I see Kobe on him and he really improve thru this season. Their duo together with brown really improve Celtics and their actions not to trade their young cores is really give them good result today and for sure they have huge chance to take this season out on GSW and the game 4 will be another exciting chapter to see. But also knowing Warriors they became more better team once they are defeated and it just Wiggins and Klay is not consistent today and Curry only make them alive this game maybe in next game they are in full revenge mode that's why we can provably see more exciting head to head match between Celtics.
You too?  Wink
He is not that far anymore, as I said in my previous posts, this kid just needs to stay confident with his game. Sometimes, he loses it and that's why the team is being dragged by it. Thankfully, many players on the Celtics team know how to step up their game and the leadership of Marcus Smart might have something to contribute to that.
Even though he had a bad Game 1 and 2 on the offensive side, he might get that MVP if the Celtics will be able to snatch this from the former champions. Because he didn't stop at just scoring, he did assists and rebounds to help.

Well, 2 of the best young players in the NBA today who admires Kobe and be like him with his mamba mentality is Jayson Tatum and Devin Booker.
But, I'll have to say Tatum is a bit better than Booker at this point of time.
Just like what you said he never stop at just scoring. Remember in Finals game 1, he was shooting 3-17fg but still managed to contribute in a different way with his 13 assist and limiting his TO to just 2 to somehow help the team secure the game 1 win on the road.
Right, Tatum and Booker will be the new face of NBA when stars like Lebron and Durant retire. The advantage of Tatum is that he has developed himself, but Booker remains just a scorer for now.. Anyhow, the series is still very unpredictable, it can still go 50/50. The lead is not that comfortable that a comeback is not possible. Maybe if Celtics will win another game. But if Warriors returns the favor and steal one, it will go down to the best of 3 match.
Booker will if he will be consistent in the coming seasons, Tatum on the other hand will surely be the face sooner because he is really a playmaker. He doesn't let any chances pass by without doing his best either if it's in offensive or defensive because he will really make sure that he will be there to help the team achieve their goal. He is more like Kobe than Booker because Booker was left doing the offensive game because he was too used to have CP3 on his side doing all the arrangement to the team.
Now, the series is again tied 2-2 because the Warriors have also bounced back after the defeat in Game 3. Next game they will back at Chase Center where they have the most advantage but it's still risky because the Celtics have also proved a point that they can still win even if it's not their home.

I guess we have been praising him and even compare him to Kobe in this thread so I'm not surprised. And yes, it will be an accomplishment for him at this young age to win the NBA trophy and then the Finals MVP. He has improved in defense as well. He lock down Durant in the first round, we haven't seen Durant having difficulty to execute his jump shots and Tatum was part of that big defensive plays and swept the Nets.

Why not? Jayson Tatum deserved to be praised because of his improvements and the way he played since the playoffs has begun until the whole Celtics squad reached the Finals. Although it's not him who had the most work that's why they achieved the position they are now on but he's been so vital in the team's success no matter if it's offense or defense, he can be reliable. At 24, he can be the Finals MVP too though Jaylen Brown is also very compitent to get that said title.

The series is tied 2-2 now. This was really a critical game for both teams as this would have been the beginning of a bad period for Warriors if Celtics had won this. Especially Warriors' last quarter performance was very decisive about this win by a ten-point gap. I think that Celtics still had a really solid game though. When it comes to the performances, Steph Curry showed a superb performance undoubtedly. He scored 43 points which must be his best performance lately. His contribution was very important for the team to win in this one.

Finally the Warriors get home court advantage back. When it was announced who the 2 teams were, I thought Golden State was gonna sweep Boston, but damn Boston has played well. It's a dogfight but Golden State is in the drivers seat.

That was the most prediction by most people back then but Boston Celtics erased the doubts of everyone. Others even say that the Celtics are just an easy team to beat for the Warriors. I don't want to go with everyone's flow and put my bet instead on the Boston Celtics as an underdog.

Although it's still early to say that the Celtics can upset the Warriors, what matters here is, that there's a chance.

Warriors as an experienced team won't just allow the Celtics to make their championship this year. It will be effort vs. effort.

It was a very tense game, but the Celtics couldn't handle Curry. As a result, Curry showed another great performance scoring 43 points, including 14 points in the 3rd quarter, and the  Warriors still managed to tie the series. So the intrigue still remains in this series, and it looks like the winner will be determined only in Game 7.
One of the best performances from number 30. The most tweet we could see today. Wardell.
Yeah, game 7 is probable. I now lost my bet for a 4-1 for either team but it gets entertaining this way so I'll take it.  Grin

High-level offensive mode from Steph Curry because his teammates are having a rough time shooting. The second-best player is Andrew Wiggins who had been consistent with his games. Actually, he stepped it up one more time by collecting 16 rebounds which is his career-best.
Now Boston Celtics have a lot to talk about. How they will answer back if it is at the Warriors' home?

Boston needs to find ways to adjust to how the Warriors are playing right now, still unpredictable game 5 even the home court

advantage is now back with the Warriors, what we are witnessing in these NBA finals, both teams are doing a great job, adjustments

over adjustments, who will win the game 5 will have a much closer chance to win the title. Warriors will be expected to play another

great game not to allow in missing again the home court advantage.

I wouldn't say they are in the driver seat but they definately have the series back in their hands.  All tied up and just won the last game with 2 of the next 3 at their home court should have the Celtics on their heels but as we've seen Celtics can win anywhere.  Should be an epic game 5.  I only hope this series goes the full 7.

Boston defends very well, but sometimes they get so stuck on offense that no one wants to take responsibility. Tatum was absent in the final quarter. Others avoided picking the ball. The Warriors win was inevitable when Curry played like a beast.
I think the winner of the 5th match will be the champion. Boston may have missed a great opportunity.

Curry was a decider last night, and break is back
now, IMO, Warriors are much closer to getting a title, than Celtics

series from 94:90 to 94:100 was a deciding moment on this match, and it could be seen as turning down on first match, when Boston had similar series in last quarter to win first break in this series, nevertheless, matches are great and real finals

Steph and Wiggins both had awesome games. I would’ve liked to have seen Wiggins be a little bit more aggressive on offense, but his shots weren’t falling so he was passing a lot. Watching him and Draymond refuse to shoot the ball for a while in the second half had me thinking they were doomed. Steph stepped up though. I’d like to see more shooting from Draymond and Wiggins though, and a higher efficiency from Klay. They brought it in that fourth quarter. I wonder if they figured something out or just got some shots to fall.

It seems in this finals we are looking for the best and exciting plays from the both team and we all know that celtics is the strongest and tougher team with the players in them brown, Tatum, white and all members of this team maybe this game will end up in the game 7 and if that will happen for sure NBA will get more money,  about the 3-1 lead if this gonna happen I think it's a big pressure to the warriors team but for sure they can tie the series or even get the champion .

At some point in today's match, I thought Boston can get the 3-1 lead since most the players of Warriors lost their edge, especially in 1st half of the game while Brown and Tatum have the best time of their life on shooting relentless accurate shot. Curry just manage to stop the bleeding and literally carry his teammates to get this win. His 3points and aggressive attack inside made this win possible. I just want to comment about the bad performance of Wiggins in this game both offensive and defensive. He committed a lot of turnovers that converted to Boston score that's why they are having a hard time getting a huge lead in today's match.

The veteran Curry still hungry for another championship ring and will not give up easily this finals. I think they are already finished if they lose this game because it's so hard to turn around that deficit if you don't have the momentum.

A badly needed win for the Warriors. If not, it won't be at 50-50 anymore. A few team have recovered from a 3-1 deficit although I think Warriors could also do that, it would be best if this series goes to 2-2. More money for the NBA and more entertainment for us.  Grin

There are tons of other players as well, Doncic for example already made to the conference finals, without having any other superstar with him, how many people make it ot finals without much talent with them when they were that young? I am not saying none, of course some did, but it is not that common.

But, there is one more generation between booker/doncic/tatum, which would be the giannis age, that is like just a few years older, of course but I would say he has been doing more things for a longer period of time, and even already won a ring and mvp as well. So, I have to say that next stars are already known, and would be 30 by the time current ones retire.

Tatum got the "Mamba Mentality" because he really admires the late Kobe Bryant (RIP) and yeah he is becoming one of the new faces of the NBA already.
I like that, yeah I forgot about the Mamba mentality. If I remember correctly, we have already discussed Tatum being on Kobe's wing for a short amount of time teaching him a lot of things. I bet it will make Kobe happy to see him with a trophy at a young age. Well, even if not because this ain't over.
He already reached this far, and so do the Warriors, they have been gone and kicked out of the play-in tournament last year and now they are back in the Finals. So yes, all applaud for both teams.

No offense with Booker's fans but also, in my opinion, Tatum is the one who's closer to imitate Kobe.

With how he adjusts from a good scorer to a good defender now, that's simply saying that he is really serious, bringing out
from the shadow of his idol, he uses Kobe as his inspiration and he really doing everything to make him proud.

Right! Warriors can still tie it up and return home with much better confidence. Boston needs to push this up and not to allow
Warriors to bounce back and win a road game, they will have a much better position in winning the series with 3-1 lead.

The series is going to Boston now for next two games, that means Celtics have their home court advantage but they need to be very careful because they don't have any chance to make mistakes. They need to win both games to keep home court advantage. Now it's Tatum's turn, he can't play bad third game in a row. He needs to have some responsibility. Expecting a good defense from Celtics again.
Yeah, just 8 hours left and we will see game time again. I am excited.  Wink
I think the wall that is keeping Tatum from greatness is just experience. He needs more of it and I am glad they took Horford back because that guy has a lot of experience and could share it with him.
Then, confidence. He lacks it. Whenever Wiggins is in front of him, he soon finds a way to pass it to his teammates. He should try breaking Wiggins or put him in foul trouble if he can.
Despite of lacking out with that experience but still for Tatum overall performance or gameplay then its still really that impressive but sooner or later he would really be realizing on how to break those walls.
Tending to be that scared whenever he's been guarded too tough which there are times that he could handle it out but most of the time he would really be hesitate or in doubt on driving on the basket.
These are only small and inevitable kind of flaws yet each player would really be passing into these kind of situation but sooner or later time will come that he would really be able to overcome it.

Right, Tatum is really turning out to be the new star in the NBA with this kind of performance. It's the biggest and so far he is far from choking and has improved as far as passing to his open team mates. I don't know, but I'm not sure how confident the Warriors are entering Game 4. The pressure is on their side now and they have to find a way to motivate themselves and not let the Celtics take a huge lead because it's going to be hard  to overcome it in 3rd or 4th (although they are capable).
Tatum got the "Mamba Mentality" because he really admires the late Kobe Bryant (RIP) and yeah he is becoming one of the new faces of the NBA already.
Tatum has been the main scorer of the team in the playoffs but what's good in him is that, if he has a rough night he is still helping his team thru passing the ball thus, there are some games where he is getting more than 5 or sometimes 10 assists and this makes him more deadly because aside from his shooting, he can also pass and he is also a tall shooting guard compare to other shooting guards out there.

As for the Warriors, they have more experience than the Celtics so being down 2-1 isn't a surprise for then. Curry, Thompson, Green and Coach Kerr has been into this situation for many times already throughout their career so for sure, they will adjust easily with this one. I still believe that they will win Game 4 even though they are only 3-5 in the road but if they will lose again then their chances of winning the title will drop significantly.
