It's good to see how Bitcoin debit cards market is developing. There are more and more these cards each day and the service is constantly improving. At the moment I'm using Xapo and I'm very satisfied.
I wonder if the time has come to launch the Bitcoin credit card. This would be a big step forward in another Bitcoin convenience.

Not sure how that would work since the card converts btc to fiat on the fly and credit would mean they have a reserve of btc to swap to themselves for cash :p wouldnt make much sense :p

Now when the stores start to actually accept btc there will be loads and loads of companies surely ready to give BTC credit.  (yes some do, but pretty much is only online).  Take it ez brother. I understood what you meant btw just had to respond Smiley

Hey guys, I really like www.cryptopay.win
Since this thread was first started they seemed to have made a lot of improvements, like adding a virtual card and free shipping worldwide now and low commissions.. You should give them a try.

I am just in here to tell you guys that Fuck Xapo

I had been using them for a while just to be stuck with another bullshit wait. Bitcoins been locked for 3rd day now and I am most likely going to have to wait another 3 weeks and 20% price drop before I get them, just like last time. I am going to try wirexapp or advcash next but for meanwhile stick to Moneygram swaps. You can read about my xapo transaction reviews in the card thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16776377

I STRONGLY ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO ORDER THIS CARD AND STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICES!!! IF YOUR BITCOINS GET LOCKED BECAUSE OF UNFORESEEN ISSUES YOU WILL BE STUCK WAITING ON THEM FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES FOR CHICKENS TO HATCH!

By the way I really think that their cancelled transactions are pushed through manually whenever they feel like, that is the only reason why I would see how transaction that was done 15 seconds later got positive confirmation while the denied bigger one which was initiated before other stays pending.

Currently, I think that the card that has the nearest price to the market, is the named of coinsbank.
You have to look at the price on their market, and cut 0.5%
It is good online and through POSs. (it isn't cheap on ATM)

they charge fee of $9.95 to withdraw cash by ATM? Shocked

I tried to find legal terms on their site, but couldn’t find them. Have you seen them? And what is the card provider for No-name Limited cards, as for the other card types it is mentioned that the card provider is Wave Crest Holdings Limited. I also tried to find information about the ability to withdraw funds: someone wrote on another forum “that users can only withdraw 75%” while the other wrote “90% can be used”. Does anybody know where this information can be found? Thanks

thanks for answers Wink
Maybe someone could tell if there is a backup card provider for Europe that is not WaveCrest, as nearly all cards reviewed here are issued by this service. Just in case not to have difficulties when WaveCrest services are temporarily unavailable.
Thanks in advance

I was wondering about technical side of a question. any bitcoin card is a fiat card, as you can’t store bitcoins on the plastic card. So what does it mean to link bitcoins to the card. what the balance of the card will be if you try to check it at an ATM?

Since Xapo exchanges bitcoins "on the fly" and sent fiat to the card only when you make a purchase, the card balance (fiat) will always be zero.

Thanks for your replies guys Wink unfortunately Shift cards are only available for USA members.
wirexapp.com 5 % buy/sell difference is a little too high I think comparing with other services rates. I was reading about xapo card and there is one strange thing occured: “The Xapo Debit Card is not a pre-paid card, so you do not need to pre-load cards with cash to make purchases.”; “If you transact using the card, funds will be withdrawn from your Xapo Bitcoin Wallet in bitcoins, and the merchant will receive payment in their own currency”.
My question is how xapo keeps your card balance account in fiat steady as the total sum of bitcoins in your bitcoin wallet bounce every moment due to the bitcoin price change?

They exchange your bitcoins "on the fly" when you make a purchase.

Wagecan- needs review

Shift Payments- needs review

Spectrocoin- needs review

Can help some with "Wagecan"

First some corrections on the chart.
*Virtual: your chart says they do not, they do
*USA Availability: your chart says they do not, they do
*MasterCard/VISA: your chart says Visa, they do MasterCards
*Branded card: your chats says they do not, but they have a white label program

Now it would be accurate to say they DID. In October they suspended all loading of cards. And no longer will sell new cards. And all users with current active cards are under threat of having their cads turned off on November 7th. They say this is about regulatory compliance, and there is a law that is now gong into effect that they would soon fall under. But, they should have known that law was coming for over a year, so if that is what this is they waited until the last sec.

However, no one knows right now if they will ever issue new cards, or if the old ones will stay on. Will update on the 7th when we know.

It will be a shame if this is the end of them, because aside from the up to 2 biz days to load to the card: up until last month I had nothing but good things to say about them. And if you planed ahead the 2 days could work in your favor because they always honored your sell price and were pro active in telling you if a bank holiday would make loads take longer, or you may want to top up before one started.

So for now it is wait and see what happens.

@wirexapp.com

Conversion rate October 29.2016 - 13.20 Madrid time.

Load 20 Euros - WIREXAPP rate is 0.032773

Kraken rate at the moment 1 BTC - 640 Euros

Fee is 0.97472 Euros per 20 Euros loading.

So its almost 5%

Hi everyone! I’m a newbie in the bitcoin world and I’m trying to find the best solution of bitcoin withdrawal to prepaid card in Europe. I’ve read  many positive reviews of coinsbank.com (former bit-x.com) solution. But I just don't understand why. The fees are enormous and FX rate is one of the highest (except of Named White Card. But it costs 99.95 USD!). The hidden fees of bitcoin buy/sell price difference are also very important in making the final decision.
Please, need your help ppl.

Are there any cards with cashback yet? I saw a bitcoin debit card That had a .6% cashback, but can't seem to find it again.
But if they have that good of a cashback program then expect other terms of service are not that good.
After all you are the one who will be paying for your cashback.
People are sometimes baited by cashback but what the point in cashback if card operators will charge you for everything else?

Don't they get paid when we use the card from the merchants that get charged from visa or mastercard??? I don't know, I just assumed that's how they make money.
