I think Lebron will not anymore wins MVP, I have a feeling that Luka Doncic will win the MVP this season. This guy is nailing big points in most of his games, he sometimes have a double  double and we rarely see him have some bad night, as long as he stays healthy, he had a decent chance.

LeBron is already out of the picture or not being expected for being an Season MVP for several seasons now. It just that he really stays on the top especially last season and always on a weekly power ranking. Instead, he's expected to become a Finals MVP as he is really a beast when playoffs.

I agree that Doncic has a decent chance if he maintained good numbers every game. Even only a single worst game performance can affect the whole stats if running for Season MVP.

Guys can Pistons have a chance tonight against Suns ? As far as I researched this game I ended up with the result that somehow Suns are always having hard games in Detroit and they never won in 2 years with them so this can also be a good advantage for Pistons and they also need a win so bad to cheer up their morale as a team.

They have a chance but slim. Odds will tell you why.

But for analysis, Spurs is on fire in their last game against the Lakers. LaMarcus Aldridge's mid-range jumper is so impressive even at that height. And right now, the Pistons is having a hard time playing against the Phoenix Suns. The current score is 54-34 Suns.

If you look at a couple posts above I have the pistons +8 in this.  They will play them tough.  I think this is a good matchup for the pistons and getting 8 points at home is a decent amount.
Of course, I would not hesitate betting on the Pistons at that high spread. Pistons in their last 8 games they are 4-4 ATS, so that's a decent spread and their 50% is not bad to cover since they badly need a win, if they lose, at least they'll make it a close game to cover.

Another great game is starting soon.  Zion Williamson and LaMelo Ball are playing each other for the first time since High School.  Last time they met LaMelo was a little kid.  It's also the first time we'll see the brothers Lonzo & LaMelo face off in an NBA game.  It will be exciting for sure.  I think the Pelicans will win easily, but the way LaMelo has been playing it is quite possible he'll have more stats then his brother if he gets enough minutes.

I wouldnt rely on mvp polls 8 games in, when there was no sort of preseason.  Its all popularity vote right now.  Anything before mid-season on mvp polls is silly.  Someone could've had a good week or a bad week, no body of work yet.

Correct. And too early to speculate with only a few games played.

That weekly stats is just a power ranking.

Some players on the current rank might not maintain it, be injured in the process, or other players will surprisingly step up.

Jokic is special, he is in the top 5 in assists and rebounds this season.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/stats/

On this list Jokič is mentioned as 7th for this years MVP.

https://www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-jan-8-2021-edition?hidenav=true&adobe_mc=TS%3D1610122265%7CMCMID%3D53336870551119923787078846867204333198%7CMCORGID%3D248F210755B762187F000101%40AdobeOrg

When you look at starts he is by far the best.

How the fuck they can make so huge difference? This is insane wrong. Paul George is listed 3rd and he is at around 25th rank right now.

I thought that Nuggets already got the game. From the first quarter up to the third quarter, they're leading not until Dallas was able to cope up and take the lead.

And in that last 2 seconds of the game, everyone thought that Dallas has already taken the game until Jokic took a flight shot and was able to make it up to an OT. Still, Dallas won after the OT.

I never thought of that because Mavericks always find a way to bounce back on that game even they are down by 10+ most.

Actually, in the 1st Quarter, the game was close. And on the following quarters, Nuggets just maintained the lead at around 10+ but Dallas always finds a way to shorten the lead. And their team effort paid off as they finally get the game close before the start of the 4Q. Almost a win for the Mavericks in the regulation but Jokic made the clutch shot that lead to OT. Doncic and Richardson made some important clutch shots at the OT and that leads them to win the game. Nuggets have a good stats line on this game but still, lose.
A nice game with 7 point lead and I had really thought that Denver would really having this game but Luka doesnt really know to give up giving out those unexpected moments with those clutch shots and contribution for the entire team.

that's a well played game for both teams and it doesnt really give out that boring feeling out of me. Doncic doesnt really fail to impress me.

Denver Nuggets played a home game against Dallas Mavericks this morning. It was really an exciting game. The normal time ended 109-109 and Mavericks won the game 124-117 after overtime. On Nuggets side, Jokic made a double-double (38 points, 11 rebounds). J. Murray got 21 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. On Mavericks side, Doncic made a double-double and he was so close to a triple-double (38 points, 13 assists, 9 rebounds).

Tonight knicks only -2 against ok city.  Gonna ride the high and snatch this up which is pretty much a pickem at home for the knicks.  Thibs got their heads right.  Down 18 against the jazz the other night and came out in the second half and wrecked them.  I'm gonna snatch the under in this game too.  I think as the season goes on the knicks games will be lower scoring.  They aren't built for screaming runs, but defend well against them.

Hoping this isn't a mirage and is finally the year they turn things around.  Been a long road.

It's pretty rare to see a big man who are good in assist, Denver lucky to have Jokic, and though they seem not consistent thus far in the regular season but as long as they will enter the playoffs, they'll be a tough team to beat.
Damn true.
I think it was Duncan who can be a good example of Jokic stats although he hasn't got a championship yet.
Just a comparison with skills and movement.
If he is smaller and more agile he could be a great point guard.
He can become an expensive player after his contract.  Cheesy Average 25pts 11rebs 10asts. A monster indeed.
I wish he could get a championship this year.
It is funny that you said Duncan. I saw on reddit today that on a podcast that Duncan said the best big he likes to watch was Joker, and I think it makes sense because Jokic is known for his passing skills and the player Duncan loves the most was Magic Johnson. If you made Magic into a big (not like he was small neither Cheesy) that would basically be Jokic.

How many bigs can actually average 10+ assists per game, that is unheard of, but Jokic did it for a stretch and I believe he will probably have months of 10+ assists as well in the future. Duncan likes the game a bit more calm, not flashy and Jokic plays the game with his brain and not his body, which is why I think Jokic could be the love of all fundamentalists of the game. Plus dude was candidate for MVP as well for a while, which shows he is not just playing smart but he plays very well too.

That play where Draymond Green meets with Kawhi Leonard in the air is so controversial. It is so dangerous for both of the players to intertwine like that and the fall really can be dangerous if both of the players would not react quickly and luckily they have just fall flat. Should Draymond be fined with plays like that? Not flaming Draymond but its really scary playing with that guy.

What a great game from Mavs and Nuggets.
I thought Dallas already won that from the last shot of Maxi Kleber downtown but Jokic won't just give up taking the game to overtime.
Doncic just lack 1 more rebound for another triple-double game.
Jokic scored the same with 38 points. These two teams are really fun to watch.

Exactly, Jokic bring the game to OT and his teammates reaction is like they won the game, haha.. unfortunately they lose in the overtime, Doncic did a great job of carrying his team for a win, and I like what Dallas are doing even without KP, so more to expect when KP is back.

The real crazy thing is he still has so much room for improvement. He’s still not in the greatest shape and has a lot to learn in the footwork department. I don’t know how long his prime will last but he’s making the most of his time on the floor now. Denver is lucky to have him.

As long as he remained healthy, he still have more seasons in the NBA, Jokic is only 25 years old now, if he can follow the success of Lebron, not totally to level it but Lebron is already 36 years old and still active, therefore, Jokic still has at least 10 years of his career to be played. With that long period of time, it's expected that he will improve more.
