Well OP doesn't quite write in that way again, but their posts isn't still good enough to rank up for plethora of reasons.
Even if the OP improve his post quality I don't think the OP will rank up if he those not change the section he is posting, most of his posts are in altcoin discussions which we all know that the section is for spammers, people don't really give merit in the section because you can't really find quality posts there. It's kind of suprising that a user to be on the forum since 2017 with just 13 merits, with kind of activies the OP is having. The only solution I have for the OP now is to increase the quality of his posts and change the section that he frequently post, you can go on research and read so that you can improve in your post.

I joined long time back on 2017. still member. i am really ashamed about it.I want to increase to legendary. please help what should i do?

This is bitcointalk and not bounty or altcoins talk where you consistently post on bounties, am not saying you can't get merits there as well but where the attention is needed for the main purpose of the forum is on bitcoin talks and you should know they are apparently the first two boards you will first discover on the forum before others, try to study and get improved with knowledge about bitcoin and the forum itself, present a quality post that has meaning and taughts, be consistent on the forum, and do this for some time and check back if you wouldn't have make progress in rank, but with this kind of post you just made on this thread is the type that does not attract merit and often refers to as low quality post.

I don't know how I missed this thread,
You prolly missed it because it was posted in the beginners and help board, and i've read you say a couple of times that you have this board on your list of ignore boards, or have you unignored this board?
I didn't look at anything more recent, so I don't know if OP still writes as though he's texting,

Nearly 2 years inactive and many of your posts that are also not involved in the quality discussion make you difficult to get merit.
Improve the quality of posts, there are several veterans member who are ready to review posts and you will get merit if it is feasible.
I don't know how I missed this thread, but I stumbled across it while doing a post history review for a member.  OP is on my ignore list, which I haven't added to in quite some time, so that sparked a suspicion in me that he's a lousy poster--and after taking a look at some of his older posts, I found ones like these:

Patience yes no 1, sometimes i worry about why i sold sia.. We will see
I got ur idea , thanks

I didn't look at anything more recent, so I don't know if OP still writes as though he's texting, but if he's seriously asking why he hasn't ranked up....c'mon, bro.  It's obvious you missed the boat in the time you had before the merit system came about, plus you're basically a shitposter.  Question answered.

From your post history, you were busy with bounty  and alternative cryptocurrencies making shit post. But that is not too late you can still make if only you are ready to learn. What you have to do now is to read other people quality posts and make comments if you understand what the poster said. Make quality contributions and educate users then merits will come to you. Everything needs process, The result will depend on what kind of process you are in.
The process also will depend on the learning and the understanding to follow up the learning.
It can be easy for those who care able to learn and then implement what they have been learning.
but this will be very dififult to rank up for those who are only asking, and getting advice, but no following up as well.
Here, see your post history, there are many one-line post, or non-constructive posts., I think that you need to learn how to improve your posts, just focus on how to make them by seeing other members' histories that can earn merits here. The merit will always be there if your psot is worthy, constructive, informative, and also good enough. Never be ashamed or give up when eveyrtime posting but not getting any merits. You need to improve again your posts.
Then, actually yo can also search for the certain topics that may give you merits.

Base on the forum rules, need to make a quality post or share a relevant information that's contribute the forum, while getting merits to rank up, not longer post activity to rank up as of back 2017.
That's what we should follow which is the forum rules. Op may also be not active in joining discussions that's why op didn't rank up. Even if you didn't make high quality post you can still earn merit to rank up. There is another reason why forum users who joined 2017 or 2018 didn't ranked up is because they are joining bounty campaigns which is not what you should do to earn merit. Try checking lower ranks and see the date they register their account and you'll see the same situation as OP.

As forum users, we don't expect such questions from you who joined in 2017. I joined the same year and the rank is Legendary today. And earned merits are more than Legendary. So it's all about your contribution. Your rank depends on how you contribute to the forum. The forum isn't like before just making a post will rank you up. No one can help you except you.

Don't be ashamed,  you can grow if truly you really want to grow. It is all about interest and portion to learn. If growing is your problem try to develop yourself,  learn bitcoin and you will grow. If you don't do anything about you developing yourself then you will remain stagnant.

Your are right about being ashamed. I know how long I stayed as Full member before attaining senior member rank some days ago. I took it in good faith but gradually I ranked up. I hope to rank up more and am improving on my posts by spending more time in the forum and reading more of what others post. You have to do so too if you want to rank up. Nobody will award you merit if you do not improve. Your legendary aim is a very long journey.

Your number of activities is already a lot, which is 686. So I think to become legendary you just need to work harder to collect merits while waiting for your number of activities to be enough. because some of the people on the forum have received Merit up to almost 1000. but unfortunately their activity is still very small. and not even enough to just become a full member. And unfortunately they can't get the amount of activity fast. because it only increases every 14 days with a total of 14 activities (if I'm not reading it wrong). And keep in mind that the amount of activity I think is very important. because the amount of activity can not be accelerated.
different from Merit which can be obtained faster if we continue to contribute in making useful posts.
so all you need to do is focus on making useful posts on this forum. and Merits will come to you. Considering that you are a long time member of this forum, then I believe with the experience and knowledge you already have you can easily collect Merit if you work a little harder.

Hard work, good constructive posts, being helpful to others on the forum, being polite & friendly. It’s tough for somebody to rank up since the merit system was implemented. It’s very possible though, others have joined since then & become some of the most respected members on the forum.

Get involved in conversations, it will come when you stop being desperate & chasing it.

Yes exactly mate we have the same thought but in OP's case as we visit his profile and recent post what we see is that he is posting from altcoins bouties which he can not receive any single merit out there it because mostly in replies of all topics out there are useless to the forum. And OP what I said to you That it's better to do or improve your post technique because you are not yet late to rank up.

Thanks for letting some points. On my job also , seniors telling me that your work is not neat and poor presentation. From today onwards I try my best to present my knowledge in an attractive way.
Take it as a constructive criticism and not on a negative way. That's the way for you to increase your rank.

You want to present your knowledge; you might want to make research as always. What I did when I was a newbie is I'm watching documentaries with regards to cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular on YouTube. There are some ways for you to learn. There's information on the internet already and what you only need to do is to make a quick search.

You are ashamed on your rank to activity ratio right now but are you thinking the feeling of those users who have 1000 activity already and yet they are still newbie? Cheesy

Compared to others, I've attained slow growth too but the case is different if I change that comparison to you at OP. The reasons is just simple, you haven't doneich for the for but to yourself. Your slow progress doesn't just stem from the places you've made posts but also, most of your posts from your early days in the for and up to some significant time are one liners. Some are even a single word like
Quote
Sure
Quote
Yes
Good enough, the activities have been kind with you as its got no discrimination unlike merot that most go to the quality posts and are more frequent on certain boards than others.

If you need to grow in ranks of the forum, you must first learn the ways to make contributions that carries a symmetric load and addresses or questions an issue.

Sorry to say but maybe it’s because you haven’t spent much time contributing helpful information to the forum. If you can do that I’m sure you’ll see more merits coming your way and ranking up will be easy since you’ve got plenty of activities already.

What is interesting to you may not necessarily be interesting to other users. I need to remind you, don't post just for merit as you should post your knowledge naturally without trying to fishing merit. About one thing, not many merit sources will pay attention to you [maybe ignoring you] if you only post for merit. Now the good thing is, you start to care about rank and merit.

While I hope you applied the advices replied by other members in here, may I ask on why so desperate into ranking up to Legendary? You could still use the forum even if you are in "Member" rank.

No one is going to humiliate you because of your forum rank though there are some limitations that you would encounter like some boards that you would not be able to post.

Be more natural on expressing and sharing your thoughts.
This has been said before but I do also believe that looking/reviewing posts that has given some merit will help you understand how users give merits to other users. There are various reasons. You can give merits subjectively (you just like)/ objectively (the post met your standards for objectively giving merit).
