I'm also liking what they're showing to us, too early to judge the status of most teams. Although those teams at the bottom can be said and generalize of what you want to describe them. Just like the example of Lakers with their losses, and just as the same as Nets and other good teams. Everybody will have their own losses.  Tongue
I can't wait for the playoffs.

If you are referring to the Cavaliers, they are not at the bottom actually, per https://www.nba.com/standings, they are at the number 6 in the East, I know some did not expect this, so they might not be checking the standing of the cavaliers, but they are really in that standing now, actually next to Brooklyn Nets.
Nope, I'm not talking about Cavs as I know that they are in good standing. Those teams that are at the bottom were the ones that I'm talking about.
What I talked about were those teams that are on the bottom side also were winning games and might win games soon. And many unexpected games are yet to come.

Nets vs Miami Heat, Monday, January 25, 2021 at 7:35pm EST.
Since Kyrie Irving came back and we have 'the threes' available (Kyrie, Kevin and James), it is gonna be hard for Miami. We hope that Kyrie keeps concentrate the rest of the season because I really thought about he had some real personal & health problems but He came back even stronger. Go Nets!  Cheesy
Not that much, if you do go back into that Nets vs Cavs game then you would really able to see the problem which they might not able to resolved it out.

Im not underestimating Cavs team when it comes to play performance but Heat is much better than them imho. Just like what other people been saying

here is that Durant and James would really be enough. They would be needing some defensive guy in Kyrie's position. They aren't really needing it much
when it comes to offensive and also they do need to improve proper ball rotation.

Without Avery Bradley and Jimmy Butler I dont think Heat have much chances. Other players will have to make a step up and play very good games to be competitive to Nets.
But when I see this I dont think there are many players available to step up.

Boston came back with a huge win against the Cavaliers.

Time for them to start winning maybe, that's 2 loses before this big win, and Brown was really contributing consistently to the team.
Of course, we cannot forget Kemba Walkers contribution as well, they are certainly missing Tatum but as long as they have more wins than loses, this team will still stay in the playoff race and I think their chances in the playoffs compared last year.
Yes, the Celtics played well, Jaylen Brown was excellent, in fact, there were 41 points only in the 3rd period.
The Celtics are currently "well fitted" but I believe they can still improve, since the Cavs are not playing so badly, but I think an experienced player is missing to call the responsibility to him.

I'm curious how the game will be today, Lakers vs Cavs, but I'm pretty sure the Lakers will win

I would say Clevland is not doing good "just for now", they are doing good compared to what people expected no matter how they end the season. A lot of players showed improvements and they are going to finish better than expected no matter what happens by the end of the season. They could even miss playoffs but if they are close to the 8th spot, I would say that is overachievement by them because everyone expected them to tank, we even see people here who assume they are tanking.

So, if they finish anywhere above 40% win rate, that would be success for them, and they are going 50% right now, so they are definitely doing way more than what people expected, not just by an inch but by a mile. If, however, somehow they manage to keep their position and actually fight for a playoff spot and get it? That is going to really be amazing and would be incredible.

Boston Celtics played a home game against Cleveland Cavaliers last night. Celtics demolished Cavs 141-103. On Celtics side, J. Brown got 33 points. K. Walker got 21 points. On Cavs side, none of the players managed to have points more than 15. It seems that it was not Sexton's day. He got only 13 points.

Yeah right, they are performing though it's too early to judge them since it's really a tough competition in the east side, they are doing well considering that Kevin Love still not playing.

This new formed squad shared very well they are balance and they are really competiting hard. That fisrt win against the big 3 of Nets showed how hungry this team to win, coming to double OT and snatch that win from performing KD, Kyrie and Harden.

Then repeat it again with KD  less Nets before losing with the Celtics, got an off night for most of the players that's why the
lead is really huge.

If I'm not mistaken here, I think there's no all star player yet in the starting line up except for Drummond, but Drummond was not really a starter in all star and he is not consistent in All star games, so this is just like a fresh team trying to compete, and thus far, I can tell they are doing very well.

Celtics scored 141 points, what does that tell us? This team has no defense, and yet they won against the Nets, so it also tell easily that the Nets defense are really weak. It's very disappointing to see that the newly form big 3 of nets can't handle a weak team.
We really can't tell how good a team is just by looking at the stats in the early phase of the league. I wouldn't say a weak team but there's this just always the comparison through rosters of each team. But a strong team can always be beaten by an underdog team.
This happens in unexpected times just like this. And expect that there will be more games like this to show us strong teams being beaten by weaker teams.
Weaker teams maybe, weak team is the general definition of a team and Cavaliers has beaten good teams like the Nets, and as per their win-loss record, they are already at .500 which is not considered as a weak team. Though it's still early but I like the cavaliers since they have improved this season thus far.

Looking like they exhausted themselves against the Nets.  Boston seems determined to end their losing streak.  I think we may have seen all the brilliance we're going to see from the Cavaliers this year in their 2 game stretch against the new Big 3 Nets.
Yeah, that was a blowout loss to the Celtics.
Their big men kept on running against the Nets to keep up with their speed for 2 games.
I guess it won't be that bad losing against a team that's also focused on speed.
If well-rested, I bet they could give them a good fight.

Wizards though will keep on losing more games without most of their roleplayers who are still under observation for Covid-19.
They will be back on January 29.

Cavaliers now are playing against the Boston Celtics after winning 2 games against the Nets.

Do you think their brilliance will continue? Celtics still without Tatum, so I this might be a great match up.

What's your choice in this game?
BTW, boston on 3 losing streak, Cavaliers on 3 winning streak

It wasn't the fact that Cavs were good..it was more about how bad the Nets defense was under the post. Celtics are doing a better job defending and their offense is just clicking today. Cavs are at best an average team in the eastern conf. and their ranking suggests the same. Their post defense is good but perimeter defense isnt great.

Edit:
Spurs finally look like a team in playoff contention. Good game from them today.

Celtics are having their best offensive game of the season so far. I don't see how Cavs can make a comeback. Already down 20 points and its not even half time. Brown and Smart are running a clinic.
