If Doncic plays like this even when he is injured, who knows what will happen if he is 100% healthy. We are heading towards the Mavericks - Celtics final, step by step. We have Doncic and Irving on one side, Tatum and Brown on the other. I'm sure we will watch a great final series. I hope all the injured players return and we can watch both sides with full squads. We will see which team is better in a fair competition.

He played through injury and that's just too impressive for him. A 100% is more deadly but it looks like it's not needed for now.

By the way, here's an interesting comment from Charles Barkley..

Quote
Get the game over and I wouldn’t even play Luka in Game 4. If they get up 3-0… he gets almost two weeks off. He’s playing on one leg… He needs some rest.”
Charles Barkley Thinks Luka Doncic Should Sit Out Game 4 To Rest Up For The Potential NBA Finals

What do you think? Should they sit Luka, or should they allow him to continue playing? Since no team has come back from a 0-3 deficit, maybe they'll consider giving Luka some rest. No worries for Dallas, as they have Irving to carry the team, but isn't it too risky?

Boston looks set to be the first team locked into the Finals. Looking forward to see Kyrie try to get revenge on his old team…

And for sure the Boston fans haven't forgot what Kyrie did to their lucky leprechaun logo but stopping it when he moves out from Boston to the Nets years ago. He will get a lot of boos,  Grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR8AlpFrM6Q

Also we have KP against his former Mavs team, so there could be a lot of history between some of this players in the finals and we will see them bringing their A game here. Gonna be interesting as well to see Jrue Holiday becoming a champion again in green uniform as he has one with the Bucks.  Indiana at 3:1 underdog. Gonna be hard for them to beat the Celtics as Haliburton is still injured and questionable in game 4. Mazzulla did a tremendous job on slowing down the offense of the Pacers and they step up their defense.

The series will end today. Kyrie vs. his old team, hmmmm... that's going to be fun, and Kyrie will try to prove to the crowd that he is with the better team. I read an article that Kyrie has been on a losing streak against Boston since he stomped on the Celtics' logo. Will that streak be broken in the NBA Finals?

Also, it's a good matchup: Luka vs. Tatum and Kyrie vs. Brown. All are great players, but I believe Dallas has the edge since both Tatum and Brown aren't clutch players, based on my observations of their games during the regular season and playoffs.

The Timberwolves played incredibly bad in the last 5 minutes. Maybe they could've made it 2-1 and kept their hopes alive, but now the series is over. No team has come back from 3-0 in 154 attempts.
Both Conference Finals are 3-0. If the series ends too early, there will be a 9-day break until the finals. That's more than enough time for the teams to rest. But it's interesting that the gap between the teams in the Conference Finals is so wide. Even though the games were close. Now we wait for the finals.

I know there's never been team in the NBA playoffs to ever come back from 3-0 series standing, but I believe in Naz Reid's statement: 'If anyone can win 4 straight, I think it's us.'

For me just one win for the Timberwolves can lead to winning streak. I still believe the Timberwolves can become champions this NBA season. I take this 0-3 standing to place bet more to Timberwolves. lol

This is only possible if Dallas will choke like what happened to Denver when their shooting accuracy fell so slow for unknown reasons.

But I really doubt Kyrie or Doncic will be having this kind of inconsistency with their shooting accuracy because they are always so good when it comes to crucial matches. Even with Wolves manage to rally on 3rd to 4th quarter they still can’t closed the game on win while this strategy should work already on Nuggets.

Playoffs Dallas is on different level and I doubt that even Boston can beat them in the finals.

Nothing wrong with believing that 1 win is all it takes, comebacks is a real thing after all but it's Mavericks that they're up against, Doncic is really a beast on this one, I'm not keeping up with the game but everytime it's a break time in my office, it's almost always that I'm hearing about Luka being the strongest player, maybe if the Wolves can up their shooting and not missing a lot, they'd probably be able to do something about it, they got more FG attempts than Mavericks but the problem is that they're not making it in the basket so it's useless.

They swept the Suns and beat the defending champions in Game 7, only to be swept by the Mavs in the Western Conference Finals? The Wolves have waited two decades to get where they are, to have a chance at the NBA Finals, only to choke? Their inconsistency on offense can't match Luka's and Kyrie's. They don't have an answer for them. Lots of field goal attempts but low percentage. I expected too much from them. LOL.

They talked too much and they forgot that the Mavs had gathered enough experience to avoid getting choked once again which they failed to understand they also have Kyrie to coach them about the necessary action in this crucial game that's why they easily took game 3 and they are 1 win away to step in the championship against the Boston Celtics finally. They have been waiting for this since they get to the playoffs consistently and this is their only chance to get that championship, unlike the Boston Celtics rosters who have been in that situation before.

So true.

On how the Timberwolves defeated the Nuggets made everybody thought that this is going to be an easy way for them. They even became a favorite of the crowd for this finals but a choke is a choke and it's very visible.

KAT is now being blamed the fans on the web. I was also expecting a lot from them but then, it is what it is and Dallas is just showing who's better.

ANT is still young, at age 22 we can't be too confident that his team will become the NBA champion, that's too much to expect from an inexperience like him. Maybe in the next season he'll have a shot in the NBA finals, but with an experienced Dallas team, it was proven that Wolves are not yet a championship team.

It's safe to say that the series is already over, might not be 4-0 but for sure there will be no game 7 in this series. Luka and Irving is just unstoppable,  if these two continue to produce an MVP numbers, Wolves won't stand a chance, so I might think a sweep is coming so I won't be suprise.
I can see the young Luka on him. Full of enthusiasm and very talented but as you've said, he's still young and there's more for him to learn in the long run.

But with the guidance of his teammates, KAT and Gobert. I think that he's got enough guide but what's not enough is their firepower to beat Dallas.

Well, who knows if the long history of no one is able to do a comeback straight wins might happen to them aside from Cavs with Lebron before.

It's because everyone in the Wolves uniform doesn't have the experience, yeah, they beat the defending champions in Nuggets with their defense. But this time, Mavs is also playing good defense plus they have a lot Luka and Kyrie to boot.

So it's going to very difficult for the T'Wolves as ANT doesn't have his usual game and then he has a lot of turnovers too, very crucial. But this is going to be a good lesson for them, this year. It's not the end for them, they can still improved next year as their core could remain intact.

The 2nd real superstar for the team is KAT, but in the 3 games he played, he can't find his offense, so that's really a problem. However, if he will play well in game 4, the series might extend a bit but it's almost impossible for them to come back and win.

KAT shooting in game 3,    5-18 28%
KAT shooting in game 2    4-16 25%
KAT shooting in game 1    6-20  30%

Look at that number, he average only 28% shooting percentage on the last 3 games combine, with that shooting, I think he should not make more attempt and just play the defense, 2nd man to Gobert.

Both Irving and Doncic want to become champions, they played great again in the last match and managed to win the match. Minnesota Timberwolves can't win a game this time, Edwards and KAT should have been able to win at least one game in this series.
I don't think the conference finals will be extended, both series seem to end in the 4th game. Then we will see the real champion Smiley

Both Kyrie and Luka are effective leaders they shared the court with each other and let everyone play alongside with them, with leaders like them it's really tough for the Wolves to beat the kind of team where the determination is all intact from one another, KAT and ANT plus everyone who can contribute needs to step up and try more harder to extedn the series.

Just one game at the time it's not done yet until Dallas not completed that 4 game wins from these series, though for sure it's a tough call and challenge if what adjustments Wolve's needed to win a game but they need to try to avoid being swept.

On the other side, Boston might add another edge against Pacers as like what we have heard from those previous post that KP might be playing this coming game 4, another scorer who really can bring decent numbers for the Boston, better to use him now in preparation for the upcoming finals, he needs to play and be added from the rotation as Boston needs him for additional force on both defense and offense.

Well, I can say that the Dallas Mavericks are playing really well and of course, we also have to give credit to the two players that we are talking about right now, Doncic and Irving. Without them, I do not think that the last match is going to be what it is right now, without them they would not have been able to bring in the results that they are. They absolutely carried the team in this match against Timberwolves. Of course, I also agree that they want to be champions. That’s why They are trying to give their full potential.

Boston Celtics have been able to win against the Indiana Pacers. The match was very close by the way. At one point it looked like it could have gone either way. And at one point it certainly looked like it was going to be easy for Indiana Pacers to actually win this game. The lead that they had taken in the second quarter was really big. But Boston Celtics were able to make a great comeback in the last quarter and were able to win the game.

I also don't think that there will be another match after the upcoming one. Well, I was optimistic that I'd thought it will be easy for the Minnesota Timberwolves to win this series against the Dallas Mavericks, I am one of people that have thought they're currently the strongest team now because of how they've won against the Denver Nuggets. I think that this is a different story if the Dallas is playing against the Nuggets.

And when we thought that Luka and Kyrie are not going to blend, they proved almost everyone wrong.
I remember this when Kyrie was traded to the Dallas and many have thought that they're not going to work together because they're both superstar. But look, with just some few games after the trade, a chemistry has been made and here they are, looking to give the Wolves a sweep in the conferences finals. That's even more painful than a heartbreak but even so, we'll still have to wait and see for the game 4.

Exactly, when Kyrie was traded and he is supposedly paired with Luka, many critics dismisses this team as two ball hog will not end very well for any team. But it's different, Kyrie might have matured already since he has also team with superstars in the past and now knows when to go to the background and let Luka do the work and then score points when needed.
The attention wasn't even given on them not until they're able to reach the playoffs and now the conference finals. Well, Luka has waited for this opportunity and let's see if this is going to be his first ever ring together with Kyrie. With the past experiences of Kyrie playing with several superstars, he has adjusted and understood how important it is to be an actual player and his role to the team.

I think a sweep is imminent here, we have seen games in this series that the Wolves will take the lead and have 90% win the game until Luka or Kyrie takes over. Also good decision to get two players, Gafford and PJ Washington in the trade deadline this February as this two is also part of the core now. And then the rookie Lively, a good pick as well. So everything is falling into pieces for them.
A well balanced roster and not that much having superstars and I think this is what the other teams should learn from the Dallas Mavericks. They have sticked to this roster and added only someone who's got experience in the playoffs and in the finals and that's Kyrie who has also won one ring. As for the other players, they are also able to showcase their talents given that they've got more playing time together with these two. Lively, AFAIK he's the only rookie for this year that has reached this far for the first time on his first season ever.

We understand the sentiment of people since Kyrie don't have a good mindset before. He like to be the main guy of the team and he used to get a lot of issues from his teammate but all has changed as Kyrie said he became mature and can able to adopt his role. That's why right now we see how flexible he is and he can work with Luka without getting any problem. Both guys is fun to watch  in the game that's why I want Kyrie  to win another championship since this is really fulfilling especially it can add something huge boost to his career and also Luka will get his first title of his career which is really great to see.

Wolves are bound to be sweep since we see that even if Lively is out of the court still Dallas manage to tighten up their defense since they have Gafford doing so good for protecting the paint and Washington on perimeter offense or we can say that we see a total team effort that's why Wolves struggle to fight back or get at least one win against Dallas.
