Nothing to do $1000 and mainstream adoption. When bitcoin hit $1000 no one would be ready to spend it. Everyone will hold it for the price of $2000. So, Only after a very big price like one million dollar per one bitcoin, after holding that price for many years bitcoin may go for main stream adoption. Till that bitcoin would be a investment.

I suspect that you were not around when the bitcoin price hit $1000? There were loads of people selling at that threshold, since most people saw that as the turning point. There

were a few guys hyping for the Moon, but most people anticipated a drop after the $1000 price was reached. It was a crazy time and nobody knew about the Willybot at the time.

I also think, we will see a price increase in 2016 after the halving, but it will not go to $1000 just based on that... Roll Eyes

I guess so, 2016 will be the year of bitcoin, the highest price may be achieved in 2016

Agreed with you, even I think that the prices of the bitcoins will be increased but it will take lot of time. its not 2016 but will get some more years to reach the new high.

I do not agree the long way for top. Already 2013 was the year of bitcoin. Now everybody is looking for the year 2016. One vital reason for that is 2nd halving is scheduled on 2016. When wide acceptation of bitcoin is on the way, bitcoin price will fly to moon. I expect price of one bitcoin would be 10k USD by 2016 end.

I am very optimistic that the bitcoin price in 2016 will increase.
In the july of 2016 the block reward will be deducted by 50% (from 25BTC to 12.5BTC)
And i am very curious to know if the bitcoin price will be increased or decreased?

yeah, it feels like every year we are hearing the same news over and over. the only thing that changes is the price prediction which is always a couple of hundred dollars above the current price for the next year.
funny thing is you sometimes encounter those news like on CoinDesk if you are searching for something about the price on google.

but this is the first time that I kind of agree with all those news and think that next year we are finally going to see some higher prices for a change.

People are optimistic but are biased by their own financial wants. I can't see bitcoin going to the moon any time soon as its been pretty slow for news and adoption over the past year but lets give it a few years before we make any more predictions about when The Year of Bitcoin is going to be.

If you haven't got patience I think you're going to be dissapointed. The internet didn't become what it is today overnight. It takes years and bitcoin might even take longer to break into the mainstream.

yes I know it all takes a long process, but if you know when bitcoin reached $1000 it was fast enough.
yeah i just wish and hope this happens, of course everyone wants it faster Grin

as i know that this is just prediction, iam not sure if 216 is the year of the bitcoin, everybody always said that next year is the year of bitcoin, i think it needs 5 years or maybe 6 years bitcoin to break through especially in mainstream addoption, all we have to do just keep using bitcoin and spread them to evryone you meet, i wish bitcoin's going to the moon as soon as possible

I am very curious to know why.... Really. Why do you think this (the sentence with bold)? Have any analyse or fact that make you believe this or is only intuition? Or something else?

2015 isn't ended yet, who know what surprise it may unveil, remember that the 1200 peak was reached in 1 two week, and started late in november

everything is still possible, s spike to 1k is certainly possible even now that only 3 months are left

Yes you are right, everything is possible but it's not quite probable to have any crazy movements until the end of the year.

I really think that the block size debate needs to be solved before we see any huge price increase. Since this won't be solved until the next workshop in Hong Kong which takes place in early December, this makes me think that the end of the year will be quite calm.
