitcoins.
Some say that when bitcoin was declared to not be banned, the price increased but that was also not a factual reason.

I believe that it's not possible to predict the prices but I just hope that bitcoins do keep growing and get popular as time passes by and I feel the first point might be a possible in the coming months.
