It's funny that these warriors fans suddenly brought up the KD injury. When GSW was dominating the Western Conference on their way to the Finals, they say they do not need KD or that the Warriors play better without KD. Just give credit where credit is due, the Raptors did well to keep their team healthy somehow despite their tough and long battles with the Sixers and the Bucks.

Next season, the east will still remain tough for the Raptors but I still expect them to deliver (if Kahwi stays). There will be a new champion in the Western conference.

Raptor's victory has lots of question if they will really dominate next season, they are battling the injured Warriors, that's why they won in the series.
If Thompson and Durant was healthy, they will not win the series, and even if Thompson was not injured in the game, that's still 50/50 for them.

If they got champ next season and have faced a healthy team, them I would believe they really are the best team in the NBA.

That is completely fine. It would only mean that this season is really for them, they have shown it on game one where they were able to face the main team of GSW. We all know that Cousins and KD were just actually not in GSW when the GSW dominates the NBA. Raptors defeating them on the previous games even if Klay was there was pretty legit and they should really take the credits.

In fact only, Kawhi was the star player of Raptors and him facing one on one with Curry is just fair
Destiny brings the title for Barney, who would've thought that this incident will happen, KD was out since the Blazers and the team manage to sweep them out, there's no reason behind but the complete determinations of Barney to win the series, as a basketball fan and always following and believing the Warriors, missing Klay added mental fatigue to the entire team though they'd tried to hold and win the last game 6 but luck might be not in their side anymore, a clear shot for Curry might change the game for them but it didn't drop.

Warriors is gonna be a different team by next season, lots of their players are free agent, so that would probably change their destiny especially if Klay will leave the Warriors. IMO he is underrated and we know how hard he try to win for this team to come back, he was consistent, curry was not.

What we have right now, are there any rumors of superstar transfers and surprising change of roster?

This is what I know right now.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2019/04/22/2020-nba-free-agent-rankings-anthony-davis-draymond-green-and-the-top-15-overall/#5a05c82f63f2

I think Davis is the most popular since it is been a topic for a while now, other players are not that of talk but I think this will be a thing when it is already happening. Kawhi and Durant are not included since it is said that they already said their plans. Kawhi is in Cloud nine that he even forgot his MVP trophy at Press Conference, what a great guy. "Everybody Deserves it".

Hahaha LOL at Kawhi. With Davis, I've searched for some news and I've seen that there's relation to Lebron James. And for Draymond Green, he'll stay to Golden State Warriors and the matter is just about the contract that he has depending on Klay and KD's reaction with their injuries. No doubt that the franchise would sign for these two superstars and will invest max money and that might sacrifice Green's contract or lower his salary. Did I understand the situation correctly guys?

I hope there's still chance that AD will be transferred to the Lakers, I like to see Bron again back in the NBA finals now that the Warriors does not look as unbeatable as they are, Durant might be out for the entire next season, so With AD and Bron playing together, they are tough to beat.
I think the Lakers management will pursue to get Davis. Lakers to the NBA Finals?? Hmmm I don't think they can go to NBA Finals with Bron and AD only. They need a 3rd all star that can help them because we know that most of the players in the roster are young.

For the Warriors, I think they need to shuffle their players. Maybe trade 2-3 bench players that can help the all stars. Durant's recovery will be around 4-6 months but it depends. I believe that Durant will play next season but still in the Warriors Cheesy

I hope that they will be consistent for few years and then pass the title to another team that haven't made to the finals and still doesn't have the NBA championship title.

But they work very hard and this is the result, their first ever NBA championship so congrats to the whole management of Toronto specially to the players and coach.
It's not too late for me to congratulate them, they really have worked hard for this first ever championship for their team. A big thumbs up for Kawhi Leonard for bringing up the team to the finals and not just that but they took home the most wanting title of each NBA team. Yes, it was a cinderalla story for the Raptors and we should give credit where it's due. They really work hard on this one, I don't know what the odds are for them in the Philly's and Milwaukee series, but it looks like they are the underdogs specially against the Bucks, and the same with Golden State. But they work very hard and this is the result, their first ever NBA championship so congrats to the whole management of Toronto specially to the players and coach.

Wow. I didnt thought about that. Yes, it was like a cinderalla story. It is just that it took a lot of years before they could get it.
Now here is the list of teams who still doesnt have a championship.

OKC Thunder. Won a championship but with Seattle SuperSonics so it doesnt add up.

Teams with Finals appearances:
Utah Jazz
Brooklyn Nets formerly New Jersey Nets
Phoenix Suns
Orlando Magic
Indiana Pacers

Non appearance teams:
Charlotte Hornets
Denver Nuggets
New Orleans Pelicans
Memphis Gtizzlies
Los Angeles Clippers
Minnesota Timberwolves.

I will bet for Denver next year.

Once again, congratulations to TORONTO RAPTORS for bringing the Larry O' Brien trophy in the #north.

Let's set aside all negative "reasons" here why they won. They worked for it from the start. Let's appreciate their effort. It's clear that they played well throughout the whole season-playoffs-finals. Golden State Warriors accepted their defeat after the final buzzer so why some of their fans still looking for an unhealthy and non-sense discussion about this.

And if I'm not mistaken, Game 6 is only the game in the finals series where both teams are exchanging leads the whole time. The game was closed until the final seconds.

Kawhi Leonard really extracted "what's more" in his teammates. These "choking" Raptors every season really changed when he arrived. This is the second time he is part of the team that defeated a team who are on the way to the 3-peat champion (the first one is against the Miami Heat).

DeRozan , Valančiūnas, former coach Casey and other former members of the Raptors squad that helped the franchise to where it's now are surely happy that their brothers finally made it to the top.

Happy that I'm able to take advantage of high odds for Raptors (Series @3, Game 3 @2.6, Game [email protected]). Didn't placed a bet in Game 5 and 6 because plan to bet at Game 7. Time now to drink hard. Smiley

Even if KD will not play for the GS Warriors next year they are still favorites to win the title
https://twitter.com/OddsShark/status/1139384551891881986
snip..

It's really understandable, Warriors had their own fair share of being unfortunate in this years playoffs, It could have been an entirely different story If the warriors were in perfect conditions just as the Raptors were.

So, except for Durant's unavailability warriors should still be the side to beat come next season, but I think the Raptors are still a bit underrated and teams should be weary of them next season too.

Let us now wait for the Memes to pop out at social media. Grin

It is all over social media right now and that really irritates me. A lot of bandwagons are supporting Raptors now while in the past they are all supporting the Warriors and even debating one after the other. Congratulations to Raptors and mah boi Lin for winning the championship. The guy did his best to support his team and let's not forget Miller.
Funny how those people who are now riding with the raptors victory will turned again after the new season, when those trades will take part and with the super teams to be created, for sure this will change their minds again choosing another team to support, loyalty will not stay with the raptors since they are not really a fan but just riding with the result today.
No doubt for this one yet people would normally jump into the ship for those who do like raptors due to current finals situation but you cant completely say that they wouldnt have that loyalty because i cant blame them on getting impressed on what raptors is showing.Getting a championship trophy is really a hard fought one and so they do really deserve it.

No doubt about that.
But I am waiting for more than just memes now.

Those what they call themselves basketball analysts which just weighs the game because of injuries and not because one team worked hard for it.

Here is one example of them.
Basketball Analyst:
2015 GSW won just because Love and Irving is injured.
2016 Cavs win because Love and Irving is back. That just means how weak the GSW is. (Yeah right, a weak team being the WCF champion)
2017-2018 GSW just won because KD is there.
2019 Raptors win because KD and Klay is injured.
2020 If Raptors and Warriors meet again in the Finals.
1. They won because the GSW is healthy again.
2. The Raptors won because there is still no KD and Klay.

What the heck!!!

Me as just a Sports Fan:
Congratulations to the Raptors. They worked hard for it. They deserve it.

Personally my favorite team this year was the Golden State warriors not Raptors. But after I wacthed the game and the Raptors became champion this team have good startegy and have unity that can result for them to win in 2019.

Don't fight because we have different bet team to win remember this is a game and all us to do is to support your team what ever happen just like to happened to Warriors even they did not the winner in my heart they will be still winner to me.
