In a meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai, Kevin Durant reiterated his trade request and informed Tsai that Tsai needs to choose between Durant or the pairing of general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash.
So, how is KD going to get a coach fired who, he himself handpicked? haha. I guess he's done that before.
.
It's quite hilarious too. But I think his reasons are understandable. With him not fully hitting his potentials due to injuries, I still see him as a start up fave for the season, but if Tsai has got his sights on new signings, he'd have to let Durant go as the player seems unhappy and does not have faith in the teams direction.

They have good roosters already and I think Durant is just upset because the drama happen to their organization, he is also been bashed about cannot lift out a team and he needs curry that's why he think about going on another title contender team to get higher chance to win a championship next season. And its good for Tsai to give what Durant wants because if they continue to keep him on the rooster then maybe they will get another upset next season.

If Kevin Durant wants to leave the team then Nets had better let him go by a nice trade.

They like that, but does the other team who will receive Durant are willing to grant the request of the Nets, seemed like the Nets demanded a lot in exchange of Durant, so the trade is not happening until now. Maybe one more season with the Nets, if Durant will prove himself not getting eliminated easily in the playoffs, then probably some teams will be interested in dealing with the Nets.

Or I guess he thinks he is above the coach and Sean Marks. And who will be the replacement if ever he has the 'power' again? The league is somewhat messed up with this star players that will command and will have a lot of demands and very vocal. Yes, we understand the players are the heart and soul of the team and they are the one the leading for the franchise to win a title. But I will never understand why he needs the owner to choose and issue ultimatum. Anyhow, we will see the fallout in the next couple of months.

If Kevin Durant wants to leave the team then Nets had better let him go by a nice trade. Being insistent on keeping him here would cause him to be more unhappy and this would be of no use for Nets in the coming season. Irving must be in the same situation now too but we are hearing about Durant the most these days. He has been likely to sign for Suns or Heat but I don't know if they are still interested in a trade for him. Both of those teams would be nice for him imo.
And that's literally the problem why the Nets are not letting him go yet. They want a good piece of the pie in exchange for a better one. That should be enough sacrifice for them but no teams had offered a good one yet.
I bet Kyrie is realizing how bad the situation will be if he talks too that's why he is just silent about this. Besides, it will be better for him if KD will be traded and he will be left as a Nets and try to be the leader which he had been dreaming of.
There's too much sacrifice in roleplayers the Heat and Suns will make if they will try to grab KD. Both will be crippled in chemistry terms.
I think they are willing but definitely there are looking for a bunch of good players in exchange of Durant. Just look at how many players the Wolves has to give up in order to get Rudy Gobert, 4 future draft picks, and 5 players if I'm not mistaken, so what more if the name is Kevin Durant? So the Nets are looking in that kind of trade, but so far no teams are willing to bite on that. So Durant might end up with the Nets still in the coming season. Or if he really wanted to go the lengths of sitting down and not playing because he feel he doesn't want to, then so be it.

I don’t know why KD feels he can issue ultimatums like this. He’s under contract. What is he going to do, sit out all season and not get paid while losing another year of his career at the end of his prime? The Nets are under no obligation to do anything for him. After the annoyance Kyrie has been though, this strategy of being a squeaking wheel might work. Seems like KD and Kyrie want to blow up the organization and move on. They moved quick.
The next Ben Simmons.  Cheesy What the hell happened to NBA letting these players talk like that as if they are the owners of one team?
This recklessness will not get them anywhere, he might be one of the best players in the league but that character will definitely be avoided for recruitment as it will fuel rebellious acts to other players. Who wants that kind of guy in the locker room?

Years ago he said he is like a sponge absorbing all the help he is getting from Coach Nash. Now that he is cornered and no team is offering better, he attacks the inside. I am starting to not like the way he acts. It's not even professional anymore, more like a child's tantrums.

So Durant now is higher than the owner of the Nets then to the point that he will issue ultimatums like this Cheesy.
Apparently hours after it has been released, the owner Joe Tsai twitted this: LINK
Quote
Our front office and coaching staff have my support. We will make decisions in the best interest of the Brooklyn Nets.

With this tweet, I think the Nets will do everything and will accept trade packages just to trade Durant. Durant is like a crybaby TBH and he thinks that he is the authority within the management. If the management are happier with letting Nash and Marks stay then just trade KD and it's done. It's so disrespectful that you are under a contract with a team and yet, you will make them decide which of you will let you stay.

I already read this in my twitter feed and yeah, that is disrespectful for KD to let the owners chose between him and Kyrie over Nash and Sean Marks.

And if I'm not mistaken he has his hands on firing the previous coach Atkinson who also have build a good rapport with the Nets players and when him and Kyrie enters the franchise, they fuck everything up.

I read an article recently about the GSW management interview regarding Draymond Green possible trade since GSW has a lot to handle in there plate while Green is demanding a max contractthat will last up to 10yrs. The management is considering Green age will not give them the best benefit later on if they allow his request. They are looking for potential trade with Aaron Gordon since Gordon is still young and has a lotof room for improvement. Is this unfair to Green once this trade proceed?
I believe 10 years on a contract is a long time for Draymond Green, despite him being an important player for the Warriors I don't know if that would be worth the risk, despite he is already 32 years old.

But weren't there rumors that Green would sign a 5-year contract with Warriors?

Teams aren't even allowed to offer contracts up to that length.  I don't know where they read that, but I would immediately stop reading that publication because they don't know what they are talking about.  The max contract you can extend someone is 5 years and in some cases only 4 years.

Maybe he's replicating what harden do so that the Nets will be force to trade him because of this bullshit team. Maybe they need to restructure this side and create rules that if a player sign a contract he need to finish it since many stars abuse this and destroy the team rooster as well as the chemistry because of the drama created by this spoiled stars.

It is neither unfair nor disrespectful if the GSW board decides to let go of Draymond. He may be an important piece to their multiple titles but he is still not a franchise player or someone to build around. He couldn't do much when Steph and Klay were still out in the past three seasons so that max contract he's asking is too much for a player his caliber. The best GSW could do is to retire his number once his service to the team is over.

If the Nets get a full year out of kyrie and Durant, along with having Seth outside cam Thomas who can build on a promising rookie year.  Combine that if Ben Simmons can give them anything, don't kid yourself this team will be a tough out for anyone.  If no one moves this isn't rebuilding they will be one of the favorites to make it to the finals.

They are a good team and a top contender for a championship if they keep that team, but only in paper. They were top contender as well in paper last year. They are pegged to win it all, but look what happened. Too much drama with their superstars. The problem is not their skills, but their attitudes. It seems that nets netted the most problematic players in NBA.

If only the team could control their superstars, they could easily win the conference with all the talents that they have. Ben simmons have been sitting for two years now. I still do not know if he has real injury or all just excuses. Hopefully he plays this season and do outside shots because they showed him practicing his shots. Irving is very lethal in the court, only if he could just focus on being a professional basketball player and avoid mixing personal problems with his profession. If the management can fix this problems, they are great help for Durant. Maybe we can see how good they really are in the court, not just in paper.

Why would the Nets trade Irving straight up for Westbrook.  At this point in theor careers Irving is way better than Westbrook.  Rolling out there with Irving and Durant is theor best option if they aren't getting tons of youth and draft picks back for either of them.  In no world would they straight up trade Irving for russ.

Russell Westbrook's problem is inconsistency.
Kyrie Irving's problem is his pride and arrogance.

Who do you think will be a big help in the long run? Who do you think can be changed?

When Kyrie Irving goes crazy again, he is willing to give up more games just because he doesn't want to play, simple as that. He didn't realize that every of his absence is a big loss for the Nets as he's one of the key players there. Even the management and coach can't even make Irving soft once he rants on something. Irving is also willing not to get paid for his missed games. That's how unreachable his pride is.

About Russell Westbrook, his inconsistency still has a chance to be changed. He's not a ball hogger anymore and that proves when he played on Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers. It's just that his usual playing form was not the same anymore during his prime. But he is trying to get back on his usual. He is also not injury-prone and always present in their game. Still a good part of the roster or even for a bench.

But my comparison is not really a big deal since, in the first place, I doubt an Irving-Westbrook exchange will happen between the Lakers and Nets.

Right, doesn't make sense for any team to sign a 10 year contract in this era.

His contract will end 2022-2023, this upcoming season, and he shows intention that he wants a max extension worth $160++ M. The Warriors already paid a league record of like $300++ M on luxury taxes last season, and if they are going to sign Green next season, it will balloon to the $400++ M, and that is already too steep. And if the owner is not willing, then Green might have to be traded as they are not willing to give him his contract because of that factor and Draymond's age as well.

Nets will not be better if they force KD and Irving to stay, and if they are not getting good enough offers then they should accept whatever they can get. They traded Harden for Simmons, and that was a horrible trade as well, it was a shock to the whole world and Sixers were expected to be a championship contender team while Nets sucked. So long story short, if they can make that kind of deal, then they could get some other method as well.

Westbrook is a big trouble for Lakers and they couldn't find a way to get rid of him, so what Nets could do is give them Irving if Lebron is fine with it, and get some picks or smaller players with him as well to make it work. Suns and Durant is a big question, I still don't know how that could be done.
