The Celtics won by 5 points in OT. I thought this series would be easy for the Celtics, but Game 1 proved me wrong. The Pacers are giving their all; 7 players scored in double digits, with 3 of them scoring more than 20. The Pacers had 6 more field goals, but the Celtics had more free throws, with 24 compared to the Pacers' 9. The Pacers committed 23 fouls and had 21 turnovers. They need to work more on reducing their turnovers and fouls.
This is just game 1, and we've already seen how the Pacers are playing. It was a winnable game for them, but the Celtics got lucky with Brown's tough tying shot. In OT, the Celtics took over in the last two minutes and secured the win. That's fine—if the Pacers were able to come back from a 0-2 deficit before, I'm sure it's not hard for them to do it against the Celtics, even if they are the underdog.

Some thought this series would be easy for the Celtics, but the result of game 1 proved them wrong. We have a series here, and I'm sure we will see more entertaining action ahead.

I wouldn't say it's lucky though, I mean Brown could have a good 3 point percentage. But if he didn't make it, will be over for the Celtics in game 1. But yeah, this is just game one and it shows that even if the Boston is the top seed, the Pacers have been in two tough series already and they are well built for this kind of big games.

Pacers are still a big underdog in game 2, but there could be NBA bettors who might go with them ML for a huge upset next game.

It will be a entertaining series for sure and I'm seeing the Pacers giving the Celtics a run in this series.

I'm in the impression that Boston will take this big upset as Pacers almost take this game 1 in front of thier home crowd, though it's not a kind of luck it's more on taking the responsibility as we know that Brown is one of the leader of this squad, for the Pacers, they fell short during OT Haliburton's efforts almost been paid, but Celtics protects their home advantage.

Let see if how both teams will adjust this coming game 2, like you said after witnessing that thrilling game 1, for sure we will see more it's a series of adjustments for both squads.

Maybe luck doesn't play any factor on this game since we see how intense the game is. Its just Celtics experience is showing up especially when they are in crucial minutes that's why they claim the win for game 1. But its not easy task for them to defeat Pacers in this game since we know how big the problem they brought for Celtics.

Pacers would provably be the underdog on game 2 but for sure there would be a lot of bettor would bet on their side since they see how big their potential to defeat Celtics on next game. Also this will really be an entertaining series since both team is eager to advance on Finals since they want to achieve to get a possible championship on their franchise since this would be a great achievement they can get for their team and also for their careers.

I actually think tonight’s close game was good news for the Celtics. Indiana was going to come in and give it their all for game 1. Boston has a lot of injured players including Kristaps Porzingis who plays a decent sized role on the team. Holding off the Pacers while they have a great shooting night pretty much tells the tale that Boston wins this series quickly.

I was also expecting an easy series for Boston against the Pacers. But without Porzingis it'll be a hard for them because Indiana is very strong as well and who knows how many games they won in the regular season if Siakam was acquired pre-season.

Boston was leading but something was wrong with them in last quarter and it could be the reason why this team is yet to get their own first ring. Indiana was able to chase them and was actually winning before Jalen hit the 3 to force an OT. But pretty sure both teams will make adjustments for the next game.

It will not be an easy series for the Boston Celtics. I think Pacers will give everything they got in this series, Haliburton is going to be their leader and their roster is complete. Although as far as experience goes, the Celtics have the experience. Nevertheless, Pacers is not going to go away easily. Again, Haliburton is young and his mentality is very different.

He loves to trash talk as just what he did against the Knicks in their series. So you know that he is not going to back down from anyone, not even against the best team in the NBA. And this is a perfect chance for them to go into the finals after so many years so they will take this opportunity. And as we can see, they almost steal this one from Boston.

The Pacers have proven that they deserve to be in the Eastern Conference Finals, and that game was a testament to their ability to match the Celtics. They could have won game 1, as they were in control, but a few wrong plays allowed the Celtics to come back and tie the game. This series is going to be intense and could go to at least 6 games, so get ready for a possible game 7 because the Pacers aren't going anywhere.

By the way, who is interested in betting on the Pacers? Check out their betting odds to win the championship as it's very tempting. Currently, it's x40 in my book; check yours.

Boston Celtics will play the Indiana Pacers tonight.
Boston Celtics are the favorites in the East, I think they will win the first game without much difficulty, the team is well rested and ready for this game.
It will be a nice and enjoyable game.

Boston Celtics might have just survived a major disaster in game 1, after having multiple double digits lead, they were just about 8 seconds away from throwing the game away, or the better way to describe it would the Pacers very close to earning a win in game 1... I think the Celtics because complacent during those minutes, and it almost ended badly for them, Jaylen Brown had quite a number of big plays, like the 3 point bucket, a steal and a block in those final minute and OT to help Celtics avoid a loss. They sure would need to do better against this hungry Indiana Pacers roster.

The Celtics almost lost that one very important game, but that was supposed to be much more important for the Pacers. If you saw that Haliburton pre-celebrated silently when they were up 5 with seconds more left down the stretch, you could easily tell how important that game was for them to get the W. That was suppose to build momentum for the Pacers to move forward and increase their chances of winning this series. Also, to clear some doubts against them about their wins in 1st round and conference semis against an injury troubled teams.
I think the Celtics' experience just prevailed in the last seconds of the game. They tighten their defense, while the Pacers were getting too excited on getting their first conference finals win.
Now that the Celtics learned the Pacers are not an easy team to beat despite of all the critics against them for reaching the conference finals, I don't think they'll get too complacent moving forward.

While I don't think Denver's dynasty is over quite yet, I am appreciative that the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to get a chance to show that they're capable of being the best team in the NBA.  They have some work to do in my opinion with regards to how they run their offense and they need to grow a bit more in maturity, but they've got the most talented player in the NBA in Anthony Edwards.  I would have rather seen those two teams meet up in the Western Conference Finals, but I'm sure we'll be seeing them meet up in the playoffs again.  Denver just needs to strengthen their bench a little bit and they'll be back in the running.
I agree about Denver Nuggets developing other talents, they've been packed with bench players and they can't be used in crucial times. But of course, they need more playing time and they're not given that chance because they have reliable players that have to play during those times. It's unfortunate to see that their shooters don't have that good hand during that last game that they have. Because if they've been great in shooting, it was too easy for them but actually, it was too easy when they've been into the lead now that's the poison came and a pill that's hard to swallow by the entire team.

Yeah that was a crazy game but it wasn't ant who won them that game it was the other guys.  Naz Reid came up huge.  Jaden McDaniel had a quiet 23, and that putback by KAT on that offensive rebound was so clutch.  First time in history anyone has come back in the playoffs down by 15 or more.  Gonna male for a great wcf (which the NBA finals winner should come out of).
No doubt KAT shined on that game. And the solid defense against Jokic did also helped him not to have that scoring position.

It's so frustrating on the side of the Denver Nuggets when they're almost sure going to end the game with a lot of lead. Coming from 20 points lead to losing the game on that game 7.

 Undecided

That was really disappointing and you can see on the interview of coach Malone.

Michael Malone Upset at Reporter's Question After Nuggets Game 7 Loss to Wolves

But they need to move on now, at least they won a championship last season, so they just need to improve this team again. Probably it's also time for them to think of getting rid of players that are not so useful in the playoffs, Jokic and Murray will remain as they are the bread and butter of the team, but they should be sorrounded with great role players, so they'll time they'll not choke.
Well, anybody will be totally in disappointment with what happened. I agree that they still did great this season, after winning the last season's ring, they still made it far to the playoffs.

The sad truth there, it seems that the Nuggets only has three players.

Jokic, Murray and Gordon.

Only Jokic is the consistent amongst the 3, Murray had on/off performance, and Gordon wasn't able to contribute and stop ANT as well. Porter Jr, who average close to 20 points didn't get double digits in the majority of the game and his shooting is awful.

While the Wolves has a lot of players stepping up, like Gobert, although a liability in defense if he faces Jokic, he was big in the middle and even scored a lot in the last game. So with Naz Reid who played good defense on Jokic, while Alexander-Walker put Murray on lock mode. KAT is big if he is not in foul trouble and as former 3 point champion, he shoots from that range uncontested and makes it.

And when I looked at Porter Jr, number against the Wolves series, he just average 10.7 ppg and he scored single digits in 5/7 games, and with that huge contract, that is a dismal performance coming from him. He is a big for a shooting forward but was not able to take advantage of it.

But we should give credit to the Wolves defense though, they are the best and so they were not able to adjust as the rotation of big men against Jokic. They always have fresh body on him and it's not just Gobert who goes against Jokic.

Also there is a switch in game 7 or in the series wherein Murray will have to guard Towns and so KAT also had a field day taking that 1:1 and scored easily.

Yeah, Porter Jr was also their contributor but for the past games he didn't do that much.

Great defense against the Nuggets is their weakness. And that's where the Wolves are great, now we're going to see the first match of the conference finals.

The Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers, the crowd favorite of course the Celtics.

The 5 best defenses have been announced. Here is the All-defensive team of the year:

Bam Adebayo
Anthony Davis
Rudy Gobert (also Defensive Player of Year)
Herbert Jones
Victor Wembanyama (also Rookie of the Year)

I think it was a pretty good choice. The way they played in the regular season, they showed that they are the best defenders. Maybe Derrick White could have been in the top five, but he was picked in the second best five.

Nikola Jokic always has a problem and that problem is when he is so dominant in the teamwork but he is in a bad day in accuracy. Several times i see Denver Nuggets losing the games because the joker try so many shots and he fail a lot of them, clearly you cant complain about it because also the joker win for you so much games in alone plays made by him.

Perhaps he needs to shoot more in some games because they are down and his team mates are not making any shots. Like in game 7, he had missed a lot of 3 points, but suddenly make back to back because they are down.

Porter choke, can't make his jump shots and so is Murray who supposedly the second best option for them. And then Gordon wasn't able to contribute as well while the Wolves played great defense in game 7 and their big men dominating the boards with Gobert, KAT and Reid.

Jokic tries to get his teammates involved most of the time. He doesn't take a shot everytime he has the ball. Denver didn't lose their series because of Jokic at all. They lost because of the inconsistency of Murray and Porter IMO. Both can nail 3 pointers but went cold a lot in most of the games they lost. On top of that, Minnesota was the #1 defense in the league this year and after being down 20 in the 3rd, they showed everyone why they got that rank.

Agreed saying jokic is the reason they lose or lost is crazy work.  Take jokic off that team and they are a play in team that loses a first round series if they make it in.  With any game your stars take you there but it's always the other guys that need a great hmgame or 2 to take you over the top.  Look at ANT he had a terrible game but his teammates picked him up.  You'd say the same thing about ANT if they lost
