While it is undeniable that Tacko has skills and good moves for a guy his size, I won't criticize the teams for not drafting him. In a league where skills, athleticism and longevity matters, they have to pick the top players who meets that criteria. They don't want to get someone who might not last long.

I don't criticize NBA teams on why they did not pick him as they have scouts who's job is to fill what the team is lacking but the way Tacko perform in the summer league maybe they should take a closer look at him if Celtics did not sign him.

Just curious, do you see something in Tacko where he might not last long in the NBA? IMO, he can compete in the league, add a few more pounds and he's ready to bang bodies with any bigs out there.

Now they got a good and tall center, they will just develop him to cope up with the bigs of NBA. If this can shoot on the perimeter and even threes, this young player can beat Embiid and other bigs. He got limited minutes or none at all during his stint with the Raptors because Lowry and Van Vleet are the priority in the rotation.

One more thing, his defense is not so appreciated by the management, Lowry and Van Vleet are both aggressive when it comes to defense and they both can shoot the ball well, who would expect that Van Vleet would be a big help for the Raptors in the Finals.

IIRC, he has good minutes with the Nets but he was not so healthy that's why he got replace, I can think now that health and skills in basketball is really important so the team will value you.

I've also seen some highlights and he looks good with some post moves but people that tall don't usually last playing multiple physical games in a year. It's his durability that's being questioned.

He is somewhat good in this coming season with a lot of improvements we cannot wait to see what he got on his sleeves when facing such monsters. but if Tacko can survive this year without gaining some major injury then that's it the next season he plays he can fully support a team that time.

The guy who caught my attention while watching some of the NBA summer league highlights that passed in my news feed. Why he caught my attention? Because of his height at 7 ft 7 and one of the tallest player that will enter the upcoming season or I think he holds now the record for 2019-20 as the tallest player. Not sure though.

And not just that, wherever he dunked, I see Boban Marjanović to him wherein after a successful dunk and still touching the rim, his feet can be seen literally on the ground. What a height.

I really don't think any of these leftover free agents would make a difference in any team.

People like Jeremy Lin because he was different than all athletes, he was a Harvard student who didn't had basketball scholarship and he made his own way to NBA and that made him relatable, plus he had that insanity period and that made him popular too.

However, looking back on last year, dude played in only 23 games and started in 3 of them, he shot 20% from the three point line and 34% on field goals for a total of 7 points in 18 minutes. That literally means he shot way too much for his scoring ability. He can still make a career in NBA as a 6th man in some team but dude is far away from his New York insanity era and that is why he is not finding any place to find, teams are afraid he will try too hard to show himself again and fail miserably while dragging the team down as well.

Celtics could be a good landing for him. Too many guards there. They need a forward/center type.

I don't think he is great even he is still in NYK. I remember the time when Linsanity has been named to him. I think it is the buzzer beater three by him. After that he did stepped up but slowly stepped down. He is not great for me

I'm a fan of him but it's because I've got some other reasons and he's supporting e-sports and even built a team named after him.
