Just when everyone is bashing Curry and saying he can’t lead a team... Wow. He now has a higher career high than LeBron, Giannis, Harden, Kawhi and many others. What a perfect time for him to have a breakout game. Too bad Klay had to get injured. As others have shown though, great of him to immediately congratulate his brother. Great night for NBA basketball.
Man I have to agree with the hate Curry had when he lost both Durant and Klay on their normal rotation. But yeah he needs to step up when all matters now. He's been the face of the franchise since Monta Ellis. Actually, this year will be a good year for Steph, he gets the chance to prove the doubters wrong, and is capable of carrying his team to secure a playoff spot. We'll just hope he stays healthy all throughout the 2021 season. Though the Western Conference are stacked with a great team, but securing a playoff spot would be a great accomplishment for the GSW.
What Curry had to deal with so far was a bit sad, this is the guy who made this team what it is today, there is no denying that without Klay or even maybe Durant, they wouldn't be this good, but without Curry it is not even starting up, it is not going to be even a decent playoff team, you can put Klay and Durant on the same team, and remove Curry from there, and you are looking at a Brooklyn Nets level of team, maybe even worse if you consider Irving better than Klay which I do.
Whereas when you put Curry there, it suddenly becomes a major team. Everyone forgets that Warriors lost from 3-1 on 2016 finals and that was horrible for them, BUT they had 73 wins that season and that was without Durant, it was just Curry and Klay, which is a great duo but Cury was the major part of that. So let's not forget how awesome this guy is, he could do anything he wants.
