To be fair, when Nuggets got within less than 10 points, I believed that Nuggets were right about to turn the game around and make a come back as well so if I had a bet like that I would have cashed out early as well Cheesy. We have seen them come from 20 point behind and still win the game, which is why we should probably consider that it is not going to be all that easy.

I believe that Lakers did well on the very last minute to keep them at bay and not give the win away. Not that I believe Lakers would win the series, I think the series has been long over for a long time now and next game will be at Denver, with that famous altitude, and I believe that Denver will end up winning that game. It is so hard to stop Murray and Jokic together, and they are doing so well now.

The Pelicans look like they’re cooked. They’ve got to be tired of seeing Zion sit on the sidelines at the end of every season. The Miami Heat don’t look far behind them either. The Boston Celtics are giving it to them right now. The main show for the day is getting ready to begin. Will Denver sweep the King once again on their way to a title?
Pelicans knew they were done when Zion got injured, it's not just the end of the season though. Guy is always injured. Miami screwed with Butler out and Denver will sweep Lebron and AD tonight. Maybe next year we see Lebron and Steph together.

5 minutes left in the game and looks like the Lakers will survive for a game 5. Up 15 gonna be hard for Denver to comeback from.

The Lakers were just on tonight. They shot 8% better from the field than the Nuggets did and that was enough to get them the win tonight. Deangelo Russell had a great game and so did everyone on the Lakers pretty much. I have my doubts whether or not they’ll be able to put up similar numbers next game, but for LeBron’s legacy they came through tonight.

They started hot again just like in game 2, but this time, they make it sure that they are going to held on that lead. Good to see the D'Lo was able to get over that last game performance with 0 points, as he comes back with a big game and make it sure that they are not going to be sweep by the Nuggets.

Lebron's legacy will be great if he can manage to bring the team to another win and at least force a game 6.

OKC too strong for the Pelicans, complete team, SGA again lead OKC but Josh Giddey put on a show with 21 points.

LeBron saves his ass from those critics who are waiting for another sweep, they've got a good game shooting percentages which they really need to survive against the Nuggets, seems that they find that adjustments but winning one game won't conclude the series they need 3 more to take this and snatch it from the defending champ.

coming from 3-0 then win the series, if LeBron will manage to do this his legacy will then create a new one, he's breaking records from time to time and if ever he will win another title surely fans will praise him.

I really hope the Suns don’t lose today and get swept. After getting Durant and Beal, to go out with a sweep in the first round is beyond embarrassing. It shows that Ayton was a more important piece to this team’s championship run than they wanted to admit. On one hand I want to see my hometown team win, but on the other hand they don’t deserve it…

Well, Orlando proven most of us wrong about how they'll handle this series. Personally, I didn't even think that they'll be able to even the series after losing 2 straight on the road with a huge margin. But in game 3, they were able to come back and gave the the Cavaliers a dose of their own medicine and they continue it in game 4. If this is just about the home court advantage, it will be the Cavaliers that will win in the series but I think things are not gonna be the same in game 5 as the Magic have gained the momentum, so I expect them to play better on the road than first 2 games in the series.

Cavs and Magics series is the most close games since they almost have same stats with their regular season while they are the 4th and 5th in the playoffs ranking. There’s no clear dominant on both team but rather the one with home advantage usually win on this kind of series when playoffs.

I believe the last 3 games is crucial for both of them now that home court advantage will not gonna matter anymore since they both already knew how to beat each other so it’s already just a mind games on how they will counter each other for the last 3 games remaining.

But it’s surprising to see that they both beating each other with huge lead. Lol

Lebron's legacy will be great if he can manage to bring the team to another win and at least force a game 6.
Why not push a game 7? Grin

We like to see that but it's almost impossible. The Lakers winning one game might be the only game they can win. It's different when the game is played in Denver because the crowd will be fully supportive to the home team on a close out game. Denver can't afford to miss the opportunity to eliminate the Lakers because  if they'll give hope for another game, I'm afraid game 7 will happen.

Let's not be too hype with what the Lakers had done in game 4, after all, the series is still in 3-1
~
The Celtics almost did it last year when they are down 0-3 against the Heat. If Tatum didn't only got injured at the first minute of Game 7, they might be the first team who overcame a 0-3 deficit. They're just one win away, but an injury spoiled the possible finals match-up with the Nuggets, and the possible history.

Anyway, I predicted at the start of the playoffs that the Nuggets will use the *broom, broom* against the Lakers, but it seems like it wasn't the case. Nevertheless, I congratulate the Lakers, and the Laker fans out there, and even though I'm not a fan of either team, I believe that the Nuggets will finish this on their next game. It's good that in this game, Lebron and AD found the help they needed offensively since Reaves and Russell stepped up on offense. The problem with them especially with Russell is his consistency. Can he sustain it for 3 more games knowing that he didn't scored in Game 3? Lebron and AD are very productive all throughout the series, but them alone can't finish the job, and they need help from other players especially on offense.

Anyway, enough with the talk because the Nuggets will finish this in Game 5. The Nuggets are simply too strong for them, and I know many will agree on it.

Let's not be too hype with what the Lakers had done in game 4, after all, the series is still in 3-1 and based on wiki.

Quote
In the history of these leagues, teams that were down 3–1 in a series have come back to win the series 58 times; 14 times in MLB, 13 times in the NBA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_teams_to_overcome_3%E2%80%931_series_deficits

So the chance is still very slim.

D Lo was a difference maker here because if he struggled, then the swept might happen.  He had 21 points and had a decent shooting, that was a relief because it would be too bad if the Lakers will be swept again. Now they just have to win game 5 and then 6 to have a very exciting game 7, I hope the Lakers fans now will continue to believe as the Lakers are trying to make a history.

That's fact, and swept is inevitable with the way the OKC are playing. I thought they would struggle in the first round but they showed their dominance. Looking forward to a great 2nd round series, if it's vs Dallas would be better.

Whoa, the Lakers outscored the Nuggets inside the paint by a 20-point difference. They also dominated the defensive rebounds. But the thing is, the Nuggets have the home-court advantage in Game 5. That's a bit of a challenge. Rui needs to score in double figures as well if they want to replicate what LeBron did back in the Finals with the Cavs. LeBron and AD will surely be their main scorers; next is Reaves. However, D'lo is inconsistent, which is their problem. If he doesn't score 20+ points along with those three. They are most likely going to lose.
Exactly. Lakers don't get enough contribution from the players except Lebron and Davis. They surely need a lot from Rui, Reaves and D'Angelo. But it is nearly impossible that they can advance in the playoffs and surely not against Nuggets after this.

On the other hand I like the Orlando series. But it is also very hard to bet on after this point. I like to watch and follow the series but I don't think I will bet on it. Very hard to predict.

They also did in on both ends of the floor, played good defense in my opinion for this game. And even if the Nuggets were able to cut the lead to 7 points, they didn't have the meltdown that they have in the previous games.

Now the game goes back to Denver, really hard to see how the Lakers are going to win in the road here. As you have said, they need to be consistent, Rui is still the missing link in this series, I don't think he has scored double digits. Although you can say that he is guarding Jokic at times. At least 4 out of 5 of the starting Lakers did score 20+ or more and that is good enough for tonight.

Lakers have had the lead in every game of this series so far and have lost their steam in the 3rd quarter every game except tonight. I don't think Lakers can win 3 more and take the series. Teams that go 0-3 in the series are 0 and 150. No team has ever come back from 0-3.

After this win, things are still not as good as they could be for the Lakers because the probability of them winning the series has only increased from 0% to 4.6%. By the way, it's noteworthy that the Nuggets were the last team that was able to recover and win a series after a 1-3 deficit. That was in 2020, and they did it twice during that playoff run.

^ They won! But I cashed it out early, I got scared when the Nuggets made a short run so I made sure I get my profits even if it was just x2.06. It was supposed to be x2.39

That's still a win? Right? Grin

Anyway, that was some good game from the Lakers and we can see Jokic like there's no will to win. He is different.
Lebron James on the other hand had all the will to win that game. He is furious when there's a bad call, he gets mad when Coach Darvin Hamm didn't call the coach's challenge, and he is angry when their defense gets broken. That's the classic Lebron that I saw in Cleveland, so much energy and it felt to me like he was just 20+ years old.
All he needed was a bit of help from his teammates. DLo doing his normal three-point shooting night, Austin Reaves with his mid-range accurate shots, and Davis dominating the paint in rebounds and points. That's the recipe for a win!
A win is a win man. I'd much rather win 1 penny than lose 1 penny anytime.

^ I don’t think the Nuggets will be giving the Lakers anything. I think they want another sweep over LeBron to send a message. This will be an interesting game to watch though. I don’t think the Lakers win, but the thing to watch will be DeAngelo Russell and what sort of effort he brings to the table after seemingly checking out of the last game.

DLO is in hot topic again since fans speculating that this might be he last game for him wearing the Lakers uniform since he will be traded if they get sweep by Nuggets due to his inconsistency. This is really the issue of DLO and I guess he became a liability for Lakers because of that reason. He need to step up and help his team since  they need to win or else their organization will be in big shame again if the Nuggets will sweep them for second time around. This is really an  interesting match to watch since both will do all they can since they the defending champ want to leave some statement that they are great while Lakers want to recover since they don't want to put their team also Lebron's legacy in big mockery since lots of fans will doubt their capabilities  to win and maybe laugh at what they experience to Nuggets.

The Thunder have the feel of a college team and these young players are succeeding. They never gave the Pelicans a chance to hold the series at home. It's either a sweep or it's over in Game 5. Things are moving fast in the West. It looks like the series will end early in the first round. Thunder, TWolves and Nuggets are one win away. In the East, every team has won at least one game. The competition is different there.
