Patrick is very dominant in his defensive role and frustrates forwards with giving them no space to make a run at the bucket.
We know that, he is a real definition of a defensive play who always makes some hustle play in the floor, you need to have a high patience when you are guarded by him because if you will get easily frustrated, that's his victory.

With the addition of Kawhi and PG13 Clippers is going to be a great contender for sure. Also excited to see Zion play for Pelicans next season.

They will carry this team to a higher level and if they will win in the west I'm sure they will not have a hard time winning the championship.

Their tough journey is in the West, they need to beat the Lakers and the Warriors as their first priority.

I'm excited to watch zion but i'm expecting too much from this kid unless he actually gets to play with the big guys. We've seen several hyped up top picks end up as busts. These busts have very good and promising college credentials but ended up not fairing well at all becuse of either injuries or they're simply just hyped up.

LOL, this guy has a tough job because everytime the clippers played against the best teams in the NBA, we usually see Beverly taking in charge of the best players of the opposing team. I even saw him defending Lebron James IIRC but I'm certain he use to guard curry when they played against the GSW.

No, it was Durant which he played defense.
Remember when they both fouled out because of the sticky defense of Beverley? He was doing it on purpose to take out Durant.
Also, he made him thrown out which includes Beverley too. It is not a loss from the Clippers but for GSW which is their assassin.
He cannot keep up on Curry for it will just keep on running without the ball. Exhaustion will stop him and will be a waste for the Clippers.

Erik Spoelstra's extension. This is just a Wow for me. After some mockery from Stephen Smith and Max Kellerman, he still got this great contract.

Still for me it is Denver which is seen last season.
But I will take it for this guys at Clippers are veterans and know how will play with their new roster.
The only problem that I am seeing is fatigue.
Once they get a match with young teams like the Knicks, can they somehow match the speed and energy?
You're talking about fatigue? This Clippers team doesn't have the problem for that. They can match the speed for the young team by making good ball rotation and great defense in which their tagline as of now. Not to mention, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George's experience when taking over the game. They can actually dominate the game, two of the best two-way players are combining forces for their team. So, choose, Skills and experience or speed and energy? With skills, it comes with speed plus their energy in the game though.

Clippers have 2 of the best thieves in the basketball floor............
I was trying to comprehend your statement but I got stuck with this, what do you mean by best thieves? And who are these players?

I'm pretty sure he's referring to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, one of the best defenders in the league.

As per "thieves", he probably meant on-ball defense/steals (PG13 finished first last year avg 2.2 steals per game, Kawhi also in top 10 with 1.8  )

I see, I thought he was referring to Patrick Beverley as one guy but I don't know the other guy.

He is the only player I know in the team who are very defensive in guarding his opponent and he even pissed Durant when this two teams played back in the last playoffs.

Patrick's defense is way different. He is one of a kind. He keeps on making offensive players get grumpy until their game becomes too bad they cannot make any more good shot anymore.
He ain't really going to steal the ball unlike PG13 and Kawhi which look like they have a third eye and knows where the ball will go.

But as of an addition to defense, yes Patrick Beverley is in good position even defending bigger guys.
I will root for the Clippers if there will be a game against the Lakers.

I will root for the Clippers if there will be a game against the Lakers.

This would be an interesting match-up and for me in terms of firepower they are pretty even,
But the defense would be the problem because clippers are showing their improve defense this season
Quote
i would bet on the other side here, the Lakers as i'm a Davis fan.
Well Davis is INC good conditions this last games but it would be a tough fight I believe

IMO whoever got the home court advantage have the higher percentage of winning the game  Grin.
Lol Homecourt advantage is always in effect though when Michael Jordan Leads Chicago Bulls this advantage always been broken as Chicago dominated every team they go against even in front of their thousands fans

Not to mention Patrick Beverly's intimidating defense. Im not sure but I think Clippers will be one of the toughest defensive team this season, maybe the "best".

Oohhh I havent used that word "best" yet for I havent seen them yet as a team which plays defense. It may go whack if there will be no good rotation.

I foresee Danny Green shooting wide open threes, lots of oops to Davis and Howard.
I don't know if he is really so consistent with his 3 point shooting but I like him to be a starter as the energy he can bring to the floor is so huge.
He is not only a shooter but he is also good with his defense, this guy was trained really hard during his time with the Spurs and that makes him a contributor to whatever team he will be playing.

For the record, Danny Green and Lebron used to be a teammate back in 2009? (Im not sure) in Cleveland. But, that time Danny hasnt step up his game yet, not until he was traded to the Spurs. Maybe by now, Lebron already know how to use Green as an offensive weapon, he could be a good spot up shooter, which is very beneficial for shooters like Danny, saving him from draining his energy and stamina in creating his own shot.

I like him to be a starter

I doubt, thats less likely to happen. But, maybe he would be a starter in the first week of the season since Kyle Kuzma is out for a week due to a stress reaction on his left foot.

LA LAKERS could  be the team to beat this year

Lakers players, coaches, management believe pieces are in place for NBA title run
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2019/09/27/lakers-media-day-2019-lebron-james-anthony-davis-rob-pelinka/3793500002/
Let the LA hype continue. I'm pretty sure many will enjoy once the season starts and this current team's performance turns out to be average. I cannot wait to see fingers being pointed again with all the blame games.
Yeah the hype is real with LA now just like the usual days but I don't think that we should be too much excited for watching the team. We have already expected something from them. There are other teams to follow for this season and I think the attention that they are getting isn't like Lakers. Superstars are there but that doesn't mean that they'll become an instant champion, remember that last season who even thought about Kawhi with his Raptors gang to take the championship?

The reality is Steve Kerr made that team into a "team", sure like Kevin Durant says the system they are playing right now can't handle the finals because you can play a lot harder defense on playoffs so their system won't work forever but at least with that system everyone gets a great role and they fill it which means all the fans and sponsors all know every single part of that team is important.

From big guns like Curry and Durant to great players like Klay and Dray to even bench players they had with Iggy and Shaun were all getting attention all thanks to system Steve Kerr put in place, which caused the team to like what they are doing and liked the place they have in the system and built a great chemistry.

Now, putting all that aside for a second Lakers do not have that kind of a coach right now, clippers have doc rivers who is great but I am not entirely sure if he is more of a "build chemistry" coach like Steve Kerr. If you ask me Lakers (or even clippers) should have gotten Erik Spoelstra because that dude managed to build bosh/wade/Lebron into a team and calm down their egos, he could have done the same in Los Angeles teams as well.

So who will win? A defensive team or an offensive one?
I really would like to know the answer to this. But I think, in NBA, there are very few pure offenses or pure defense teams that captured the Championship.

The key to winning championships is balance. A good offense should be coupled with a good defense. This is why the Clippers have the edge over lakers and rockets. Both Kawhi and Paul George are top-notch two-way players. They can perform on both ends of the court. Just look at how successful the Spurs have been in the last decade. They are a perfect example of a good balance between offense and defense.

The actual game will set everything . We will find out if the team will blend perfectly or there's a lot of loopholes that's needed to be settled.  It's still early to make assumptions and conclusion. All we can do right now is to speculate and give every opinions that we have.

In the meantime, I will be happy to see how this team will improve, the quality of the game that they will offer to the entire franchise, and the fans who love to support them from the beginning of this new season.

He's not only a good playmaker, he can also play all 5 positions. I foresee Danny Green shooting wide open threes, lots of oops to Davis and Howard.
Im not sure, but there was a rumor before how AD really wanted to play alongside Lebron. So, I guess team chemistry isnt a problem for them.
As you can see, they clearly have the likes of a Dwade-Lebron vibe by looking at their photos together.

I hope so.

We all want a good entertainment and if they have a chemistry then we might be seeing superstars going against each other.
Like when this Lakers team facing the Clippers or Houston Rockets.
Imagine offensive players in one team but there is one thing that is missing with both Lakers and Rockets. Defense.

Clippers have 2 of the best thieves in the basketball floor and also got used to the no hand check defense. Footwork is also a lot better than anyone in the league even if both had been to injury.
Want to see AD slapping a lot of layups though.
So who will win? A defensive team or an offensive one?

I certainly agree wit that, he can even be a good center so this guy which we called the King is an extra ordinary player that deserves to be a GOAT.
