Yes, 2016 will be the year of bitcoins. Like many days ago the price of bitcoin starting increase so high up to $450++ and i hope it will keep increase until $500.

I think some miner will sell his hardware and buying bitcoin as investment, after halving im not sure bitcoin mining can take profit, it's very hard to reach ROI

The difficulty will keep on rising even after the halving. The new miners will be more efficient. It is profitable in high difficulty.

Apart from that public will have confidence in the entire technology and more people will want to own part of the cryptocurrency. This will contribute to driving not only the adoption but also the price of Bitcoin up.
The reason 2016 looks set to be different is that bitcoin's price is likely to be driven in large part by similar factors to a traditional fiat currency, following the age-old principles of supply and demand

I think the halving will not reduce the difficulty as the more efficient miners will come to the market soon.

I fear that if it does not happen. many people would be disappointed and sell all their bitcoin. consequently the price of bitcoin be down dramatically, so it's better to stay calm and do not panic buying. I hope it happens

It will be a good year for Bitcoin in 2016. But I hope later that Bitcoin will be more popular and more used by people in the future.
I think the value will also rise soon. Bit if it rising it will rise very slowly I think. But we can never know what can happen in the future.

how do you know if this is the year of bitcoin. What fennel something special from bitcoin? I think the year 2016. not as good as 2013 years ago. we'll see in the middle of the year.

2016 is the year of adoption, halving and block size increase. So I think the price will rise quite a lot.

for newcomers 2015 was indeed a decent year to enter the market. i am quite sure that only a very few of these people have been holding their coins till now. they get way too excited when the price goes up and sell as result. they hope they will be able to buy back in at lower price levels, but the price kept going up. they probably bought back at a premium.
