TIM DUNCAN BECAME AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR SAN ANTONIO SPURS!

What!?? For real?

Okay, its true. It is from NBA.com.
But, Is Timmy really that talkative to be an assistant coach.
I mean, I dont really know the guy but base on what I saw when he is in bench with his team mates, he aint that much of a talker. Coaches needs that.

I just hope he gets some good lessons with Pops, then Maybe he could be a coach himself of SAS.
He had been there for so long even after retirement giving tips to Aldridge.

I think that is San Antonio's plan after all, they're grooming him to be their next coach for sure. So let's see how it goes for him, I mean he is well respected and have learn a lot from coach Pop and maybe being an assistant coach will give him the time to improved, like having conversation with the team and giving team 'words of wisdom', before eventually becoming their head coach, so let's see.

We only know TIM as a player, at least a good player but I don't also doubt the decision of coach Pop to hire TIM as an assistant coach, this coach is a legend with high standards in coaching and I don't think he will get an assistant coach that is not an asset to the team.

Can't wait for the next season I wonder what Zion Williams got in his pocket when he finally faces the living legends like Lebron, Curry, and some other NBA stars out there.

With him being undersize in the powerforward position he  would definitely need a lot of time to adjust especially when more experienced and taller players are guarding the rim. Muscles aren't really everything when the one guarding you knows how to stop them. We all know that rookies on a bigger position takes time to adjust in the NBA unlike guards who can help out right away. So Zion really need to up his game to assure him the ROY title by the end of the season.

Williamson is really an athletic player back in his college days but I'm sure it will change now that he came pro. Your right, he's an undersized powerforward but if he adjust to his game plays like moving to small forward instead of powerforward then his athleticism will be of use.

Can't wait for the next season I wonder what Zion Williams got in his pocket when he finally faces the living legends like Lebron, Curry, and some other NBA stars out there.

A lot is expected from this rookie since he is hyped so much. The last one I know that got this much hype in a rookie year was Lebron. He will not have that much impact on his rookie year. I am much more concern in his health than how he will perform. He needs to get fitter and remove extra weight for his knees to remain healthy.

I agree, the hype was similar to Lebron James. He is exceptionally a very good players. But we all know that the yardstick in the NBA. Manny high profile number 1 draft picks failed to have impact when they enter the league and got busted.

As for the extra weight, I'm sure the management will take care of it by hiring professional sports medicine people to help his body ready for a 80 games a season in his NBA debut.

Hopefully that hype will not disappoint us when the season starts, NBA is different, he is in the big stage now and he needs to show up if he wants to compete and be called a star player. Star carries his team like Lebron James even at his Rookie stage, hope to see the same with this guy.

I wonder who gonna become a champion this season.
I'm not going to assume and predict who would become the champion for this season. It's too early for this, I think by the mid of the league, we can already have an idea on what team became stronger.
Those teams that are stable and consistent, they will reach the semis as usual. But there's one team that I would really want to make it to the finals and possible to become this season's champ.

TIM DUNCAN BECAME AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR SAN ANTONIO SPURS! I can't contain my happiness, dude is my favorite player and I have grew up loving the big fundamental and I have mimicked my game based on his style as well, dude means so much to me and it was a really sad time when he retired, I knew he was practicing with the team and what not but actually seeing him in the payroll and wear the suit to be there in the sidelines with pop during the games will worth a lot to me. And it will worth a lot to team as well they are literally gonna be learning from one of the greats and get game time tips from them during the games.

Since, Ettori and Ime Uduoka left the assistant coaching jobs (Ettori went back to Europe and will coach Milano, Ime went to Sixers for some reason) that means Becky Hammons is the first assistant coach right now. Which means if Pop gets ejected or sick and can't coach (which we all know he will definitely get ejected at least once) Becky will be coaching the team and she will be the first female head coach of NBA at that moment.

I believe in a Jokic kind of play. If trained well it could be the dagger to win a championship. With the center passing, shooting and penetrating like him, he just needs a good team mate who can really shoot.
That guy has the fundamentals already. He moves really well inside the paint which you do not see much often today for a center. I have nothing against the Nuggets but I am hoping that he ends up with the Spurs in a couple of years. He'll definitely fit in with their system.

And also Tacko can he still dominate the board if he faces the monster of the rim like Giannis and all of the best dunkers out there? Well, let's see both guys have enough room for further improvement.

He is still a rookie, the NBA now is not won by a one man game, he should have a good team for them to win.
There's a lot of competition in the NBA as there's a lot of big guys who can even shoot outside, but anyway, I'm still interested to see what he can bring.

I wonder who gonna become a champion this season.

Jokic is a center but does not just play center but also a playmaker. I think the Murray-Jokic tandem has a lot of potential in the future. They are young and they still can improve their chemistry and plays. NBA has evolved that centers are not limited to the paint. I think his game will evolve together with Murray.

He showed a lot of confidence in games they played, but with Irving, he cannot show his true potential, he need more touches on the ball so he can score.
I think the management knows that already and that makes them decide to allow Irving to leave.
They are underrated now but they are Celtics, so I think we will be surprise when the season starts.
Rooting for them to reach in the playoffs.

It is just sad that they do not have Rozier anymore. In my opinion, Rozier is a better fit for them than Hayward if they are going for a fast-paced game. I believe they can still make it to the playoffs since they are in the East. The competition is not as hard compared to the powerhouses in the West.

If walker will not be like Irving, Tatum would be effective.
The time when Irving was injured and Celtics are playing better because they know how to share the ball and they spread the floor, hope to see them again playing like that, not like Irving where he loves to carry the ball all the time and pass when there's a little time left which is hard for the teammates to create a good shots.

It is the time now to boost Tatum as one of the great offensive player of the Celtics.
Make it like GSW with two offensive guys on the outside or rather make some good post up plays for Tatum or an isolation guy.

For now he is still one of the under rated player out there with so much skills. I just hope Celtics management is seeing that. This guy have a lot of future in his hands which just needs a lot of confidence. 2 years in the playoffs should be enough by now.

It's gonna be Walker replacing Irving, and If I'm not mistaken he knows how to play fast phase, and the Celtics are really playing fast phase and they have been successful with that.

Correct, it is going to be a fast pacing gameplays. With their roster of small line up just like the Houston Rockets it is going to be a fight for speed.
NBA is way different now. A small forward could be a center and there is not much of a point guard by now. All are like shooting guards and we can see it with the line ups.

They dont take much centers anymore but I still do think it is one key for a championship. Yes, GSW made it happen with Draymond as almost the center of the team.

This is a good move for the Celtics and they really feel the need of a big man, because they go dominated by the Bucks in the paint.
Celtics is experimenting on him. We shall see if he can adopt to the C's style.

Celtics are playing a fast phase game, he was effective with the Blazers where they almost have the same style as celtics, so I don't doubt he will fit with the Celtics.

I think they are playing with fast phase game because of Kyrie. But with him gone, Celtics management needs to change their style as well to fit the new players.

Kanter is really a good attention, he did played well in Portland so he will be a good fit to the Celtics.

The Bucks have a new addition in Kyle Korver. It's not a bad move because they really needed outside shooters and he is also a veteran which can help the younger players. I hope he can also pull a Ray Allen move (Heat) and help them win.

I still get goosebumps watching Ray Allen hit that clutch 3 in the finals.  He saved that series and Lebron's legacy.

Korver is a solid piece, one of the most underrated shooters in the NBA, he is getting up there in age and he isn't much of a defender but his shooting % outweighs that.

I agree, he is a great asset to any team specially needing a clutch three in closing minutes. Even at his age, he can still put up a decent three as evident of his shooting percentage.

It is a good addition in my opinion, it can really up open space for the team, specially if Giannis learns how to play one on one and then kick a pass to Korver for a three. Definitely great addition to the team.

I guess what else were you expecting Celtics to do? Get a veteran instead of a decent role player? Kanter will never be the star of a team, he is just a center that fills a void for teams and last season after Nurkic went down dude really played well enough that they went as far as western conference finals. Hence I think he is doing alright, of course he wasn't the reason why they went as far as western conference finals but at least he wasn't the reason why they didn't.

Hence, I think in a team that has absolutely no center aside from Theis, dude will be fine, without Kanter Celtics would have just Theis as center and nobody else, they picked up the right guy for right scenario, they wanted to get Walker so they had no money to get a decent center, Cousins also didn't want to join so there was nothing left to do but get Kanter. They made the best out of a bad situation.
