A little crazy that Anthony Edwards still thinks that Minnesota is going to win while they’re on the verge of being swept, but I like the confidence. Hopefully they can win at least one game to avoid embarrassment, but at this point I think we’re all ready to call the Finals between Dallas and Boston. Should be a good series.

Yeah, congratulations to Jaylen as well for winning the conference MVP. I thought that it's Jayson Tatum that will get it.
Tatum was the favorite to win but it was Brown who had a better contribution in the series, so he deserve that. Actually, like that as we can clearly see that these two best players of the team are having great games, which means the chemistry is really good.

However, just look at this reality.

1st round beat the Miami (less Butler)
2nd round beat the Cavaliers (less Mitchell)
ECF beat the Pacers ( less haliburton)..

Their journey really is quite easy, but can they beat a healthy team like the Dallas Mavericks?

Dallas is not that 100% healthy, Lively could be out and Luka is still limping and we can see that in the last game. But still he gave everything for a 3-0 lead. But we shouldn't take anything from Boston though, and that's why they have 4-1 score against Miami/Cavs and 4-0 against Haliburton.

Even if Butler/Mitchell/Haliburton is healthy, I think the Celtics will still continue to win that series but perhaps the score could be much closer and not almost a sweep.

Now they are just waiting for their opponents, and as what we are seeing, with the Mavs leading 3-0, this could be the first time for Luka to go and move in the finals and gave this franchise another chance to win a NBA title.

Now it is VEEEERY important for Dallas to get this game and sweep Wolves. Because games will be at 7th, and if by some magical way Wolves end up winning a few games, then Dallas would go to finals by playing more games while Boston rests, and that would eb a big difference maker, I do not see how they could do any better. The best way to move further would be just win this game and rest together with Boston until the series starts.

Plus that would be like a week long rest as well, would allow them to rest to full condition without a doubt, it is a lot of time. Of course NBA made the dates in case if any games goes to 7 game series, so it means that there is a big difference. Finals will be quite fun, Boston vs Dallas, a very good matchup.

Indiana Pacers - Boston Celtics series is over, Boston won the series 4-0 and became the champions of the East.
Boston is now waiting for its opponent to be determined. Their opponent will most likely be the Dallas Mavericks.

A clean sweep. Even though they won three of the four games in the last moments, they showed what a strong team they are. It's not easy to play right in the final moments of games. It takes experience and responsibility. There were mistakes from both sides at the end of this game too, but the Celtics made fewer mistakes.
Jaylen Brown was named MVP of the East. Tatum was also very good statistically in this series, he could've gotten the award. Boston will now rest for almost ten days. Porzingis will be back for the finals. They are ready to fight for the trophy.

Yes, and expected this to happen, Pacers really gave everything in this game, but without Haliburton it's going to be hard. And for sure Haliburton is very mad that the got injured and cannot help his team against the Celtics. Yes, even though Tatum is good in this series, but it was a correct call about Brown being the MVP of the East. He had that three point as well in the last 5 minutes of the game and he also played good defense with that great block. KP has recovered and expected to played in game 1 of the finals and as we might just be waiting for a imminent finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

This show that they are lacking with fire power against Celtics since they can't even do anything to get at least 1 game. But its still fine they already get a good experience with this situation they get since reaching on conference finals is not so easy. For sure they can maximize all their roster on next season then try their luck to compete again and possible to win a championship. Yes no doubt that Brown deserve that recognition since the guy is so consistent and contribute a lot for the win of Celtics. Now its exciting to see the match of Celtics and Mavs since both team are so hot this season so let see if we can see those injured players get back on finals since the game would be more fun to watch seeing them complete and increase more the level of their game since both of teams want to became a champion.
I don't think it's above firepower, it's more of the Celtics are the better team as they have the best record and only losses 1 games so far, from the first round to the Eastern conference finals. And given that the best player of the Pacers is out in game 3 and 4, it's just a matter of time for the Celtics to win and close out the series with their sweep. As for Brown winning, yes, I do agree, he deserves this MVP because he is very instrumental. If not for that corner three in the first game, the Pacers could have won it and this series might not be over.

I thought that Pacers is going to make it, that was so close and they're on the lead not until the last minute of the game.

I won't say "Poor Pacers" but instead, they did great. A young team with young talents that has a lot of full potential. Well done to the team and all of their staff for reaching to the conference finals.

Congratulations to Boston for making it to the NBA finals but it's not yet done. Is this a sign that we get sweeps from east and west?

Yeah, almost to extend the series to game 5 but again they ain't able to manage to complete the win and Boston again snatch this game and complete the sweep, like what you said, Pacers deserves it and even they lose the conference finals with this young squad there's always a chance improving the whole system and be back stronger next season.

In terms of another sweep? We might witness that if Wolves will do the same, lacking energy in the final quarter something similar with how Pacers outplayed by Boston, but maybe a good adjustments will be shown by Wolves this coming game 4 they need to do everything to extend the series, it's not done till it's done.
I was expecting that it will be a Pacers after watching all of the quarters not until the last few minutes on 4th. I'll just enjoy the remaining games before we get to see the NBA finals.

Execution is the key, and then that Boston stop, the block and then White with the corner 3 points to end the series. And also the crucial rebound of Holiday and that's is.

And as expected, Brown winning his first Eastern conference MVP, Tatum though is  very quiet in this series, he should be the one taking over, but I guess him and Brown are sharing and it's good to see them going into the finals again.

Luka and Kyrie is also looking for a clean sweep against the Wolves next.

It's unclean.  Grin Just kidding.

But I don't like how referee Zach Zarba decided on that point where TJ McConnell was hit in the face. That was an automatic flagrant 1. He was definitely hit in the face and it was a strong one and the ball is too far away from where the hands of Jaylen Brown landed. That could've been two more points for the Pacers that will change the pace of the game.

Well, anyway, that's it. The Pacers are young and I like how optimistic Coach Rick Carlisle is in the post-game interview. It's true, they have so much to learn and this is a good addition to the experience of his young core.
Plus now they discovered that Nembhard has a talent and they will probably polish that so he will be their weapon in the next season.

Congratulations to the Celtics. JB is the Eastern Conference MVP without a doubt.

White corner three.... BANG!!!!! Cheesy
This is one of the reasons why I always wanted to watch NBA games when Mike Breen is the commentator. His "BANG!!!" moments are just amazing to hear. Smiley

Anyway, I really thought that the Celtics will not win on this one because they want to celebrate it on their own home, but I was wrong and for that, I lost my bet Cheesy. What an easy Conference Finals for the Celtics if you will ask me. First round, they are up against the Heat that has no Jimmy Butler. Second round, they are up against the Cavaliers that has no Mitchell for most of the games. Now Conference Finals and they are up against the Pacers that has no Haliburton. For me, it's an easy route to the NBA Finals, but injuries are part of the game, and can't blame the team if their superstar got injured. Congratulations to the Celtics.

I guess we will be seeing the Mavericks and the Celtics matching up in the NBA Finals "UNLESS" the Timberwolves will make a history. Just for context, the Celtics and the Mavericks fought twice in the regular season in both games, the Celtics won with all of their superstars playing except for Porzingis in one game. This is just a small sample size and at those games, Gafford didn't play on both. It's too early to say, but I think the Mavericks will win this year's title.  Grin Grin

It's over now, the Boston Celtics is going back to the finals again. White's dagger 3 in the corner is enough for the Celtics to win. So it was a sweep for them, nothing to be ashamed for the Pacers though, they have 2 games in their homecourt and have a great chance to win, but as I have said, they seems to feel into the last minute and can't sustain because no one will take the lead for them as Haliburton is injured.

We are now just waiting for the Western conference, but most likely Dallas Mavericks vs Boston Celtics in the NBA finals.

With both series at 3-0 I can't see a miraculous co.eback.  Pacers are dead money and just too many in a row for minny to pull out

The first half is over there, and the Celtics lead by just 1 point. Even though Haliburton is still out due to injury, I wouldn't rule out that the Pacers can win this game. More precisely, the Celtics might let the Pacers win this game. Thus, the Celtics could end this series in the fifth game and celebrate the Eastern Conference title at home in Boston.

If Doncic plays like this even when he is injured, who knows what will happen if he is 100% healthy. We are heading towards the Mavericks - Celtics final, step by step. We have Doncic and Irving on one side, Tatum and Brown on the other. I'm sure we will watch a great final series. I hope all the injured players return and we can watch both sides with full squads. We will see which team is better in a fair competition.

Agreed at this point that would be the best option to see in the finals.  Incredible backcourts and star scoring power.  Want to see porzingas and lively back healthy so we have some more big man play as well.  With both series at 3-0 I can't see a miraculous co.eback.  Pacers are dead money and just too many in a row for minny to pull out

That would be more better and in case of Lively I think he can get back to finals since he's test is ok as what it says in this article https://www.si.com/nba/mavs-dereck-lively-ii-injury-status-unclear-for-game-4

If it happens that we see those guys rolling out the court and both teams are complete for sure we gonna see a more intense match up since there's history and pride that a player is fighter for especially for Irving and I'm sure he really want to defeat Boston knowing  that they have trouble with this team. Also Boston want to defeat him knowing they have issue with Irving before. Finals would surely not boring with back stories happened and that adds entertainment factor to us fans who's excited to watch their match up.

Get the game over and I wouldn’t even play Luka in Game 4. If they get up 3-0… he gets almost two weeks off. He’s playing on one leg… He needs some rest.”
Charles Barkley Thinks Luka Doncic Should Sit Out Game 4 To Rest Up For The Potential NBA Finals

What do you think? Should they sit Luka, or should they allow him to continue playing? Since no team has come back from a 0-3 deficit, maybe they'll consider giving Luka some rest. No worries for Dallas, as they have Irving to carry the team, but isn't it too risky?

Why should he sit game 4 out, the job sure as hell isn't done yet, if he sits out and the Minnesota Timberwolves wins game 4, then the series will head back to Minnesota for Game 5 and will the Dallas Mavericks be able to beat the Timberwolves on home court again ? I doubt that, and that could mean the series going again to Dallas for Game 6, so they'd have extended the series by 4-6 days more and Doncic would still need to play his ass out, that'd be irony at its peak, wouldn't it ?

-------------------------

WOJ with NBA Today on ESPN reported that the likely hood of Tyrese Haliburton playing in Game 4 is very slim, I really don't see a way past the Celtics for them today without him to be honest, I guess it's safe to say we have our first NBA 2024 playoffs finalist in the Boston Celtics.
