Lots of games tomorrow, 15 in total, and this would be the last game of the NBA season.
https://www.covers.com/sports/nba/matchups?selectedDate=2021-05-16

Blazers have to win this game if they want to be in the top 6, if they lose, the Lakers will replace them as for sure Lakers will win against the Pelicans.

I can see now and I believe that Lebron is really back 100% healthy.
That's a surprise and didn't escalate to me.

Hopefully that the Lakers are now back and shape and they're going to be at their best with their upcoming game/s.

The Lakers are already in the full squad now and they are healthy as well.  Not only Lebron is back, but they also have Schroder back in the lineup and we know how good he is so what we are seeing now is the Lakers that are a championship team. They may be not be included in the top 6 but they still have a huge chance of winning even if they will not have the home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Most likely, they will face the Phoenix suns or the Denver Nuggets, that's a tough series for them but I know they can handle that.

If against the Suns, I think the Lakers would win that, but against the Denver Nuggets, that would be an interesting one and I can't conclude now. Although they lost Murray due to injury there are some players filling his absence and overall, the team is still doing good. I can't wait to see the outcome of the games tomorrow, so we will know the bracketing.

I can’t believe that none of the western conference games that matter tomorrow are being nationally broadcast (unless my app is wrong or something changes). How is this possible? Both the Lakers and Portland games should be heavily watched events. I hope they were just late to be added to TNT or ESPN’s schedules or something…

Holy cow. I just checked it and it's real. They are going to put all the games left in one day.
So, it will be finalized after all this game.
Western Conference:
LA Lakers or Portland Trail Blazers to take the 6th seed.
Golden State Warriors or Memphis Grizzlies for the 8th seed.
Nuggets and Clippers battling for the 3rd seed.
Eastern Conference:
Wizards (home) versus Hornets will be the game tomorrow and whoever wins takes the 8th.
Pacers have no chance to take the 8th seed whatever the results will be.  1-2 Hornets 0-3 Wizards. Pacers game doesn't matter anymore as the result will still be the 9th or 10th.

4. Knicks 40W 5. Hawks 40W 6. Heat 39W.
If Knicks lose, Hawks win, and Heat wins. = 4. Hawks 5. Heat 6. Knicks
Knicks lose, Hawks lose, Heat wins = Based on what I read, Heat will take the 4th seed because they swept Knicks even if they lost twice against the Hawks.
Then, Knicks will take the 5th seed for sweeping the Hawks.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Well, first it must happen which I think has a low chance. Why? It's Hawks vs Rockets.  Grin

It is really good to see Lebron back. He will not have too much chance to get back on his condition, his fitness could be a problem on the early days of play-in and also the playoff as well, I am expecting him to be 100% ready on second round if they get there but this is Lakers with Lebron+AD we are talking about I am sure they will get there.

However things will get interesting after that, we all know that regular season western conference is a bit weird, Jazz at the top and Suns below and Nuggets under them, these are all good teams for sure but they are not teams many people expect to be champions, so it is not going to be that easy if you ask me for these teams to face Lakers, but eventually we get teams like Clippers facing Lakers and that could be very good to watch. Or maybe Lakers or Clippers could be eliminated before they even face each other like last year, I really do not know.
Dominant LeBron and AD in the pacers game, Drummond defends the shaded area, I think now they are ready for the playoffs and I feel bad for the team that they will be facing because every playoff LeBron is 100% and they always win, now that AD is also back, and Drummond for sure they will be in the west finals, hoping they are healthy comes to the west finals.

It's going to be a longgggg playoff run for the Lakers if they will play in the play-in tournament.

But that would be so interesting because we will be seeing a tough journey for the Lakers just to get in the playoffs, and if they will win a back-to-back championship, this would be a good recognition again for them again. I just really hope Lebron is 100% when he comes back as the Lakers really need him to activate his beast mode. I have no doubt they will win in the play-in tournament but I think it's not easy for them to win in the WCF now.

It will be long run yes, so they really need Lebron back, but I'm not sure if he will be 100% if he returns. Just like Davis, he needed several games to adjust again before we see him going back to his pre injury version.

So they still need to win their last game at least that's the thing they can control and wait for Portland vs Nuggets.

First objective of the Lakers at the moment is to avoid the paly-in in which the probability of success is pretty high as their opponent will be the Pelicans which don't have Zion while LBJ and AD are back in the line-up.

Depending the trophy is another thing as the health of Lebron is very fragile and if he will be out with injury in the playoff then it would be goodbye to them as well in the NBA Finals.

Yeah.

That was to be expected and we're going to see more games from them but it would be easy if they've done better before so that they don't have to go through such rough in play in tournament.

But even if they lose, they still have the chance on the seed 8 but it's better if they'll be going to the seed 7.

The only chance for the Lakers to not play in the play-in tournament is when the Portland Blazers will lose to the Denver Nuggets on their ext games but that seems impossible since they are now in their best ever condition to give the other teams their best play. But still, chances are there for the Lakers. playing in that play-in tournament really gives their fans lots of anxiety because Stephen Curry is unpredictable we never know if his famous long 3s will be activated when they play with the lakers. if that gonna happened then surely it's a nightmare for the Lakers and imagine if they lose it, that would be a great noise on social media and there is no doubt that they will put all the blame on Lebron. they really need to win it no matter what happens.

So the Lakers won this important match against the Pacers, and it looks like Lebron and Davis are finally healthy, considering that both had a good performance in this match. Now the battle for rank 6 in the west conference has become even more interesting.

Good win for the Lakers today. But I guess the Blazers would easily retain their current spot as most likely the Nuggets would bench most of their starters and superstars would only play for a limited time. Worse is, they'll let the Blazers win this one final game. However, the Lakers still needs to win their final game in case the Blazers losses to the Nuggets.

It's going to be a longgggg playoff run for the Lakers if they will play in the play-in tournament.

^^ Definitely the game might have a different outcome if Curry decided to play against the Pels.

It was crazy game indeed, Warriors have a huge lead and they think they are safe and then Pels make a huge come back and even taking a lead. But after that, the Warriors scored and then regain the lead. But then again the Pels keeps getting the breaks. It was Poole who bail them out with a quick drive and then stop a three.

Golden State Warriors team 2nd team trying to improve their game against the Pelicans.
It's just the 1st quarter but they are performing well. I guess because there is no pressure with this.
Their next game will tell though if they will still have this kind of performance while Curry and Green resting for a breather.
Stepping up their chemistry will be critical on that game against the Grizzlies.

Mavericks also trying to seal their position at 5th seed putting a big lead against the Raptors. Those who bet for high-rank seeds will have their way today.

Pelicans went into full tank mode as soon as they sidelined Zion for a broken finger.  I'm sure if they win another game this season the coach will be fired.  LOL

Last I looked at the standings they were one game ahead of the team below them and they seemed dead set on trading spots with them.

This is very sad for the Pelicans, they had some great games and I thought they will be in the playoffs this season but we know that this team is just all about Zion, without him, this team is nothing. They even lost against the Warriors when Curry and Green were resting, they are done this season.

Yes, the Zion injury was really big for them in this season, they are still in the contention. So they might as well regroup for next year and prepare. Good win by the Golden State, they are a slight underdog if I'm not mistaken, so I'm sure those who bet on them are very happy about the result even though Curry and Green are resting. Warriors now at 8th place.

The end of this game was crazy. The Pelicans had the win in their hands and then gave up 6 straight points in the last 30 seconds to lose against the Warriors bench. I wonder if the coach has to tell them to lose on purpose or if they all just know they have to blow the end of the game.  Cheesy
both teams are shooting well outside and inside, pelicans have a good passing game, while the Golden State has shooting three points in the first quarter well, maybe the team that shows hunger winning the game, though they give what they could in the game, the warriors wasn't it the most so they succeed on winning it, i just wonder if their star players are in the court it might have different result.

They'll win against the Nuggets, I have a feeling they'll be successful this time.  Blazers have to prepare for their last game, if Denver will lose in this game, they will still be in the top 4, which means they will get the home-court advantage, so it's a no-bearing game for them, and they might just give this away to the Blazers.
2 more days before the Blazers meet the Nuggets. While 2 more game for the Lakers that are both crucial.
They badly need this win against the Pacers tomorrow. Tiebreaker is not an option for them.  It could also create some pressure on the Blazers team knowing the Lakers is still tailing them.
But there's a big problem. Pacers also want that win to put their team on the 8th spot.  Grin Oh God, this last games are all crucial for them and then there's the GSW vs Grizzlies too. It won't be easy to predict who will win this last couple of games.

That's fine. Zion, Ball, and Ingram are all still very young. They still need a few years to fully develop their skills that perfectly blend to their team chemistry. In other words, they need still need a few years to become a mature player.
Yeah, they are still very young, so they are still in the development stage. And I think the team will retain this 3 as their core in the next years to come.

They really have to gain the experience first and then the mentality to compete high level basketball every game to be one of the top teams in the next 3 years. So the future is still bright for the Pelicans.
