.....

2nd round possible match-up.

Celtics vs Bulks, which team do you think will be the favorite?
Bookies will probably have different odds per game depending on the latest developments in this series. I'm leaning towards Celtics advancing to the next round regardless of the lines. It will be a tall order for sure but I think they are a more complete team this season. Not to mention Tatum's emergence.

It was so obvious that Brooklyn Nets were going to be eliminated. They wouldn't stand a chance against this much powerful Celtics as their stars weren't playing very good. And Celtics finished their incomplete job last night by becoming victorious like 116-112 away. Durant barely started performing like himself in this game and scored 39 points. But Irving was still not impressive and he scored only 20 points. Seth Curry tried to help his team win by 23 points but they still lost like this. They didn't deserve to be in next round so congrats to Celtics!

Can't help but to laugh when I bump into these kind of discussions that the respective coaches of the favorite teams to win this season will be blamed after they lost and worse got swept in the series.

Folks, Steve Nash may have those mistakes but we cannot really blame him at all because even if he have those players players, he cannot really hold what the future brings upon just like Kevin Durant's injury early season and Harden forcing himself in the trade and they also have Irving who puts himself first before the team. Steve Nash cannot control those things, all of them had it coming for them that's why the Celtics made an easy way in the next round.
That's right. I believe Coach Nash did great to force the Brooklyn Nets to enter the playoffs even at how messed up their team is. From the Kyrie Irving drama to the Harden trade, and then he have the veterans who are always not able to play due to being old (kidding).  Grin Then there's Joe Harris injury.
He managed to make broken plays which is not an easy task. There was a time Patty Mills was the core of the play and then back to Kyrie when he is able to play the game due to Covid restrictions, and then there's the Harden moments when he was alone to shoulder the team without the other two stars.
I say he did great but he needs consistent players.

Congratulations to the Nets for being the only team to be swept in the first round of the 2021-2022 season. I thought it would be the Bulls but they did better Grin What do you think about Nash's performance as a coach in this series? I thought they had a decent squad to push the Celtics but it looks like he's been outplayed by Udoka.

Boston is just strong enough Nets. Nets don’t have reliable center to protect the hoof and at the same time get an offensive rebound unlike Boston with so strong Theis, Even only his presence will make attacker very uncomfortable. Nets is not that strong this year, They are just hype because of Durant and Irving duo but besides that, they are nothing. I’m excited on Milwaukee and Boston matchup!

Coaches actually have a huge impact on team losses and wins. If Steve Nash just put all necessary pieces on the court, it could've been resulted into a different outcome rather getting swept. Boston is one of the most talented team in the NBA today. But I know for sure that the Nets could've done better than that. Man, they have Dragic, Irving, Durant, and they have good supporting players. Boston just executed better than Nets both defensively and offensively.
I'm not gonna be surprised If Nash will separate ways with Brooklyn after this off season.

Tonight, Nets might be playing their last game in their series against Celtics. Because Celtics are already leading the series 3-0. This was rather unexpected for me to tell the truth. Because I would have expected a bigger challenge by Nets thanks to Irving and Durant. But these two star players haven't played very impressively in general. As they don't play like that when their team need them the most, they are close to be eliminated by 4-0 as a result. Nets are the favourite according to the odds but I've lost my faith in them.

It's clear that Boston will pass this series, but the Brooklyn Nets will win at least one game. Today, with the support of the audience, they play one last good game and carry the series back to Boston. If they can lock Tatum on offense, if Kyrie and KD shoot well, they win the match. Even if they lose, no one blames them because they didn't have big goals this season.

Well you got that right because the Boston have been successful of eliminating the Brooklyn Nets but unfortunately the Nets haven't won even 1 game because they got swept by the Celtics. There's no difference actually on the game 4 because Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart have been guarding the Nets duo heavily so that they cannot have a clean shot. KD replaced Drummond as the center but that didn't matter as well. Too bad for the Nets, they surely regretted what happened to their team in the regular season.

No need to regret but much better to use that experienced to improve their performance next season. The injuries and the dramas need to be

settled, the management are spending money on them but the outcome is not what both fans and the owners wanted to see. Sad to say

that for those who expect the Nets to win this year's title was ended. Celtics sticky defense really pay the prize, that kind of adjustment

in each team that they will be facing on their next series should be executed accordingly.

If they will be consistent like this and will be remain healthy throughout the whole conference then yes they can even go up to the Finals, I'm not going to doubt their talents because they have proved it already even to the end of regular season until now. Not gonna lie Tatum have stepped up and I think there's more he can give than that, from being a pure offensive player now turns also turns into a defensive player.

If this will be a sweep then they will be facing against the defending champion in the next round, the Milwaukee Bucks.

I think it's too early to say that the Celtics will be able to reach the final series. To be honest, I'm also surprised they could stop Durant and Irving so easily. However, I doubt they can stop Giannis and his teammates in the second round of the playoffs as easily. Even if they can somehow beat the Bucks, they'll most likely play either against the Heat or the 76ers in the Eastern Conference finals. Both teams can be insurmountable opponents for the Celtics.

I don’t think the Celtics have a chance against the Bucks… It is starting to seem like they’re going to finish the Nets off tonight though. I feel like with Ben Simmons not playing now, they’ve basically given up on this season. Instead of embracing this Ben Simmons narrative and trying to win 4 straight and go into the next round, they’re going to let him sit out and then have a nice excuse for why the team failed this year. I guess we’ll see if KD comes out to defend his legacy and if they do get the win then we can see how Ben’s back feels then… Something tells me he won’t be making an appearance this round no matter what happens.

We cannot say that unless the Celtics and the Bucks will face in the next round, it's true that the Bucks is really hard to dominate and defeat as they are the defending champion but I think we are already past from underestimating the Boston Celtics here. We now know how dedicated they are to win the series and against the Bucks is still a mystery on my side.

Ben Simmon is supposed to play today but AGAIN his doctor said that he woke up yesterday with his back sore again, the Nets is getting him ready to have his debut as he did practice with the team already. I really don't believe that Simmons is something worth it for the Nets, they should let him go as his history for leaving the team hanging can be traced when he was still young.

There's a lot of people and fans that is hoping for the Nets to be more competitive, their defense is not that strong but it is only proven when they got their first faceoff with the Celtics. Nobody has been looking that the Nets could be this poor until the playoffs begin and the Celtics have won in the 1st game until they got 4 consecutive wins without getting defeated.

Congratulations for the Boston Celtics for being the 1st team to advance the next round.

That's two consecutive year that the Nets failed, this time it's probably the worst, I think Nets should look for a new coach to handle a good team. I am disappointed with the result, I know the Nets have messed up their roster but they still have Durant and Irving, at least these two star players could compete and give some real fight on the Boston, but it didn't happen.

Personally I think this year just had to do with injures and a lack of spending time with each other. Kyrie was out for the majority of the season, Durant per usual was hurt at times then losing Harden and not getting Anything out of Ben Simmons. Playing another full season together I think they would be much better.

Agreed chi.  Their season has had a myriad of issues.  I mean obviously the missed time made a huge difference but the whole Harden debacle was I think the worst part of it.  If healthy next year (which is a huge if) they will be a top team no doubt.  They need a big wing and they need to not add guys who are hall of farmers but that are late in their career.

Let's wait for the news, there's certainly a news that will come out, maybe one of the two superstars will be traded or the coach will be fired. Nets and the Lakers were the favorites coming the regular season, but look where are they now, that really tells that it's very unpredictable, anything could happen.

They have all the time evaluating the roster and the coaching staff. For now, let's just enjoy the playoffs, bad news will ruin the fun, so hopefully, they'll not make an announcement soon. The Celtics is a bit scary, but I think the Heat will have an answer against them as they are a better defensive team.

2nd round possible match-up.

Celtics vs Bulks, which team do you think will be the favorite?

Honestly that series should be even money.  They are both strong teams and should be an excellent series.  I don't expect a quick series either way.  Until the Champs are knocked off I'd have to go with them even with Kris down.

Bucks. Giannis will again be different when it comes to difficult times. I don't see him working much because the Bulls may be an easy fight for them.
We witness it last year how he became as the master of paint attacks and even won the championship for all his hard work. Almost got injured with a hyperextended knee but he didn't budge and took the team to the top. That's all him while Middleton is being inconsistent on the offensive end.
Then there's Jrue when they badly need to defend someone, they call for him and provide good results.
Talents, Celtics have good ones but who is capable to guard Giannis?

Well I agree that lets just enjoy the games Smiley. Lets bet if we want to but not too much.

Now with regards to the Celtics Vs. Bucks match-up, I will go with Celtics with this. I believe that with how good the team is defensively, they can make a way to stop Giannis in the paint. I know that Robert Williams isn't 100% because of his injury but still they have 4 starters who are very good defensively. Add the fact that they have Tatum and Brown that can do the scoring.

Nets are doomed from the start when they are matched against the Boston Celtics but they fought very well until the end, though their playoffs journey this season was short, they can also make difference in the next season with no more delay or reasons for not able to play for their star players, both Kyrie and Ben Simmons. The Celtics need to wait a little longer since their potential opponent is not yet certain and it seems like whoever gonna win the series is not an easy opponent for them.

It's almost like they are resting at every attack the Nuggets make. It's not an error, they are just not on the same energy level as before but I think they will pour it all at their homecourt and get it done.
The Nuggets on the other hand should expect that. If they still want to continue the fight then they better be as explosive as they are here in Game 4.
I may try to bet for them if the handicap is fair.
Can you blame them though? I mean they were up 3-0 in the series and now they are up 3-1, that's good enough that they could take an active break during the game and not really push themselves.

If they won that would have been even sweater because they could have taken a long break until the second round starts, but at the same time we are talking about not tiring yourself out too much, these are playoffs and you need to stay fresh as well and taking a too long of a break compare to another team who could be on fire at that moment coming from a win could result with something worse. Hence, I believe 4-1 is a great result if they can make that happen, even 4-2 would be fine.

I think it's the absence of their core players in the season that made them inconsistent. When both Durant and Kyrie were out and Harden was leading them, they are playing better because there was a playmaker. A real play, ball rotation, leadership, but now it's all singular. I don't see this as faulty for Coach Nash, the players' injuries hit them badly, and then the trade.
I thought they were just as bad when Harden was in charge of the team while KD is out injured and Kyrie out due to vax issues. I also think Nets have some good ball handlers/playmakers in their squad like Patty Mills and Goran Dragic but weren't used as much. Bad team rotation I guess.

Meanwhile, Mitchell seems to be missing in game 5 as the Mavs crushed them in the first half.
You mean he might miss Game 6?
No. It means he was like non-existent during the first half.

He also didn't show up in the second half and ended up with only 9 points.
